You know, there's nothing wrong with glass "gemstones". Some people are perfectly okay with imitation stones because they're cheap and look nice. Other people like certain man-made stones as what they are (I personally love goldstone, it's very pretty).
The issue is with how people blatantly lie about their stones. If they just said "imitation quartz made with glass" or "heat treated amethyst", then it would not only be totally fine, they'd probably get quite a bit of business because making good quality imitation stones takes skill and people are always looking for cheap gemstones that look good.
Instead they lie and market their pieces off as genuine, driving up the prices and giving customers a product that isn't what they paid for. There's no excuse for that shit. Own up to what you do and stop scamming people.
