Printable 2023 Beatles Calendar
I make a calendar for myself every year, and for 2023, it is inevitably a Beatles calendar using scans from old magazines. I wanted to share it on here in case anyone else finds themselves in need of a Beatles calendar. Happy New Year!
It's a mini calendar (4.5 x 7 inches) to hang up, or you could use it on a shelf or desk (with a photo stand, etc). Here is a pdf that is formatted to print the whole calendar using 6 sheets of letter paper (2 months to a page) with outlines for cutting out each month. Card stock or thicker paper works super well for this. That's what I've used for mine.
If you're curious, here are the scans used for each month: Jan – the first page of this article from a 1964 movie magazine Feb – cute photo of George from a 1964 guitar magazine March – this fan survey and wallet pics April – by Robert Whitaker, photos from 16 Magazine May – unfinished calendar page by Robert Whitaker and Martin Sharpe (I was so excited to use something from this) July – Ringo article from 1964 fan magazine Sep – ad with artwork by John Van Hamersveld Oct – pic from the Beatle Fun Kit Nov – cover of The Beatles by Norman Parkinson Dec – 1964 fan magazine pin-ups

The Beatles + Their Art: Paul McCartney
“My view is that these things are there whether you want them or not, in your interior.”
Drawings by Paul McCartney of John Lennon and George Harrison | 1967
You can immediately spot John Lennon’s sideburns and glasses, as well as George Harrison’s distinctive hair and eyebrows. The artist of the exquisite pen sketch? Their bandmate Paul McCartney.
It was 55 years ago today (or thereabouts) when the Beatle was asked by the journalist Hunter Davies how Lennon and Harrison had looked when they played in their previous incarnation, the Quarrymen. Rather than answer the question, McCartney grabbed a notebook and drew them.
