This piece links to an important multi-page exposé representing special emphasis by the venerable New York Times to provide us with a current, detailed look at “all-things-Russia” as relates to the likely-illegitimate election of Donald Trump.
Yes, you’ve heard much of this before — but it’s just not possible for any of us to have had the wherewithal to parse the daily drip, drip, drip of information and intelligence coming forth and draw valid conclusions about the overall magnitude of the mess in which we Americans find ourselves, going into the November midterm elections.
And yup, we’re all SICK of hearing about this and that’s EXACTLY the point. This post represents an opportunity to get caught up on the details of the Russia-Trump narrative and personally form some overall conclusions while waiting for a report from Robert Mueller, which will come at some future time after the midterm elections. I sincerely hope you already know HOW you will vote and WHO you will be voting for in November — but could you articulate your position to someone else in a reasonably-informed fashion as to the WHY of your vote, given the overwhelming volume of Russia-related breaking news we’ve had to process in the past two years?
Even if you don’t consider yourself to be a “news junkie” or especially political, this post is now crossing your feed and you do have a choice to make. I hope you will please reblog it and read it now or save it for reading in the next few days. I dare say there has never been a time in the lifetime of any living American when being informed about the current circumstances in which we find ourselves and our country has been more critical.
And finally, I would be remiss if I didn’t state flatly that I do not consider this piece to be definitive of or encompassing all that is thought to be integral to the Russia-Trump story. But I do believe it to be an excellent overall summation, delivering exactly what the average American needs to understand about what we know of this unseemly narrative thus far. And, most assuredly, its timing is a dead-on bullseye.
