A sort of ‘before and after’ comparison. It isn’t close to being done, but I’m proud of it!

It is what she is. It is what she will always be. Never has the dragon questioned her existence or duty, content to live life within the Arbor Wilds. Tasked with the protection of the altar of the all-mother brought her the purest form of joy. 

And then the sky was torn asunder. A voice touched her mind. Go, it urged. Find them.

The pain of that moment had been unbearable.

When interacting with characters from the Dragon Age universe, I will be using this verse as my default. Rhaegal is an unnamed high dragon that resides deep within the Arbor Wilds. She is the guardian of Mythal and has not strayed from the land surrounding the altar for well over a century. 

In this verse, she has abandoned the altar at the bidding of the all-mother. No longer does she appear as a colossal, green-scaled dragon but as an elven woman. She bears no markings and responds to inquiries with minimal answers - ‘The wilds, far from here’ and ‘My family is gone.’

Many assume she is an apostate.

She makes her appearance shortly after the Inquisitor and company settle in Skyhold, goes by the name Vethari, and offers her services as an advisor / companion.

My most important decision while re-making Rhaegal’s verse for Dragon Age has to be making her alternate form be that of an elf.
