Okay, accomplishment and woe sandwhich.

Accomplishment - Today I applied to have the lien removed from my title so I could get an updated title! The guy that helped me out was super kind during the process while I literally shook.

Woe - Windows Media Player and the newer Media Player won't save playlists and I can't seem to find anything else online for how to fix it so I have to manually organize my songs every time to keep em in order.

Accomplishment - I have come up with a delightfully heartwrenching chapter for later on where I get to make Caine cry because he wanted to be like a cat in a book I like.

OH MY GOD I DIDN'T HAVE A FOLDER SPECIFIED FOR MUSIC THAT'S WHY THE PLAYLISTS WOULDN'T SAVE

I legitimately don't even get HOW because I thought they were set to the music folder like a normal!

Stuff like that makes me glad I started downloading fics regardless of read status.

And, honestly, sometimes it makes me wonder if someone ever did the same with my own one-shots.

Somewhere, out there, there's a Wizard of OZ fanwork titled Fireflies or smthn that someone downloaded because they loved it. And then saw I deleted it.

And at least for me, I regret deleting it. I never had a backup of it. I kind of hope someone out there still has that.

Same goes for that embarassing fic of Sans Underfell having to come face to face with a Dakimakura of himself and a room full of merch of him, called Say Pillow. (Though at least that one I have a backup of, including the second chapter I never posted.)

Was going through bookmarks to back-up fics I was either reading or curious about and one of the fics /authors is just straight up gone from AO3 entirely. . . :(

Like, I got lucky that I saved the epub up to their 5/16 update, but, like, that's still hella sad. Their latest notes said they were working on another fic.

Hope they're okay.

Went to the gym for onboarding today. Thought I'd missed something when I went in past friday. . .

Didn't fully get the grasp of what that meant until the guy had already ran through exercises with me, done a bmi or somethin-machine thing, and then gone and sat me at a computer and started naming prices for personal training.

I thought I was in there to set up an app to get into the place when they weren't there. I'd already paid the initial fee and agreed to a year contract and billing.

Anyway, I think I was accidentally obnoxious because I thought I'd turned off all my phone sounds, but turned out my alarm for 4pm was still on and I didn't catch it til after 1-5min past?? (Oh god it was set to get louder the longer it was ignored and i had headphones in)

Also I didn't realize there was paper towels and cleaner to wipe the equipment we used til I'd switched machines and was 30 mins in. (I did go back to wipe the first machine and then the second, but still bugs meeeeee)

I do feel good physically, but mentally I'm getting brain zaps that make my hand flail out to burn energy.

Sometimes you rewatch The Big Comfy Couch and relate a little too well to the effectively mute doll in episode 1 of season 2, Babs in Toyland, who was feeling replaced and didn't know how to handle it.

Molly, you are definitely a forming factor in my early days.

Sure, Loonette gave me the tuck and roll from the stretch segment, but you make me cry to relate to. That's something special.

Wow. I'm genuinely so damn glad I've been putting my song-inspos in a text doc as I find them because YouTube like.. completely thrashed my main playlist for literally no reason.

That kind of thing has absolutely burned my motivation in the past and I do NOT want to deal with that.

Time to download literally every song I even remotely put into even the 'The vibes are good, but not sure where to put them' playlist, too, just to be safe.

Asking for a friend (I'm friend)

What is a good way to figure out how to pace a fanfic/story when you've only ever done one-shots before?

So far the best idea I've had is to just work on a playlist with story beats and try to figure out what to put between certain songs to make it seem less... Hm... Slapdash?

Kind of like an audio-cue kinda thing.

Barring my severe lack of more neutral songs to add to it, trying to figure out other ways to figure pacing out.

Caine wouldnt ignore me needing a break on a 10hour ahift. He'd send me on a little adventure halfway or sooner and call me a dapper rubber ducky baby when i come back full of adrenaline and aim to slaughter.
