I will restore you, and you shall be rebuilt ~ Jeremiah 31:4
In order to become new we must have a desire to change and allow for ourselves to be broken down in order to be built back up again. However, the structure that is build this time around must not be the exact same as before. Rather it has to bring something new, something that shows we have been transformed.
A image that comes to mind is that of a city that is constantly going under change or construction to bring a better life for the people who live there. Just like the city, Christ calls us to be ever open to change so He can bring a better life to ourselves, others, and the world.
Sometimes the Lord has to break down our whole structures to bring us the deep healing we need.
Friends, don’t be afraid of your poverty, weakness, and littleness. It is in and through both that Christ brings healing and union with Him. Let the Lord reorient your life back to what matters, back to Him.
Lord let us accept ourselves as we are, not just some parts but all. May we learn to fully love, forgive, and show ourselves mercy. We ask you to bring us into full union with ourselves again.🤍
