With QSMP 2 just around the corner, there's a lot of confusion and misinformation going around in regards to the infamous "QSMP admins scandal" of 2024, and there hasn't been a convenient and accessible way to familiarize yourself with the situation... until today.

How Quackity Studios Got Away With Workplace Abuse provides a timeline of the events that transpired between March 3, 2024 and May 24, 2024, a detailed description of the issues revealed by the ex-admins, and addresses some discourse concerns that I’d seen floating around.

You can read it as a Google document, or watch it as a YouTube video. (Though please note that the video version will not contain any information or changes added to the document post initial release and might have different wording to accommodate for the different format.)

I really want to believe that Quackity made everything right with the admins..... but considering we never got an official statement or anything that everything is ok dispite it being 2 years since then, I'm very hesitant to just jump in to qsmp 2, even though I'd be super hyped and excited otherwise

Quackity seems like a pretty down to earth guy but the fact that he barely communicated with the effected parties is concerning, I hope it's just a case that it's his first huge smp project and he was just in over his head and didn't know how to handle it all properly

Even then, NOT a fan of a qsmp 2 announcement before the admin problems are resolved and properly apologized for

I'll be so upset if after everything they have the same problems again......

being black in any art community is such a strange feeling cause you’ll see just blatant racism being expressed in others art and you have to just casually ignore it, for your sake if anything, colorism being something that’s just fundamentally there in every artist and you deal with it cause it’s not worth it in the end to even think of it too hard let alone even mentioning it, it’s definitely something
