I gotta finish my game about pixies so I can have another thing I made to come back to every year and immerse myself in. I gotta finish that VN about pupation. I need to finish the. I need to make a thousand paintings. I have to learn every single art style. I must study music theory. I need to create a 50 hour 3D platforming collectathon all by myself. I need to direct a movie. I have to write a book. I gotta build sculptures of all my favorite characters.

There's a level of frustration I have that can only be quelled if I make an insanely good piece of art one day and I think that's why reading Infinite Jest deals psychic damage to me because the brothers are the embodiment of the three things your art can be: (Perfect and goes beyond you), (good but interchangeable with a thousand other things), and (only appeals to niche audiences and will be used as an example of what not to be).
