Metaxas: LGBT Activist Government Effectively Establishes a Religion

American freedom is dying because we are losing religious liberty.

Religious Freedom in America is a two sided coin. While Christians have the right to believe that homosexuality is a sin,  Like all Freedoms in America, Religious Freedom ends where a non-believer’s rights begin.

The 1964 Civil Rights Act, helped to define where our Religious Freedom begins and ends.  Today, most Americans support the idea that public businesses cannot refuse service to an individual because of their race, religion, or sex.  Evangelical Christians, are afraid that gay Americans may one day be included in the Civil Rights Act or a similar legislation.

The Evangelical Christian Movement, began in the South and most supported segregation and were the loudest critics of the Civil Rights Act.  Just remember Religious Freedom is a two sided coin.  Religious Freedom cannot exist if you do not protect non-believers from the beliefs of the many.

I have always believed true freedom only comes from financial freedom.  As long as you owe money, you are someone’s slave.  The Republican Party, has been hijacked by Radical Christian Extremist with the goal of using government to force their dangerous religious agenda on the American People.  No one’s freedom is safe with the GOP.

Colorado baker wants U.S. Supreme Court to hear same-sex couple case

A Colorado baker wants the U.S. Supreme Court to hear his case on his refusal to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple, citing his religious beliefs.

Religious Freedom must protect Gay Americans from the persecution of conservative Christians.  Religious Discrimination is not protected in the Civil Rights Act of 1964.  Jews cannot deny service to Muslims.  While White Supremacist believe their Bible encourages segregation, they cannot deny service to blacks.  For better or for worse, Public Accommodation has strengthen the power of the melting pot which makes each and everyone of us uniquely American.

DIVORCE KILLS TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE; GAYS BLAMED

Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Council, said, “we know from the social science and from thousands of years of human history. Societies rise and fall based on the strength of families.  Perkins continues, “ Now what’s the key to a strong family?  It is a strong marriage between a man and a woman.”

 I don’t know Mr. Perkins. I wish Christian Evangelicals would think before they react.  New research indicates 3.5 percent of the population is homosexual.  Statistically speaking, I don’t believe 3.5 percent of the population will “destroy Western Civilization” or cause the breakdown of “traditional marriages.”

 With up to 50 percent of “traditional” marriages ending in divorce, it seems that Western Civilization was doomed long before the first same-sex-marriage even took place.  Mr. Perkins stop using gay Americans to frighten senior citizens to give you their pension and social security money.   Gay Americans are not the issue.

 Most polls, list Money problems are the number one reason for divorce.  Stop Lobbying are elected officials; Congress is prohibited from passing laws that support your religious beliefs over others’ beliefs. Let our elected officials govern.   #restriction free

Do Christians Have Gay Friends?

Gay Americans are very diverse.  Some believe in God and some don’t.  Some worship God on Saturday in a Synagogue and others pray to God on Sunday in their local church.  The average gay man does not hate God or Christians.

Homosexuals hate the hypocrisy and the ignorance found in many Christian Evangelical Churches.  The statements made by Christian leaders about gay Americans are inaccurate myths; suggesting few have close gay friends.  Most Gay Americans support Religious Freedom and understand that Christians have an undeniable right to believe that homosexuality is an Abomination.

That is the problem. Christians don’t know or have gay friends.  Like most childhood fears, homophobia is fear of the unknown.  These Christian leaders prey upon the fears of elderly believers with deep pockets that fund political campaign after campaign.

 Political leaders beat their chest and shake their fist demanding action.  Always knowing the Constitution prohibits Congress from passing laws that favor one religion over another or one religion over no religion.  Activists don’t care if a law is poorly written and will be overturned, because there is big money to be made in saving America from the fictional gay Agenda.  At the end of the day, it provided a great photo-op and sound bite for political candidates.
