These glass beads are Referred to as Aurora borealis jewellery or glass with a rainbow of colour-since it’s invention in the 1950’s, the Aurora borealis coating on beads and rhinestones has been a timeless classic. The top half of this pic hadn’t been cleaned for a long time I believe. I cleaned it today and it’s come up beautifully. A rainbow 🌈 of colours which are truly amazing to see. The picture does not do it justice at all 💍 . The product I used to clean this is called Connoisseurs Jewellery cleaner (an American product) and you can purchase it at Salera’s jewellers and it’s not expensive at all. Flamingos are pink. We can either admire them or laugh at them (and often both) so here are a few facts on these adorable creatures. The colour pink comes from beta-carotene in the crustaceans and plankton that they eat. They perform a mating dance often referred to as the Flamingo flamenco. Both the male and female of a mating pair build a nest together, and both sit on the egg while it incubates for about a month. Both parents take turns in feeding the young chick. Us humans could learn a lot from these beautiful birds. Plastic lawn flamingos are an American cultural icon that was introduced in 1957 by artist Don Featherstone. In the 21st century they are considered endangered. Efforts are underway to revive the art form, and in 2009, Madison, Wisconsin, named the plastic pink flamingo the city’s official bird. It’s great to support local small businesses. We all know how hard it is at first but keep at it. The only way is up. This is a further pic of the wonderful earrings and bonus gift(brooch) which I wasn’t expecting but it was a fantastic surprise. @missflyingsaucershop was a pleasure to deal with.
