Had a dream the other night that a huge pair of hands came down from the clouds and handed me a dvd copy of Monty Python And The Holy Grail and bellowed out something along the lines of “your life has been forever changed by the greatest movie ever created, spread the film as I did to you.”
I have never seen Monty Python And The Holy Grail, or hell any Monty Python in general.
Had a covid and flu vaccine-induced 12+ hour sleep yesterday that ended up being about some magical girl show. I doodled what I remembered about two of the characters.
Dream rambling below about the story:
Show is about Main Girl coming to Earth from another realm to chase after Big Bad, who is named Gray-somethingoranother. His forces had already arrived on Earth and were causing chaos. Main Girl tries to fight them herself, but realizes she's outclassed, so she shares her abilities among three other girls from Earth, and they become a team working together to take down Big Bad's forces.
However, season 1 deals with a big obstacle in their way in the form of Main Girl's Rival. Rival is….kind of dumb. Dressed in black and white, her whole obsession is over contrasts, and she is a main thorn in Main Girl's side for the entire season. With her monster entourage, she causes chaos on Earth and prevents the team from actually getting to the Big Bad and confronting him. As the season progresses, you find out what her deal is and….it's really dumb.
See, back in Magic School or whatever, Rival and Main Girl got paired up to be a duo, and Rival was thoroughly upset because she didn't see Main Girl as a good contrast against her… so she defected. Season 1 resolves with Main Girl defeating Rival and pointing out that actually, they are contrasts. Rival is a loner who dresses in black and white, and Main Girl is outgoing, friendly, and dresses in colorful pinks and oranges. This opens Rival's eyes, and she does a 180, declaring that she and Main Girl are now a couple and will get married and screw the Big Bad.
Main Girl and her team start out Season 2 realizing that while they could fight the Rival and her groupies, they are utterly outclassed against the Big Bad. Cue training episodes and looking for more team members. Lots of homoerotic moments between Main Girl and her friends. However, during the bonding moments, Rival comes in try and monopolize Main Girl's time, with the encouragement of her monster entourage (they defected from Big Bad to join her). Main Girl, instead of telling Rival off, just kind of takes it with a sigh. Like, to her, after Big Bad is defeated and they go home, she and Rival will be together forever, but for now Main Girl is going to flirt and have MOMENTS with other girls.
I didn't get much further than this in the dream lol
There was one other detail in that a live action movie was made of them, and it was like some 90's, made for TV, kind of movie. Cheap costumes, low quality film, bad special effects… In it, Rival's character was split among two people: a guy dressed in all black, and a girl dressed in all white. Their theme was like, bride and groom. The guy had a bunch of romantic tension with Main Girl in the movie. Rival was totally okay with this because she thought that they had good contrast against each other lol.
Oh, also the show had a school setting when there wasn't fighting. Main Girl goes to Earth School, and is seen as some weird exchange student because she doesn't get a lot of Earth stuff. The other girls attend this school. I think they were around 14 in age, give or take. Also they may or may not have been a idol group. Details were fuzzy.
Had a dream about Tadc so I'm gonna write down everything I remember
Mall episode-?
Jax avoids the group the entire time and mostly pomni, very irritable, very unstable emotionally
Caine is following the group around in a city before they get to the mall
Pomni convinces the rest of the gang to help her talk to Jax
Whole montage of gang trying to speak to Jax with him increasingly getting more agitated, growing eyes, skin darkening and glitching
I remember a shot with Gangle and Zooble sitting with a very zoned out Jax speaking to him
A part where Pomni finally gets Jax to talk to her and they have a really nice moment talking about everything- ect
Ragatha is outside the boothe that Pomni and Jax are in and starts singing, "I'm just a rag dolly." Joined by the other circus members
Jax is saved, yay
Acts very awkward around the circus group but eventually opens up and starts running around and playing in the mall
I remember him saying something along the lines of "I knew you approved of it!" While smugly looking at Zooble and (Ragatha (?)
Everyone hanging out with Caine watching from a distance
Pomni spots him and walks over
Caine is startled from zoning out
Pomni invites him to join one of the adventures and actually play it with the circus gang, and he agrees, although he's shocked by the ask (i recall next adventure being like.. a fnaf ripoff sort of deal?)
The last shot is everyone messing around in the mall, making a mess, but laughing and Caine again, watching from the distance with Bubble
Maybe I'll draw some parts of it,, I've yet to draw tadc fanart anyway
Dreams are weird... last night I had a dream that an event shadow dropped on Club Penguin Journey.
I barely remember two things about it.
On the log in screen, there was a small animation of a mad scientist laughing, a big robot, and two ninjas throwing snowballs out the window.
I tried to do a concept on how the scientist looked like. Granted- it's been a few hours and I kinda forgot the details, all I recall is that he had Gariwald's hairdo. but, longer/exaggerated. and he was lime green.
As for the event, there was a new mini game that was pretty similar to "Raft Wars" and "Conquer Antarctica" (two flash games)
I tried to do a mock up on how it looked like.
A multiplayer game where penguins would be placed in teams of three.
Your objective was to knock out the other team off their iceberg.
Icebergs would "upgrade" each round and sometimes barriers would show.
Also friendly fire is a thing- and power/up items?
I say these because I recall the team (in my dream), was so bad they hit me and depleted my penguin's HP. And the last shot was like, a bomb? (Could be a hot sauce lol).
