Chevalier Michel - I fell in love with you that day â Choose your true love - Event Summary
This is mostly a summary for me - I make no promises on the accuracy of whatâs happening. Iâm not nearly fluent enough to get half the jokes/innuendo much less accurate plot points.
When Emma wakes up, she is in a pitch-black forest, which is weird since the last thing she remembers is waiting for Chevalier in his library.
Thereâs a unique smell to the forest, iron and something burning. As far as dreams go, this one is very vivid, and Emma trembles as the smell triggers memories of the last time she participated in a war. Thankfully, she cant hear any sounds of fighting around her, so sheâs safe for now.
Her heart pounding, Emma forces her legs to carry her forward, until she enters a clearing with a large lake reflecting the moonlight. And on the edge of the lake, wearing a dark cloak is a familiar figure.
Emma calls out to Chevalier as she hurries towards him, the smell of blood and battle growing stronger as she nears him. She can see that Chevalierâs clothes are covered in something red, and he kneels down to scoop up water to wash himself.
Drawing close to him, Emma asks what happened and reaches out to touch him.
Chevalier recoils from her, unsheathing his sword and resting the tip just at her throat. He demands to know who she is. Very carefully, Emma tells him her name.
(Actually, this is just how he says 'hello')
Not helpful. Chevalier does not recognize the name nor the person.
Is this really Chevalier in front of her? His eyes are so cold that Emma can feel her blood freeze, and the traces of warmth she is used to is gone. She remembers back when she first met Chevalier, the ruthless bestial gaze, but this might be even worse. She can feel the hostility radiate from him, and itâs intense enough that she canât breathe.
Chevalier tells her to run away, unless she wants to be killed. The tip of his sword is just touching the skin at her neck. The murderous intent half-convinces Emma that if she moves at all, he will chop of her head.
Emma mentally calms herself down, taking one deep breath after another. She needs to figure out what is going on.
Feeling better, Emma looks into Chevalierâs murderous gaze and asks him what is going on. She explains that she was reading back at the castle and suddenly she was here. It looks like heâs covered in blood, and it looks like a war is going on, so sheâs understandably confused.
Chevalier doesnât answer her.
But the hositilty has decreased, so he lowers his sword.
Chevalier sheathes his sword, turns, and walks away. Unlike usual, there is no âcome with meâ look, but Emma decides to follow him. She doesnât want to be alone in this place, even if it means being with a Chevalier who does not know her.
Upon returning to the forest, two people intercept Chevalier. His younger brother, Clavis, and the traitor knight, Sir Flandres. Itâs the later that puts things into place for Emma, Flandres was a knight of the foreign policy faction 10 years ago
Both Clavis and Flandres were too agitated to even notice her and focused on Chevalier. Flandres begs Chevalier to reconsider, his family is among the 1,000 hostages captured by Obsidian. He asks if Chevalier really intends to abandon all those he has sworn to protect? If they mobilize the knights, then maybe they can save them.
Chevalier refuses to change his decision, even though Clavis argues that they could still win. Chevalier reminds them that Obsidian has firearms, and if they walk into the obvious trap, the 1,000 citizens will die along with the knights. Flandres asks if they could do a more covert operation to save them, but Chevalier refuses to waste the military power on this.
Clavis reminds him that he is consigning 1,000 people to death. Chevalier reminds Clavis that they are at war, people are going to die, but if they donât win, then the entire country will be wiped off the map. He is getting tired of saying the exact same thing over and over again. Chevalier pushes past the two, as they stare at his speechless.
Somehow Emma was transported to 10 years in the past, when Rhodolite was invaded by Obsidian and all 7 princes went to the battlefield.
She is at the day when Chevalier let 1,000 hostages die, the Blood-Stained Rose Day.
Emma has no explanation of why she is here and how she went back in time, but this is too real to be just a dream.
She sits near Chevalier in the command tent as soldiers bring in reports. And each report is dire â with them losing land and Chevalier making decisions to abandon one battle and send more troops to another.
One of the scouts reports the Supreme Commander of the Obsidian Army was briefly spotted, and Chevalier asks if they have spotted Ever-Victorious Marshal. Nope, Gilbert is suspiciously absent. Chevalier muses that if they manage to kill the emperor, the fighting will be over. A soldier points out that the Supreme Commander, the Emperor of Obsidian, is the best fighter on the continent, no one can kill him.
Chevalier tells them to send for him the moment they pinpoint the Emperorâs position, he will fight him himself. He warns them not to engage the Emperor.
As the soldier leaves to spread Chevalierâs orders regarding the Emperor, another scout comes with more reports.
So far, with everyone focused on Chevalier, no one has noticed her. Or maybe they have, they just have other things to worry about. Instead, Emma is left by herself to listen to Chevalier give out order after order, and she is quickly overwhelmed by the cruelty of the war. As the night breaks into day, Emma feels a little safer, but it is impossible to relax.
Lucian, a face Emma can recognize, comes forward with an urgent report. Chevalier doesnât even need to hear it to know, his stupid brother went and did it, right? Lucian asks if Chevalier was expecting it, and Chevalier admits that he wishes he wasnât.
The other side now has Clavis and is demanding hostage negotiations. How would Chevalier like to handle this?
Chevalier tells Lucian to ignore the demand, if his stupid brother got himself into this situation, he can get himself out. Chevalier has made it clear that he does not intend to negotiate.
Even Emma is chilled by his disregard, and she has the advantage of knowing exactly how it will turn out.
One of the nearby soldiers objects and asks if Chevalier is sure. Chevalier reminds him that Clavis entered the enemy camp on his own, and he asks how many people should he sacrifice to rescue Clavis? The soldier backs down, and Chevalier tells the soldier not to think about unnecessary things and focus on their roles.
Emma muses that even though Clavis is his brother, Chevalier has no doubt in his decision to abandon him. She understands that if Chevalier makes the wrong choice, Rhodolite will be overrun by Obsidian troops and lose the war. He accepts the responsibility of making the ultimate judgments on the battlefield, right or wrong.
As Emma thinks about what Chevalier and the others are going through, Lucien abruptly looks at Emma and asks who she is.
Chevalier shrugs, he has no idea either. She just started following him and didnât run away.
Eventually, the reports stop, and Chevalier calls for Lucien. Heâs going to go for a walk. Lucien asks if he should come with him, but Chevalier tells him not to. Lucien then tells Chevalier to be careful.
Emma decides to join Chevalier, she doesnât want to stay behind without him.
Chevalier makes a beeline into the forest, and judging from the way heâs moving, he seems to have a destination in mind. This isnât the casual break she was expecting. As she frantically follows him, Chevalier abruptly stops. He warns her that if she continues to follow him, he wonât guarantee sheâll live. Emma assures him that sheâs not worried, and unless he really canât have her with him, she would still like to accompany him. She wants to know what happened during the Blood-Stained Rose Day. Chevalier is visibly confused, and Emma realizes that this war doesnât even have a name yet. Chevalier calls her strange, snorts, and continues forward.
Under the cover of darkness, Chevalier hides in the shadows. There are multiple tents pitched nearby, all bearing the Obsidian Crest.
Emma is shocked at how easily Chevalier is approaching enemy territory, but he seems to be handling the situation. Looking at the tents, Emma is surprised at how few soldiers she can see.
Just as Emma begins to second guess herself, Chevalier unsheathes his sword and boldly walks into the enemy camp. The soldiers all shout in alarm and recognize Chevalier as the enemy commander. The soldiers at the front aim their firearms at Chevalier, but he is too fast and swings his sword before they can fire. For the first time in a while, Emma sees people die in front of her. Only a few soldiers have firearms, and the rest attack with melee weapons, but are struck down in turn.
Emma is shaking from the sight, but with no signs of reinforcements coming, she steels her legs and watches Chevalier. Finished with the soldiers, Chevalier enters the largest tent in the camp, only to quickly emerge, dragging a man with him by the hair.
The man is wearing a commanderâs uniform, and he is shouting at Chevalier to release him and threatening him. Chevalier ignores him, throws him to the ground, and stabs the man through the shoulder with his sword. The man threatens that if Chevalier wonât stop, he wonât rescind the order to burn alive all those prisoners of war. Chevalier stabs him through his other shoulder, pointing out that the execution is already happening right this moment. He notes that since this commander and his subordinates are here, that means they didnât have the stomach to see their execution orders carried through.
Thanks to that cowardice, it made it easier for Chevalier to find and dispose of them.
Chevalier stabs the commander in the shoulder again, and then in the legs, and the commander screams. This is the first time that Emma ever saw Chevalier purposefully torture someone. Heâs angry, very angry.
Chevalier explains that he has just sacrificed 1,000 people to kill him, one of the army commanders. But what is the point in just killing him?
Chevalier throws the commander into a nearby tent, grabs a torch, and sets the tent on fire. The commander starts screaming, and Emma realizes that some of the wounds Chevalier inflicted on him made him unable to use his legs.
Emma realizes that Chevalier always knew what would happen when he allowed those hostages to die, and used their sacrifice to kill one of the enemy generals. With the gift of hindsight, Emma knows that this was instrumental to him saving Rhodolite.
Chevalier, framed by the blazing tent fire, looked calm, but Emma knew that his insides were boiling with rage. She can feel the palpable anger at the loss of all those people and knows that this decision will nearly bring about a civil war in the future. Everyone said Chevalier was a merciless beast that left those people to die, but the truth is that Chevalier didnât want them to die in the first place. He had just decided to shoulder the burden of all those deaths in exchange for a future for Rhodolite.
Eventually the sound of the commanderâs screams stops, and Chevalier sheathes his sword, checking the flames. Satisfied, he turns to leave, passing by Emma who is still hiding in the shadows. She struggles to chase after him.
Chevalier abruptly stops and asks how long she intends to follow him. Emma assures him that she wonât bother him, and to please allow her to stay near.
For the first time, Chevalier turns to face her. He is caked with dirt, sweat, and blood, but somehow remains noble and pure. He notes that there are few women who can see all of this and remain normal. But Emma has barely started crying. Sheâs not a soldier, but she seems used to the battlefield.
No, thatâs not right.
Emma is used to Chevalier.
Who is she?
Chevalier roughly grabs her and her wedding ring shines faintly in the moonlight. Chevalier has figured out that Emma is in love with him, but why?
With Chevalier looking down at her, stinking of blood instead of roses, Emma looks into his eyes and asks how he knew.
Chevalier can tell from her courage, as well as her attitude. Besides, she seems to already know the outcome of the war. This is insane and impossible, but she doesnât seem from this time.
Even ten years ago, Chevalier was able to deduct accurate conclusions from a small amount of information. Leaving him only with the question of why she loves him.
Emma looks into the eyes of this blood-soaked beast, and though her hand is trembling, she refuses to look away. She wouldnât be the person she is if she could look away from Chevalier like this.
She admits that there are many reasons why she loves him, but the most important is that he is capable of more love than anyone else.
Chevalier asks if sheâs serious.
Emma tells him that she knows he will shoulder the burden of those 1,000 people lost, as well as everyone else who sacrificed themselves in this war. No matter who hate him, he will do what it takes to save as many people as possible. She loves his strong will and sense of responsibility, and the fact that he is human.
Like anyone else, Chevalier feels sadness and anger, proving that heâs not some beast but a human. No matter what, Emma wants to stand next to and support him.
The wind blows, stinking of ash and blood. Emma still feels numb from the scene sheâs just seen, but she pushes forward. Chevalier isnât cruel and heartless, it is this war that makes him seem so. She wants to do everything possible to stop another tragedy like this from repeating.
Emma is still inexperienced and knows too little things, but it is important that she was able to see the Blood-Stained Rose Day up close like this.
She tells Chevalier that she is his fiancé, and she will never let him turn himself into a beast.
After a long moment of silence, Chevalier releases her hand. He knows nothing about her, but if she thinks all that is true, he is interested to see how far she goes.
Chevalier snorts turns, and walks away.
Emma thinks that sheâs been chasing his back for a long time now. Now, in the future, she will always chase after him.
When Emma wakes up in the present, the dream lingers and she tells Chevalier about it. He pauses his work, considering it. It is a very strange dream.
Chevalier never told anyone about attacking the commander, and there are no records about it that anyone could have read. He also has no memory of anyone following him to the enemy camp.
Chevalier muses that if it was more than a dream, or just a dream, either way it doesnât sound pleasant for her. Emma agrees, but she thinks it worthwhile to have occurred.
Awkwardly, Chevalier reaches out and caresses her cheek. Emma thinks he looks a little paler than usual. She feels the warmth of his hand, the warmth of a human. This same hand has been stained with blood so often that Chevalier fears he might be a beast. Even she, who knows him the best, cannot always suppress her fear.
Even though his hand is so gentle with her.
Ten years ago, after their commander was slain, the Obsidian troops lost their morale and withdrew from the villages they had occupied, and the war had been won by Rhodolite. The Emperor had never before been defeated in battle, and the withdraw was unexpectedly thorough.
Rhodolite had lost a lot to this war, but the fact that a small country was able to drive off Obsidian was significant on the global scale. Until that battle, Rhodolite was considered a weak small country, ignored on the global political scale. But, thanks to that victory, Rhodolite is heralded as a beacon of hope to all countries threatened by Obsidian.
Thanks to the sacrifice of all those who died on the battlefield.
Emma agrees that they are where they are today only because of everyone working so hard to protect the country. But the war shouldnât have happened to begin with. No matter what they say about Rhodolite becoming prominent in victory, Emma cannot bring herself to glorify war.
Chevalier agrees with her sentiment.
Emma doesnât want to lament her helplessness to stop anything, and she wants to work with Chevalier to build a world where no one needs to become a beast to win a war. She doesnât want blood to get on Chevalierâs hands ever again.
Chevalier is interested to see how far she will go.
Emma remarks that dream-Chevalier said the same thing to her in the end. Chevalier muses that he must not have changed from who he was back then.
Chevalier pulls Emmaâs hand close to him and kisses her fingertips, as if he was swearing a sacred oath. He has no intention of staining her hands with blood either.
Chevalier is someone who will wage a war if he thinks it is necessary. Currently, heâs thinking positively and continues to be a human. As long as the love between them exists, Emma is sure Chevalier will retain his humanity.
She looks at him, at his smile, and thinks about how warm it is.

Make Me Feel Alive Episode 3
Gilbert von Obsidian's Birthday Story
This is simply a fan translation and is not intended as a replacement for the game. Expect grammatical errors.
On Gilbert's birthday, there was an unusual tension hanging around the castle.
(Is his birthday really taboo?)
(No one talks about it, and no one's preparing a celebration.)
As I whisked the cream into the bowl, I couldn't help but think about it.
(I always thought it was normal to celebrate birthdays.)
(But I guess not for him.)
------------Flashback-----------
Gilbert: "Will you also celebrate my birthday at the risk of your life?"
Emma: "........"
Gilbert: "Even if it's you, I might still find it unpleasant."
---------Flashback Ends--------
(He really meant those words.)
(If my expectations are wrong, things could get really messy.)
My heart raced so rapidly that it seemed like it might burst out at any moment. Even my hand holding the bowl was trembling.
(No, I need to be more confident.)
(I'm his fiancée, so I gotta keep it together.)
Taking a deep breath to dispel the anxiety and tension, I unconsciously resumed what I was doing.
Emma: "I wonder if he'll be happy."
???: "Mhm, it's really delicious."
Emma: "!?"
I turned around and saw Gilbert already devouring the sponge cake.
(What the hell? When did he get here!?)
Gilbert: "Come on, don't stop. If you don't keep your hands moving, I'm gonna eat everything."
Emma: âWait, please donât eat it!â
(The cake will be gone before itâs finished!)
Hastily taking the sponge cake from him, his refined face twisted into an unhappy expression.
Gilbert: âDo you really have to do that?â
Emma: âIf I run out of sponge, I wonât be able to make the cake.â
Gilbert: âIt was delicious as it is.â
Emma: âEven if itâs delicious, it wonât be enough!â
Gilbert: âEhh? I prefer quantity over quality.â
Emma: âIâll bake a lot of cookies later, so can you please let this slide?â
Emma: âI really want to prioritize the quality of the cake. I want to make this birthday cake special.â
Gilbert: âHmm. Youâre really brave.â
He brought a chair over and sat down, looking up at me intensely.
Emma: âThis is just my speculation, but I donât think you donât want your birthday to be celebrated.â
(Since heâs the one who told me about his birthday.)
Emma: âItâs just that you hated lies.â
Emma: âOn a special and important day, you couldnât tolerate it being tainted with corruption and deception.â
Emma: âI thought maybe thatâs the case.â
(His mother and older brother were kind to him in the past.)
(Those two surely celebrated his birthday when he was young.)
(But that day will never come again.)
(The only people left around him were the corrupted aristocrats.)
Gilbert: "Fufu. As expected, you really love me."
Gilbert rested his hand on his chin and laughed briskly.
Well, he was right.
Gilbert: "Will you really celebrate my birthday wholeheartedly?"
Emma: "Of course."
Gilbert: "I've killed many people before, and I might kill many more in the future."
Gilbert: "Would you still celebrate it and support me if I continue executing those who wish me a happy birthday?"
Emma: "........."
I felt like he was testing my determination.
(Birthday celebrations are a way to say thank you for being born.)
(It's also a day to hope that you will continue to live.)
Celebrating the birthday of a notorious villain who shook the entire continent is not something one can do half-heartedly, and those who celebrate might, in a way, bear a certain burden of guilt.
Emma: "Yes."
(Even though he might be an irredeemable villain, I want him to find redemption.)
(Despite his numbness to human feelings, I believe he has the most beautiful heart in the world.)
Emma: "Even if you've turned the whole world against you, I'll still celebrate."
Emma: "I'm already a pretty bad woman just by being here, so it's too late now."
Emma: "Please don't underestimate my feelings for you."
(It's his birthday, yet it's hard to even genuinely celebrate.)
(This is the price he has to pay for his position and for seizing control of the evil empire.)
(Celebrating a birthday with such determination to the point of risking one's life is a first for me.)
Gilbert: "Fufu, sorry. I might have teased you too much."
(Huh?)
He stood up from his chair and reached out to touch my eyes.
His cold fingertips scooped up a single drop of tears that even I hadn't noticed.
(I hate this. I didn't mean for it to be like this.)
(However, I can't help but wonder how many years he has suppressed his birthday to protect his memories from being tainted.)
I forcefully wiped my tears and peered into his red eyes.
He was smiling as usual, but I was surprised to see a noticeable wavering that made my heart ache.
(No, these tears aren't mine.)
(He's the one who really wants to cry.)
(I wonder what he has been thinking about every time his birthday comes around.)
(I'm sure he was lonely at first, but then he probably forgot how lonely he was and didn't feel anything anymore.)
(But now he remembered the loneliness. Is that why he told me about his birthday?)
With an overwhelming impulse, I reached for his cold cheek and lightly kissed it.
Gilbert: "What is it?"
Emma: "I can't give you the cake right away, so here's an alternative gift."
Gilbert: "It's rather shabby for a present."
Emma: "Then, how about this?"
I placed the bowl on the table and wrapped my arms around his neck.
Then I kissed him deeper than before, and he bit me hard on the lip.
(Ouch!)
Thankfully, there was no blood, but the bitten spot throbbed as he licked it with his tongue.
With this, he took control, overpowering the initiative I had held.
His cold fingers pried open my lips and gently devoured my tongue.
Feeling weak, I leaned against the worktable, and he lifted the hem of the black dress he gave me, forcibly inserting his fingers into my inner thigh.
Emma: "Gil, it hurts."
Gilbert: "Yeah, I'm doing it on purpose."
Emma: "Why?"
Gilbert: "Because you don't like pain."
(You're really saying that?)
The pain quickly turned into another sensation as his fingers worked inside me.
It was like a mark of affection that Gilbert used to engrave on my body every night.
(That's why I can't hate it.)
Gilbert: "See, you're already enjoying it."
Gilbert: "By the way, this is the kitchen. Aren't you going to stop me?"
With a squelching sound, his cold fingers increased to two.
Just before my mind was about to go completely blank, he stopped, and I unconsciously let out a sigh.
Emma: "Just for today."
Emma: "No matter what you do, I'll endure it if that's what you want."
Gilbert: "Because it's my birthday?"
I nodded and wrapped my arms around his head, pulling him close to my chest.
Emma: "I won't lie to you."
Emma: "So until you feel at ease, feel free to continue as much as you want."
Emma: "I want you to know that I genuinely want to celebrate your birthday."
Emma: "I'll keep telling you until you believe it, no matter how much it hurts."
Gilbert: ".........."
Gilbert: "What? So you already figured it out?"
(As expected, there's always a reason behind his threats.)
Emma: "You're probably much easier to understand than you think."
Gilbert: "I think those are words only someone who faces me head-on can say."
Gilbert: "It's really a pity to be liked by a troublesome man like me."
He suddenly laughed and bit my neck.
(Erasing all the suspicions built up over the years might be difficult, but if I can convey that he won't be lonely on his birthday, that alone would be enough.)
While enduring all the pain and pleasure he gave me, I somehow managed to finish the cake.
After celebrating together, we naturally embraced each other's bodies.
After being thoroughly teased during the day, my body immediately welcomed Gilbert, and all that remained after we reached the climax was the sound of our heartbeats.
Gilbert: "Fufu. Your heart is still pounding."
Emma: "I can hear the sound of your heartbeat too."
Wrapped in each other's arms with nothing between us, the sound of our heartbeats resonated.
(His heartbeat is proof that he's alive.)
(I want to feel this every time I celebrate his birthday.)
When I put my arms around his back, he slightly furrowed his eyebrows.
(There are scratches on his skin.)
Emma: "Sorry. It's probably because of me."
Gilbert: "It's fine. I like it when you hurt me."
Gilbert: "It would've been nice if you left not only scratches but bite marks as well."
His fingers traced along my arm, where the bite marks were.
(Not just the arms. I feel like I was bitten all over today.)
Emma: "It's difficult because I don't know how to control my strength like you do."
Gilbert: "Then let's learn together. Shall we master it by my next birthday?"
Emma: "You'll celebrate with me again next year?"
Gilbert: "Who knows? Whether it will be the last or the first is up to you."
Gilbert: "If you love me a lot, I might change my mind."
Emma: "........"
Gilbert: "But your celebration this year wasn't unpleasant."
Gilbert: "Thank you."
Emma: â.........â
(Iâm gonna tear up.)
(I might start crying again if I let my guard down.)
He smiled and gently stroked my hair. His expression was more readable than usual, possibly because the eye patch was off.
Emma: âThen, how about inviting Roderich and Walter to the party next time?â
Emma: âIâm sure both of them really want to celebrate your birthday.â
Gilbert: âThatâs not happening.â
(Not happening, huh?)
Gilbert: âI donât need other peopleâs celebrations. As long as I have yours, that would be enough for me.â
Gilbert: âBecause I only love you.â
Emma: âIâll shower you with lots of love, so please let me celebrate next year, too.â
Gilbert: âFufu, got it. As long as youâre you, Iâll let you celebrate.â
Gilbert: âContinue loving this beast with your pure heart, okay?â

âClavis-! Ungh!â Your hips buck in your loverâs grip, his tongue licking at your sensitive bundle of nerves as his fingers delve knuckle deep inside of you.Â
You thrash on the sunbed that Clavis had conveniently laid in the middle of the rose garden, your legs propped up on his shoulders as your lover holds you in place with your thighs spread out for him, like a butterfly pinned to a wall.Â
Your head swims, both from the pleasure of his teeth playfully nipping at your clit and the sweet scent of blooming roses that fills the air. But even so, you donât miss the dark clouds above you that threaten to unleash their unforgiving tides any moment now.Â
A part of you wants to warn him, to bring the both of you back inside and to safety. But it feels so good and you ache for so much moreâŠÂ
âWe should-! Maybe we should go back inside?â Still rationality wins. You prop yourself up on your elbows, heat rushing to your cheeks as your eyes meet dark pools of molten amber. Clavisâs eyes shadowed with a desire that pierces you to the core. And suddenly you forget how to speak, throat dry as warmth tugs at your centre, aching for more of him.Â
His eyes fleet to the sky above, heavy with unshed tears. Part of him wants to flee, screams at him to leave before it is too late and the rain comes to carry the memories he dreads.Â
But a bigger part of him doesnât want to. Doesnât want to move and doesnât want to run away. And he canât remember the moment he became so courageous, so daring. So free.Â
His lips curve in a mischievous smile, one that has a shiver running up your spine in apprehension. He knows that one more flick of his tongue is all it would take for you to unravel underneath him. It would be such a shame to stop now.Â
âDear, it is awfully rude to interrupt someone when they are feasting.â He says, two digits curling inside of you to tease at your sweetest spot. âAnd you are so close too, arenât you?âÂ
A muffled whimper slips past your lips, drowning out his worries, every muscle tense as the knot in the pit of your stomach tightens with flammable heat.Â
âDo you want me to stop still?â He queries, ever the gentleman, ever one to put your needs above his own. But he knows the answer already, and you hate how he knows you so well, how he knows every inch of you like the back of his own hand and uses it to his advantage.Â
Your brows furrow under the weight of pleasure, thighs quivering around his head as his digits swirl inside of you, collecting your sweet honey and scooping it up to his lips. He sucks on them, holding your gaze as he waits for your reply.Â
Your dripping hole clenches around painful nothing, a whine falling from your lips before you can hold it back. And you donât care about the weather anymore, any reasonable thoughts thrown out the window as you reach out for his face and guide him back between your thighs.Â
He smiles against your folds, a flurry of moans gracing his ears as his fingers thrust in and out of you at a steady pace, tongue lapping at your dripping arousal like he has never tasted heaven. Encouraged by your cries of his name and the sweet pain that spreads over his scalp as you tug on his hair.Â
And here it comes, Clavisâs favourite moment, the moment your back arches off the mattress as control flies from your grasp and your hips freely ride his features, in rhythm with the waves of pleasure that rise inside of you, higher and higher until youâre drowning.Â
âClavis-!â Your last call of his name as you crash back down, falling back onto the plush mattress of the sunbed. Panting as delicious shivers course through your blood. The remnants of your release slowly ebbing away until nothing remains but a wish for more.Â
Clavis gazes down at you, lustful eyes softening with tender affection as your eyes flutter open. He licks his fingers, letting your sweet juices coat his tongue. He leans down over you, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.Â
Oh how he loves youâŠ
âNow, would my lovely lover like to go back inside?â He whispers against your lips, the same mischievous smile on his lips, edges smoothed over by the love in his voice. And you want to drown in his arms, to lose yourself in his gaze and crash over his lips to see whether they taste the same as his breath, minty and sweet.Â
You donât notice the first drop of rain that falls on your forehead, cold, but it sizzles over your heated skin. The fire pooling inside of you enough to keep the both of you warm.Â
Your arms wrap around his neck, bringing him closer. And if Clavis notices the rain, he does not show any sign of stopping you.Â
In fact he doesnât waste a second, quick to tear at the fabric of your clothes and reveal your bare skin to him, hands and mouth everywhere as he rediscovers every inch of you with his hands and mouth. Eager to map out your curves and commit them to memory over and over again.Â
Your hands fumble at his belts, shaky fingers unbuckling and unzipping his trousers as his mouth falls to your hardened nipple and teases it with his tongue. Lips curving in a seductive grin as he tears a high pitched moan from you.Â
A part of him marvels at the effect you have on him, at how bearable you make the unbearable. At how easily you turn his world upside down and heal his wounds from the inside by your mere presence and touch.Â
The scent of rain drenched roses. Where Clavisâs gut usually twisted with nausea and where his mind flooded with memories of blood soaked petals, his insides now flare with desire and the urgent need to lose himself in the warmth of your skin against his.Â
You worked magic on him, every day without even realizing it. And right now instead of cowering and running away he feels an urge to thank you in all the ways possible. To worship the power you have over him and celebrate the new man heâs become.Â
A man less afraid, less reckless and more alive than ever.Â
And as he sheathes his length inside of your warmth, Clavis takes his first breath out of the sea of his past. The rain soaking through his clothes washing him off all he ever knew.Â
âUngh-! Cla-Clavis!â Your cries fade in the concert of powerful tides that pour from the sky, still your voice remains the only thing he hears as his hips meet yours in rolling thrusts.Â
Until nothing remains but your two shattered forms as you unfold in his embrace and his own release courses through him to fill you with warmth.Â
Your arms, his own shelter from the rain.

âOh, dearie me. Do my eyes deceive me or is that Belle I see?â
âWhy are you acting so surprised, Clavis?âÂ
âWell, I simply canât recall the last time you joined us for breakfast. Youâre always in the library with your book club.â
âItâs not a book club. Weâre just friends.â
Clavis rose from his chair and approached you, a sly smile adorning his face; with his thumb, he tilted your chin until your eyes met.
"Friends, you say. Have you not seen the way my brother looks at you? Clearly, you haven't." He paused and chuckled, his tone turning serious. "He looks at you in a way he doesn't look at anyone else. Not even me, his most handsome brother. Chev is a man who can glance at something once and have it memorized, never needing to look at it again. Yet, I so often find him, a man who does nothing not worth his time, staring at you. If you donât believe me, watch him the next time you're together and let me know if you still think you're just his friend."
He removed his hand from your chin, leaving you wide-eyed in disbelief, your heart racing at the thought that Chevalier might have feelings for you.
*****
Breakfast passed in a blur, and before you knew it, you were standing before a familiar set of doors. With your heart pounding in your chest, you pushed open the door and stepped over the threshold.
Thereâs nothing to be nervous about, you tried to convince yourself as you entered the room. As usual, Chevalier was seated in his chair, his ankle crossed over his knee, his face tilted down as he read the book in his hands.Â
âHello,â he greeted you as his gaze lifted to meet yours, his lips curling into a soft smile. You noticed how his gaze lingered as butterflies began to flutter in your stomach.
âI received some new books today.â He tipped his chin towards a nearby shelf, its contents calling to you.
You were walking on clouds as you made your way to the bookshelf. Filled with childlike joy, you beamed as you ran a finger along the leather spines of the books, trying to decide which one to pick first.Â
But then a voice inside you told you to turn around.Â
Chevalier sat with his chin in his hand, a barely there smile soft on his lips, his pale blue eyes fixed on you.Â
Donât smile at me like that, you told yourself. Iâll have trouble not believing what Clavis said earlier otherwise.
âI donât know which one to pick.â
He rose from his chair with an elegant grace that comes from being born royal and approached you by the bookshelf. He quickly scanned the shelf and effortlessly selected a book.Â
You trembled as he handed you the book, his warm gaze returning to you, his soft smile still visible.
Whether Chevalier knew it or not, Clavis was right.

Clavis Lelouch - Rhodolite Horror Night - Event Summary
If you trust me to know what I'm doing, then we have both made a huge mistake. I cannot guarantee accuracy for this summary, or even grammatical correctness.

Prologue (Shared between the three suitors)
This story takes place before anyone is successfully romanced. Due to various reasons, Gilbert is staying in Rhodolite despite being the prince of an enemy country.
One thunderous midsummer night, a small group gathered in a chapel deep in the forest beyond the castle. This group is full of people known to have various incidents around them.
Clavis greets Emma as she enters the chapel, and Gilbert thanks Luke for guiding her. Luke ignores them and asks after Emma; he didnât expect the sudden downpour during their journey here. Emma assures Luke that she is perfectly all right and thanks him for lending her his coat. Since she is in front of Gilbert, Emma is careful to respond like a noble lady.Â
Returning the coat to Luke, Emma surveys her surroundings. Before her are the number one trap master of the Rhodolite court, and the calamity that will end the world. Rather than a solemn atmosphere, this chapel seems sinister and foreboding. Emma asks if she can go home yet.
What? Go home? Clavis tells Emma that nothing exciting has even happened yet, thereâs no point in leaving early. Besides, Gilbert adds, does Emma really think sheâll return safely if she leaves now?
Emma frowns at Gilbert. He laughs and says that heâs not threatening her or anything. But look outside. Itâs raining very hard, and the environment itself is dangerous.
Moving along, Emma reminds them that they had a job for her and asks what it is. Clavis asks her what sort of summer activities are common in this part of the world.
Stargazing?
Clavis nods, she's right, itâs time for a test of courage!
Emma asks if she can go home now. Gilbert wags his finger at her and tells her ânoâ.
Luke asks if theyâre a bit old to be playing childrenâs games like courage tests. Clavis disagrees, you can have fun at all ages.
Emma and Luke refuse.
Gilbert thinks this sounds marvelous and asks Clavis to speak more about this challenge. Emma almost groans at the realization that Clavis and Gilbert are colluding.
Clavis explains that there is a mysterious, ghostly phenomenon all over the Rhodolite castle. There are rumors of a mysterious performance coming from the dance hall, even though itâs empty. Thereâs a cursed painting sealed in the depths of the palace treasury, and finally, there is a ghostly tower that only opens at midnight.
Theyâll split up into groups of two and tackle two of the mysteries. If they can unravel the mystery to everyoneâs satisfaction, then their test will be finished.
Luke is not motivated at all to help and complains. Clavis leans over to whisper something into Lukeâs ear, and Lukeâs expression changes. Thereâs no help for it, heâll help out just this once.
Emma wonders if Clavis offered Luke a honey bribe.
Since Emma is the only woman in the group, Clavis generously offers to let her pick her partner. All three of them hold out their hands to her.
Clavis reminds Emma that he is the most fun of all the suitors.
Gilbert reminds Emma that her job is to entertain the visiting dignitaries.
Luke reminds Emma that heâs the sane one of this group.
Clavis Route
At the start of this surprise test of courage, Emma reached out and grabbed Clavisâ hand, partnering up with him. Â When the rain let up a little, they returned to the castle, Clavis in a surprisingly good mood. Thereâs a bounce to his steps as if heâs moments away from humming. Emma asks if her choosing him really put him in such a great mood.
Clavis tells Emma that she just proved that no matter what she says, she really loves him. Out of all the possibilities, he was her first choice.
Emma corrects him; she was just preventing him from teaming up with Gilbert. And sheâs less afraid of Clavis than she is of Gilbert, so the choice was obvious. Clavisâ mood plummets at this, and Emma wishes that she could tell him the truth.
Ever since Emma came to the castle as the incognito âBelleâ, Clavis was by her side and always took care of her. It's not easy being with him, but it was very fun. In spite of everything, she enjoyed the time she spent with Clavis. This is why she chose him without hesitation, but she would die of embarrassment if she were to admit it.
Emma changes the subject; their assignment was to investigate the painting of a lady which was sealed deep into the castleâs royal treasury. At this, Clavisâ mood shifts again, and he has a shady smile. Emma asks about the painting.
Clavis has never seen the painting himself, but there have been rumors among the servants about it for quite some time now. The lady in the painting is supposed to be so lifelike, servants have sworn that she moves in it. Emma wonders if this is some sort of optical illusion, adjusting the lights and preconceptions.Â
Clavis disagrees, many servants at different times have made similar reports. Itâs to the point that the painting has been moved to the back of the treasury, with servants reporting that the painting is cursed.
Emma asks him to clarify, by âcurseâ does he mean that people who view the painting will be hit by some sort of misfortune? When Clavis is eerily silent, Emma prompts him to respond. Clavis tells her that there are things in this world that if she would be far happier not knowing about as opposed to knowing.
Emma asks if after saying that, theyâre still going to go look at the painting.
They are.
Clavis asks if Emma is frightened yet and offers to hold her hand. After all, heâs not just handsome, heâs also a proper gentleman.
Looking into his eyes, Emma can see the way theyâre shining with excitement. She looks at the hand and looks back into Clavisâ eyes. Between the cursed painting and Clavis, heâs far more frightening, so sheâll refuse.
Clavis tells her that truthfully, heâs afraid and wants to hold hands with her. Emma calls him out on the lie his expression is âjoyâ not âfearâ. Clavis is impressed, Emma has been observing him closely. As closely as a lover would. Ahh, that explains earlier; she loves him so much that sheâs embarrassed to admit it.
Emma grumbles that sheâs not embarrassed at all.
Thatâs fine; if Emma isnât embarrassed, she should be happy to hold hands with him!
Emma gives in; though from Clavisâ strong grip, she wonders if sheâll ever get her hand back. Holding hands together, they enter the royal treasury.
As expected in a country famous for its arts and culture, the treasury was full of priceless national treasures. Emma thinks that if anything is ruined during this trip, she would never be able to compensate for it. Just being in the treasury makes her nervous.
Still holding her hand, Clavis looks unconcerned and relaxed. He idly looks around the treasury, wondering which of the priceless paintings on display is the cursed one. Emma asks if he thinks searching will be difficult if theyâre still holding hands, but Clavis disagrees. They both have one hand free, so finding the painting should be easy. Emma gives up on ever letting go of Clavisâ hand.
In the end, Emma found the painting. It was at the back of the treasury, covered in black cloth with the words âDo Not Openâ âDangerâ and âCursedâ written on signs before it. Clavis praises Emmaâs genius for finding it, and Emma points out that it sticks out.
She holds Clavisâ hand just a bit harder as he reaches out and removes the cloth.
As promised, the paintingâs subject was a woman. She had a simple but beautiful dress that Emma couldnât help but stare at. For some reason, there was a knightâs insignia on her chest. The ladyâs skin was so white it almost looked translucent, to the point of sickness. She looks like she was painted in the royal courtâs rose garden and had a melancholic smile on her face. Looking at the painting, Emma starts to feel sad for some reason.
Emma calls out to Clavis to ask a question but finds him entranced and unresponsive. She shouts his name, but he continues to stare at the painting, unblinking. Growing desperate, Emma reaches out and pinches his cheek as hard as she can.
Clavis yelps at the pain and complains; if she wanted to get his attention, she should have kissed him, not pinched him. Emma maneuvers them so that heâs no longer facing the painting, and is facing her instead, and asks him what he can see, hoping the painting hasnât hypnotized him.
Clavis tells her that he is looking at a lovely, healthy, and pretty woman. Emmaâs heart sinks at this, he canât see her at all. Clavis corrects her, he can only see her. Emma looks at him worriedly, but the feeling he gave off while looking at the painting is gone. In his eyes, Emma can see her reflection, though it seems to waver for some reason. Still, itâs the normal Clavis in front of her, and Emma feels herself relax a little. She lets go of the sweaty handhold she has on Clavis.
She would never have guessed that the rumors about the curse on the painting were real, but it didnât affect her. She turns around to look at the painting again and meets the eyes of the lady. Like she originally thought, the painting never moved, and she becomes entranced in the sheer craftsmanship and lifelike image. She wonders if it's one of those paintings that seem to move depending on the angle you view it at.
She can hear Clavis call out to her, but she is too focused on the painting to respond. She thinks that the candlelight might also affect the way the painting is viewed.
Suddenly her view is completely blocked by Clavis, who shouts her name. He asks if she can see him, as a gentleman itâs his duty to rescue her if a ghost has taken her. His face is so close to hers as he peers into her eyes, and Emma flushes, jerking back. Her movements are uncoordinated, and she winds up headbutting Clavis by accident. Clavis whines about her hurting him, and Emma replies that itâs his fault for doing something weird in the first place.
(New rule, only one person is allowed to get possessed at a time)
Emma realizes that instead of pinching her, Clavis had been going in for a kiss. If she hadnât jumped at the last minute, he would have succeeded too. She takes a step back from Clavis and assures him that she wasnât entranced by ghosts, she was just thinking about the painting.
Well, theyâve found the rumored cursed painting, whatâs next?
Clavis explains that the next step is to figure out the truth behind the phenomenon. To start with, they should investigate everything about the painting. Then, as if the painting was neither priceless nor cursed, Clavis takes the painting off the wall to examine its back. Â He reports that it is 150 years old, and the original property of Lady Vivienne Michel.
Both Emma and Clavis immediately recognize the family name; apparently, Chevalierâs maternal family is somehow involved. Emma asks if Clavis is familiar with Chevalierâs ancestors, but unfortunately, he is not. And, given his options, Clavis would rather look through the archives in the library than ask Chevalier directly.
While Emma internally grumbles about Clavisâ and Chevalierâs terrible relationship, she acknowledges that Chevalier wouldnât tell her if she asked him, giving her no choice but to join Clavis in the library.
Clavis hangs the painting back on the wall, and hand in hand, he and Emma go to the library. After a while, despite all the books sheâs examined, Emma has no leads on Chevalierâs family history. Across the table, Clavis has also been searching through the books, at a speed Emma found impressive. For every book she reads, Clavis reads five. She was aware that he was a talented and capable prince, but this is just further proof. It was actually really cool.
A roar of thunder and lighting interrupts her moment, and Emma cant help but give a little jump at the unexpected noise. Clavis noticed and asks if Emma is afraid. She assures him that sheâs fine with thunder, but Clavis assures her that if sheâs frightened, sheâs welcome to sit next to him.
Emma changes the subject, asking if the Michel family line even goes back 150 years. Clavis accepts this subject change and switches into a lecture mode. The Michel family goes all the way back to the founding of the country. Originally, Rhodolite was founded by knights, and the Michel family line is a direct descendant of a founding knight, known for producing many of the countryâs famous knights.
Thatâs where the name âChevalierâ came from; even though he is a prince, he comes from a famous knight family.
Emma admits that she has been curious about that, and Clavisâ evil smile deepens. He asks how long sheâs been thinking about Chevalier, and for some reason, Emma feels like sheâs in danger.
Sweet End
Emma has the feeling that Clavisâ smile is way more dangerous than the cursed painting. For some reason, Clavis stands up and moves to her side of the table, sitting next to her. He brings her back to the original topic. Emma complains about him sitting so close, but Clavis points out that itâs far easier to talk when theyâre closer like this.
(This is not Chevalier's route, damnit!)
In the Michel family, there was a famous knight known as the âRose Knightâ, who legend has built up to be the strongest knight in Rhodoliteâs history. At any battle he was in, he would be on the front lines and would lead Rhodolite to victory. Even if the opposing force had an overwhelming difference in numbers, the Rose Knightâs excellent tactics would lead Rhodolite to victory. Thereâs even an anecdote about the Rose Knight riding into enemy territory alone and destroying everything.
Emma notes that this sounds just like Chevalier, but Clavisâ smile grows even worse. He asks if she loves Chevalier that much, and Emma asks what love or hate has to do with Chevalier. Clavis points out that she is constantly talking about him, but Emma reminds Clavis that they are actively talking about Chevalierâs ancestor. The connection that Clavis just told her about.
The feeling around Clavis grows darker.
Moving along, Emma asks what the Rose Knight has to do with the painting. Clavis explains that the lady in the painting might have been the Rose Knightâs wife. He reminds Emma about the knightâs insignia on her chest and picks up a discarded book from his side of the table, showing it to Emma. Itâs a tiger crest, different from the one Chevalier uses.
The crest is the one depicted in the painting and is associated with the Rose Knight. According to the records, the Rose Knight had a sickly wife, and if Emma recalls, the lady in the painting was very pale, enough to look sickly.
Emma blinks as the facts sink in, and she realizes that Clavis is right. She praises him, and only then realizes how close Clavisâ face is. From the short distance between them, Clavis, who is always attractive, is nigh bewitching.
Just as Emma is about to jump away, Clavis wraps an arm around her waist, trapping her. They have to figure out what to do next. Emma asks Clavis to let her go, but the so-called âgentlemanâ only smiles shadily and tells her not to be shy, heâs not finished. there is a tragic ending to the Rose Knight.
The Rose Knightâs wife was very sickly and was left behind every time he left for battle. Before he would leave, the Rose Knight and his wife would spend a lot of time together to ensure they were able to say âgoodbyeâ properly. But one day, an enemy suddenly invaded Rhodolite, and the Rose Knight was summoned without an opportunity to say goodbye to his wife. When the fighting was over and the Rose Knight returned home, he arrived at the funeral for his wife. This was a blow to the Rose Knight, who grieved for his wife. After the funeral, he disappeared, no longer having a reason to fight.
As Emma holds back tears, Clavis redirects her attention. Now that they know the story behind it, they have to face the curse of the painting. Surely, she noticed how sad she felt looking at the lady, if they can find a way to solve that sorrow, they can bring peace to the painting and end the curse. He asks Emma if she has any ideas of what to do.
Emma has a list of choices, one of which is to throw a drinking party with the painting. Upon that suggestion, Clavisâ face grows pale, and he shoots her down.
Emma doesnât want to give up, when thereâs a problem like this, people throw a banquet, and that cheers up the other party. Clavis grumbles that Emma has a surprising alcoholic side to her. Emma is confused, sheâs not that heavy of a drinker.
Emma pushes on, the lady in the painting is doubtlessly worried about the Rose Knight, as she died before knowing if he survived the battle. But thatâs all in the past, and thereâs nothing they can do about it, so why not get drunk and wash down all their problems?
Clavis asks if she really thinks that ghosts can drink, but Emma is determined to at least try it out. Sheâs surprised, she never would have thought that Clavis would be this resistant to drinking alcohol. Sheâs about to ask him about it when Clavis interrupts her. He understands the situation and will cooperate with her, but in exchange, he gets to prepare the drinks. Emma nods in assent, and with a bitter expression, Clavis leaves to prepare the drinks.
Upon their return to the royal treasury, Emma notices Clavisâ drink and asks if he seriously brought juice to a drinking party. Clavis insists that itâs wine, and when Emma tells him that she is 100% sure that it is genuine grape juice, Clavis more forcefully insists that itâs wine.
Well, her mental image of âdelinquentâ Clavis is now ruined.
After they start drinking, Clavis asks Emma how the lady in the painting is doing. Emma looks at her and thinks that the lady is smiling. Even though the expression seems different, Emma is not at all afraid and tells Clavis that the lady appears to be happy. Clavis grumbles that the lady is probably making fun of them for drinking grape juice.
Well, now that theyâve solved the lady in the painting curse, their test of courage is over. They leave the treasury and Emma stretches, wondering what Gilbert and Luke have gotten up to.
Suddenly Clavis stops and an incomprehensible expression spreads across his face. He asks Emma if she really thinks everything is over now. At Emmaâs confused expression, Clavis laughs, noting that she hasnât understood anything. Suddenly, his expression is far scarier than any ghost they might have encountered.
Clavis asks her why she thinks he was at that chapel in the first place. Does she really think that the test of courage was the point of the night?
Emma recalls the scene that she had walked into when she entered the chapel. The World Calamity and the Trap Master of Rhodolite had been colluding before she and Luke interrupted them. Had they been plotting something unthinkable when she and Luke had interrupted them?
Emma asks if this is some kind of joke.
Clavis laughs evilly and tells her not to be so scared, he hasnât done anything to her . . .yet. Emmaâs heartbeat pounds in her chest as Clavis steps closer to her. Emma backs up until sheâs against the wall.
Very gently, Clavis takes her hand and kisses the fingertips. Emma canât find any words to respond.
Suddenly the atmosphere between them vanishes as Clavis laughs kindly, asking if Emma found this exciting. She complains that heâs horrible, and Clavis laughs, with that reaction, it was worth the effort.
Yep, Clavis really is the worst.
Before Emma can complain more, Clavis turns her hand and kisses her wrist. Emma shakes him off her hand and tells him to stop. Clavis lets her go, still smiling at her.
Emmaâs heart is still pounding, but itâs hard to tell if itâs because she was just afraid, or because she felt something when Clavis kissed her hand so gently. Looking into Clavisâ eyes does nothing to calm her. Clavisâ face lowers towards her slowly.
Bam! The sound of their foreheads slamming together brings Emmaâs thoughts to focus. Clavis complains about her headbutting him again. Emma tells him that the test of courage is over, they can leave and go to sleep now.
Emma grumbles about all the times Clavis got close and suggestive during this test of courage. It took until now for her to realize his true intentions, and now that she understands, she doesnât want to stay any longer.
She thinks she can hear Clavis calling out to her from behind, but she doesnât stop.
Premium End
Clavis had planned this out days earlier.
*Flashback Time*
Clavis was walking down the castle hallway carrying the daily reports from the servants when Gilbert slid out from behind a column. His appearance was so sudden, Clavis didnât have an excuse to pretend to not notice him, so he hid everything behind his smile.
Clavis tells Gilbert that if he needs anything at all, heâd be delighted to direct him to Chevalier. Really, anything.
Gilbert complains that heâs bored, and Clavis tells him that Chevalier would be delighted to take care of the honored foreign guests.
Gilbert reminds him that he and Clavis are friends, so Clavis should want to take care of him. Reaching forward, he pats Clavis on the shoulder while smiling.
Once, long ago, Clavis had made a deal with Gilbert. Since then, the deal has been hanging like a leash and collar around his neck. Of course, if he had to, he would make the same deal with Gilbert again and again. Still, this entire situation is terrible, and he would rather foist Gilbert off onto Chevalier.
Gilbert whines that heâs still bored, so Clavis suggests he go for a walk in the rose garden. Gilbert pouts, he hates exercising. Clavis asks why he hasnât gotten fat yet.
(Clavis asking the questions we readers wish we could)
Gilbert moves the conversation along, Clavis knows what Gilbert is getting at, right? There is something he needs that he can only get from Clavis. Warily, Clavis asks him what he wants.
Gilbert just wants to get along with Ms. Bunny.
Clavisâ heart stumbles in his chest, it never occurred to him that Gilbert would be focused so much on Emma. The Worldâs Calamity wasnât joking, but he still couldnât read his true intentions.
Well, Clavis isnât the palace matchmaker. If Gilbert wants to get along with Emma, heâs talking to the wrong person.
Gilbert complains that Emma has been avoiding him, and Clavis laughs, noting that Emma must really dislike him. Gilbert nods in agreement, itâs a very sad situation, so sad that evil thoughts keep on popping up in his head, each one worse than the last.
Yeah, that was a threat.
Somehow Emma had attracted Gilbertâs attention, and as a gentleman, Clavis couldnât ignore it. He himself had been concerned about Emma ever since she had come to the court. At first, he had thought that he had found a delightful new toy, but sometimes, heâs been thinking of her as more than just a toy.
Well, at the very least, he does want to shield her from the evil politics of the country.
Clavis surmises that Gilbert is asking him to be a mediator between him and Emma, which Gilbert is happy that heâs finally figured out.
Clavis wags his finger, heâs a gentleman, not a coupleâs counselor. He is willing to create a chance for Gilbert and Emma to spend time together, but he will not force her to be with him. Gilbert laughs and agrees with his terms, heâs looking forward to the âopportunityâ Clavis will provide him.
When Gilbert leaves, Clavis checks to make sure heâs alone before finally dropping his smile. He wonders what he should do.
Suddenly, he hears a familiar voice approaching him. At the sound of two peopleâs footsteps, Clavis hides in the shadows, close enough that he can hear Emma ask Chevalier if she can visit his library again. Chevalier tells Emma she can do whatever she wants and doesnât need permission from him.
This isnât the first time Emma has been alone with Chevalier, to the point that people have been wondering if theyâre in love. Watching them, an unpleasant feeling wells up inside Clavis as they both pass by without noticing him.
What a terrible feeling; itâs as if Chevalier has taken away his favorite toy. Perhaps because his feelings have nowhere to go, he crumples the reports still in his hands. He tries to smooth the creases, his eyes falling across the top paper. Itâs a servant report about the cursed painting in the treasury vault.
Huh, maybe that would be a good idea. It would mean that he fails as a gentleman, but it would satisfy the itch he has to play with his toy.
In high-stress situations, people sometimes mix up their fear and love emotions. And this would count as providing an âopportunityâ for Gilbert, fulfilling his end no matter whom Emma chose.
Still, he never expected Emma to choose him.
After Emma had chosen him, he had made many mistakes during their time together. He had said things to try to incite fear, but if anything, Emmaâs eyes had lit up with excitement and interest.
*Flashback End*
In the end, Clavis had even spoken about Chevalierâs family history, even though this was a time when Emma was listening to his every word. No matter how hard he tries, he cannot escape Chevalierâs shadow. At this rate, he canât get Emma to stop looking at Chevalier and look at him instead.
Fine, he will make Emma afraid no matter what the cost.
In the end, he acted like there was a truth more terrifying than any ghost that they could encounter and saw that glimmer of fear he was looking for in Emmaâs eyes.
How strange. This is what he wanted, right?
Ugh. Heâs in danger of losing his reputation as a true gentleman if he scares Emma anymore. He backs down, assuring her that he was joking.
Emma breathes a sigh of relief, sheâs happy that he didnât go any further. Sheâd hate it if he made her never want to see him again. Teasing, Clavis asks if that means that she usually wants to see him.
Emma brushes him off but adds that sheâs always with him, so it would be rough if she hated him. And sheâs sure he would feel lonely too. Â But anyways, sheâd be happy if he wouldnât make such a mean joke again.
Oh.
Inadvertently, Clavis covers his mouth with his hand. Emma is so cute; it makes his heart pound like crazy. Thankfully Emma wasnât looking at him, so she didnât notice.
Oh no. It was Emma whose heart was supposed to be skipping beats, not him!
He tells Emma that he canât quite say that he wasnât planning anything. When Emma asks him what he means, he backs her against a nearby pillar and he grasps her hand, lifting it up.
Please, look at him instead of Chevalier . . .
If Emma could read his thoughts, she would laugh at him.
Clavis very gently kisses the tips of Emmaâs fingertips and sees that her eyes are open wide. He asks if she finds this exciting at all. He turns her hand to kiss her wrist.
Emma shakes him off, asking him to stop. Clavis has to admit to himself, all that did was make his heart pound faster. He wants to protect her, heâs jealous . . . itâs all proof that heâs in love with her.
The most frightening thing right now is Emma.
The pain from the second headbutt of the night only solidified the memories in his mind.
Epilogue
After the test of courage, there were many twists and turns in his and Emmaâs relationship, but in the end, they became engaged. Still, Clavis often thinks back to that summer, especially on the days when the servants organize the royal treasury.
Regardless of who belongs to the domestic or foreign factions, everyone who is familiar with art is tasked with the organization, which is why Clavis and Emma are directing the servants. After the organization is finished, Emma stays behind Clavis and becomes distracted by the painting from that summer.
The painting remains that of the woman loved by the Rose Knight, and even now her eyes are downcast with a calm expression. Back when he first saw the painting, Clavis had thought she looked sorrowful, and he knew that nothing should have changed that impression. Maybe it was just the angle of the light and the distance that he was looking at it that made it so different.
Or maybe there really was a ghost possessing the painting.
Clavis laughs at Emma, back then she had never been afraid of the painting, even though he had worked so hard to get the information on the scary, scary background.
Emma nods and explains that it's all due to him being there with her. Back then, she had felt so safe and secure with him that even if anything happened, she knew he would protect her. Thatâs why she had grown so frightened by that terrible joke he played right afterward.
Oh, wow. Thatâs news to him.
Clavis retroactively apologizes for behaving as less than a gentleman with her. However, afterward, she had become aware of him as a potential suitor, right? So, it wasnât all bad.
When Clavis looks into Emmaâs face at an easily kissable distance, she turns away and complains that heâs too close to her. Clavis reminds her that theyâre engaged, so itâs fine. Emma complains that his expression was too serious, so of course she would get nervous.
Emmaâs embarrassed face is the face she makes when she is in love. Clavis reminds Emma that he really is handsome, so please forgive this handsome gentleman in front of her. He kisses her on her cheek and is satisfied to see Emmaâs ears go red and a smile creep up her face.
Her smile is gone when Clavis literally sweeps her off her feet. Clavis notes that the Rose Knight was known to carry the portrait of his wife with him into the battlefield. So, this is nothing more than him showing how in love with her he is and taking a leaf out of the famous Rose Knightâs book.
He thinks the portraitâs smile looks warm as they leave the treasury.
When they return to Clavisâ room, he notes that Emma was unexpectedly quiet during the trip. Could it be that she really enjoyed it? Maybe they should take an extra lap around the castle?
Emma almost cries, so many people saw them. Everyone was staring at them.
Clavis agrees, they were all envious of their perfect love. Emma tells him that no matter what spin he puts on it, everyone looked dumbfounded. Clavis disagrees, it was definitely envy.
In the end, it doesnât matter to Clavis what other people feel about them, what matters is that Emma is aware of him in a romantic sense. Even now, all Clavis wants is to make Emma fall deeper in love with him. Nothing has changed since that test of courage so long ago.
Clavis kisses Emma, who covers her face with both of her hands.
Oh, but it had been a special treat when they had passed by Chevalier. He doubts Emma had even noticed the other man.
Back then, Clavis had been more afraid of Emmaâs affection being taken away by Chevalier than any ghost. In hindsight, he had been so childish.
Emmaâs hands drop from her face, her cheeks glowing red. Clavisâ heart throbs at her expression, and he tells Emma that he never got around to apologizing for that joke he played during the test of courage. Emma is pretty sure he already has.
With no hands to block him, Clavis begins to peck kisses on Emmaâs lips. Her mouth opens, and their tongues entwine, the room getting warmer and warmer. With the heat of the summer night added in, Clavisâ sense of reason is rapidly evaporating.
Or maybe it is long gone already.
Panting hotly, Emma removes her clothes, exposing her skin to the night air. Fascinated, Clavis traces his mouth down her neck, to her clavicle, down to her chest. He needs to apologize for that night, after all.
Emma asks Clavis if he ever knew how afraid sheâs been since that night. She was afraid that she would fall so much in love with Clavis that she wouldnât be able to live without him.
Clavis tells Emma that he was originally planning on apologizing, but now he would like to withdraw that apology.
He wants to scare her even more.
Just like he already is.
(that was a big ass lie)
. silvio parent hcs ! .
Very deliberately, you and Silvio have quite a few kids.
Your firstborn is a baby boy, with your hair color and Silvioâs deep blue eyes.
Heâs really fussy, always crying out for his momâs attention.
Silvio dotes on his son, but he always gravitates towards you.
Itâs the Benitoite(Italian) in him.
After your first son, you have another.
The eldest boy loves his little brother, and theyâre the best of friends.
Even though the oldest has a sharing problem with his toys.
After the second boy is a third, who ends up being a lot more shy and timid next to his brothers.
Silvio begins to wonder if youâre ever going to have a daughter.
He loves all his sons, and would do any and everything for them, but deep down he really wanted a daughter with you.
And then, on your fourth and final delivery, she arrives.
A tiny girl, who looks just like you.
Needless to say, your husband is over the moon.
Heâs always holding her and buying her the finest toys, blankets, and clothes money could possibly buy.
Thatâs not to say he doesnât spoil your boys either, but your daughter has definitely earned a special place in Silvioâs heart.
At first it can seem overwhelming being one of two girls in the Ricci family, but make no mistake: This is a female-run family.
Silvio is completely whipped for you and your daughter both, and basically will do anything you want.
Very stereotypical Italian father, lovingly rough with his sons and bending over backwards for his daughter.
Your boys are completely devoted to you too.
Theyâre also really overprotective of their sister.
The headstrong eldest, second in-command second-born, and soft-spoken third boy create quite a defense force for you both against anyone, be it annoying palace staff, rude attendants, or mean playmates to your daughter.
Speaking of your third boy, Silvio takes special care of him.
Youâd expect him to be hard on him, and he can be sometimes, but he has a lot of compassion for him, since he reminds him of you and your pure heart.
Heâs mellowed out quite a bit since marriage.
His favorite thing to do is go on family trips with you all, showing his kids the love and kindness he never got as a child.
It takes some adjustment, and he can be awkward with some aspects of parenthood, but he really means well for all four of your kids.
The five of you are really a blessing to him, one he isnât sure he always deserves.
But he tries his hardest every day to make up for the mistakes he had to suffer at the hands of his own father, by adoring you and your children.
Heâs always willing to hug them when they need it, and do something to brighten their day.
If itâs something that he knows he wouldâve needed growing up, he wants to give it to them.

Clavisâs golden eyes flicker with mischief as he tugs on the silken restraints behind your back, your wrists tied together. One of his hands holding onto your thigh as you sit on his leg, spread out for him and so vulnerable to his ministrations. Bare cunt rubbing over the fabric of his trousers.Â
Perfect.Â
Indeed, as if there is one thing Clavis cannot get enough of it is the sight of you flushed and wanton for him. So desperate and needy for his touch as you grind down on his leg, muffled whimpers falling from your parted lips. Left alone to chase after your release on your loverâs thigh.Â
âFeels good, darling?â He asks, voice laced with amusement and an edge of desire. Even the teasing smile on his lips cannot hide the fire roaring inside of him, not from you. âI bet it does considering how wet my little treasure is.âÂ
Heat rises to your cheeks as your eyes travel down to the wet smudge your entrance left on Clavisâs proper ironed trousers. You want to disappear, to hide from his all-too-happy gaze.
Or maybe you want to drown in it? In the pleasure and the desperate need for more.Â
Maybe you donât care about the fact youâve ruined his trousers. Not when rubbing your wet cunt up and down his thigh sends spark in your vision and turns you into a pool of molten desire. Lean muscles flexing underneath you in the most pleasurable way possible.Â
But Cyran is just behind this door, guarding-
Your teeth sink into your lower lip as another piercing moan threatens to slip from your tongue. But Clavis wonât have any of that, not when your moans are his favourite sound.Â
He bounces his leg up against your drenched entrance, stealing a high pitched whimper from you. And oh, how he loves it, your voice the sweetest of melodies in his ears. Even more so when it is tainted by pleasure.Â
âYou know I love these sounds you make, darling.â He leans in, his breath hot on the shell of your ear and a shiver runs up your spine, long fingers tightening their hold on your thighs, âSurely you can give your dear Clavis more of those? If you do, I might let you come undone.âÂ
âYou might?!âÂ
Oh how amusing you are, so adorable when you look at him with these eyes, fear of being denied yet another release apparent on your features. But you should know better, your sweet Clavis always gives you what you desire in the end. He is a gentleman after all and never one to deny his darling love for long.Â
âYou will, if you continue to sing for me.â His lips travel up your throat, tongue leaving a patch of wet skin in its wake. And you tremble under him.Â
âBut-But-â You try to shake off the daze of pleasure, try to keep your head cool as you melt under him. Even as your head tilts back to grant him an easier access to the sensitive patch of skin behind your ear.Â
âCyran?â He asks, smiling mischievously against your skin, âYou see, love, I might be too selfish for other men to see this look on your face, but I am not selfish enough to keep them from hearing you calling my name. Not if it means I get to hear you.â
He punctuates by tugging on your restraints, stealing a yelp from you. Hand guiding you over his thigh amused by the whimper that falls from your lips as your clit catches on the fabric of his trousers.Â
âNow, do you want to come undone for me?â He asks, amber eyes observing your pleasure ridden features, brows drawn together and teeth clumping down on your lower lip to stifle a whine. You know it is useless at this point though.Â
You nod, a shiver running up your spine as both his hands fall on your hips, keeping you down flush against his thigh as he bounces his leg on the ball of his foot. Just the extra stimulation you needed for your thoughts to blur and words to melt into incomprehensible blabbers.
âThere, those are the sounds I wanted to hear. But I think you can get even louder for me.â He says, and he knows you are in no condition to answer as you drag your wet entrance over his thigh, leaving another wet smudge of arousal behind you, to Clavisâs greatest pleasure.Â
A moan of his name escapes your throat as he bends down to take one of your pert nipples between his teeth, a hand leaving your hip to cup your naked cunt, fingers playing with your sensitive bundle of nerves to steal yet another cry of his name from you.
âGo ahead, darling, come for me.â Â He encourages as your hips buck against his palm. His words the only invitation you need for your release to ripple through you, jolts of sweet electricity running through you as the coil in your stomach snaps in tendrils of heat.Â
âAh-! Unggh- Cla-Clavis!âÂ
âThere you are,â He soothes, guiding you through your high with quick flickers of his finger on your clit.Â
He is not done though, bouncing you on his lap again, well intent on having you melting for him all over again, on having you crying and moaning out croaked whispers of his name. Each release shatters you only for his sweet ministrations to piece you back together until your next high.Â
But Clavis is gentle, kisses your brow with a loving smile on his lips as tears gather in your eyes, pleasure ripping through you faster than you see it coming. Until nothing is left and your mind is blank for all things but his name.Â
He cups your cheek, gentle as he gazes into your eyes and places a kiss to your lips, âThank you for this, you did so well for me.â A part of him feels guilty for pushing you so far, but another part sighs with relief when you flash him a tired smile.Â
He returns it, pressing another tender kiss to your hairline, âNow letâs get you cleaned up.âÂ

warnings: sub!Gilbert, riding, sense deprivation (blindfolding), praise kink, dirty talk, bondage, female bodied reader
If Gilbert just looks so good underneath you, he looks even better all tied up with his wrists above his head and a blindfold over his eyes.
And it is not your fault if you want to tease him, not when he makes it so hard to resist as he tugs on his binds and ruts his hips into thin air, pretty whines falling from his lips as you hover above him.
Just enough to give him a taste of your wet heat, just enough to leave him aching for more.
"Ungh! Plea-Please!" His voice sounds so sweet in your ears, and you smile above him, taking pleasure in watching him writhe on the sheets, skin flushed and hot with need.
And you know he loves it too. Because Gilbert asked for this, asked for you to top him tonight, to take care of him like he has taken care of you so many times before.
"If you want me, you have to use your words." You lean down and whisper in his ear, only fuelling the kernel of desire pooling inside of him. Because you know he's unable to form a full sentence right now. You know he cannot form a coherent thought, too hung up on his desperate need to bury his cock between your folds.
He has no way to know what your next move might be either, engulfed in total darkness with no way to remove the fabric over his eyes. And somehow that just makes it all the better, adrenaline rushes to his head at the prospect of what you might do.
A part of you wants to tease him further, to make him beg and cry for you. But another bigger part looks forward to the fun of riding him, of hearing his sweet whines and grunts, sounds that only you can hear.
All thoughts fly out the window the moment you lower yourself onto his length, so slow Gilbert aches to thrust up and take what he wants. But he doesn't, the pain and burning frustration taste too good for him to cut it short.
So he stays put, wrists twisting in his binds as you take your sweet time to take him in, the warmth of your walls driving him crazy and so hungry for more.
"You're doing so well for me, you know?" You praise, and Gilbert never knew he needed to hear these words from you until now, until his cock twitches inside of you and a whine escapes him.
And you laugh, his heart swelling in his chest as the golden sound reaches his ears, "You like this? You like when I let you know how much of a good boy you are for me?"
Of course he does.
And he loves it when you take your time to ride him too, to fuck him dumb until tears gather in his eyes and he just has to cum. Until he is so overstimulated, pain laces with pleasure.

You think you are alone, here in the open heart of the forest, but you are wrong. Above, swimming in the inky darkness of a night sky, the stars themselves blink at the sight of you two, together. They watch, curious, as you fall, heavy with relief, into the fortress of Cyranâs arms and press yourself against the hard stonework of his body. Your eyes close as you hold him, as you breathe in the comforting, earthy scent of his skin. Here you are safe, far away from the palace with its many doors and many windows where even an idle gaze might happen upon something it shouldnât. Something that is forbidden.
You hurried here, fighting through the grasping branches of the forest, the ones that plucked at your clothing and passed on the whispering windâs warning. You were fleet-footed over winding paths littered with sharp twigs and leaves that hid dangerous inclines and threatening stones which punched the bottom of your leather boots as you ran. The forest watched closely as you cut your way through the darkness, no light but the pale slants of a crescent moon filtered through the trees to guide you. Finally you finally reached the clearing, the clandestine oasis in the middle of the forest, where the moon can shine unhindered and crickets sing a love song to the starry sky.
He is already there, having arrived earlier than planned. His usually bright hair is a burnished garnet in the darkness. He has his broad back turned to where you emerge from the trees, one hand at the pommel of sword, always at the ready, always dutiful. Always on guard.
Until he met you. You are the one that penetrated his rigid armor of order with your kindness, your intelligence, your warmth, your beauty. The one who reached through all those layers of loyalty, uncertainty, propriety, apprehension to take his heart in your hands, and remold it into a vessel capable of holding more than just those iron emotions.Â
Now, as he holds you in his strong arms, your hands cradle his face and fill his heart with tenderness; your body presses against his, electric, filling his heart with desire. Your throat passes along sighs and whispered words of devotion, filling his heart with a sense of calm, of safety. Because of you, his heart is full, those once locked-up chambers unfolding like a lunar blossom in the starlight.Â
He undoes his alabaster cape in one elegant movement and lays it down, a rectangle of light surrounded by dark green grass. He pulls you back in his arms, even a second apart too much, and locked together, you slowly sink to your knees. The world tilts and for a moment, only the star-crossed sky fills your vision, those glowing pinpoints of heavenly brilliance scattered across the velvet black of night. And then Cyran is above you and you close your eyes to the sky, sight unnecessary, as you run your hands through the silk of his hair, taste the hunger of his kiss.
The stars continue to shine, but you have found a source of something divine, right here on earth. Devotion in the caress of his rough fingers, benediction in the sound of your name on his lips, revelation in every heated kiss. You sink into the pure light of his affection, your heart alight with a love brighter than any nightborne star.
