it can be disheartening for sure, when you're seeing people post all these magical things about communicating with the gods and you can't seem to. it's completely understandable to feel like that. here are a few things i like to keep in mind when engaging with the content people post about their divine interactions:
people are way more likely to post about the uncommon high notes of their practice than the general, boring day-to-day stuff, because the crazier more interesting interactions will get them more attention and garner more interest. that's how it is with anything.
some people have set schedules where they divine with their gods in order to get advice or aid from them, lending to the frequency of their divine encounters. this is part of a deal i've made with hermes, for instance. it does not make them or their practice inherently better or more "in tune" with the gods, it just makes it a different sort of relationship.
people very often play things up for entertainment value. this includes recounting their experiences with the divine. i've done it plenty. most interactions are too abstract or flat out weird to recount without spicing things up a little.
sometimes people straight up lie about it. sometimes their confirmation bias gets in the way but they want to post about it anyways. it happens. this is social media.
communication with the gods is a skill that can be practiced. divination methods can be practiced. clairsenses (if you want to call them that) can be trained. sure, some people might be more predisposed to it, but it's like that with any skill. it's like a muscle; the more you train it, the more you become capable of. likewise, if you fall off with it, it can atrophy.
you can communicate with the gods without "feeling" their presence in your space, and vice versa. i hardly ever "feel" my gods around, i'm just able to trust that they're there because i've been doing this for nearly a decade, lol.
very rarely does it have anything to do with you intrinsically as a person, or what you're doing in your practice. better yet, it's absolutely something you can start working on. if you want to start picking up two-way communication with the gods, and you know a form of divination (or want to learn one), that's a fantastic place to start.
