What you might not realise about some autistic people, is the struggle they go through just to feed themselves. Whether it be aspects of synesthesia playing havoc with all their senses at once or crippling OCD that limits them to certain tried and trusted favourites. . Today was different. This evening at Ikea, Luca had fish n chips with peas and tartare sauce. There was not one word of complaint, or even comment at the fact that it was all over the place, (as opposed to being neatly separated so as not to touch). . This may not seem much to most neurotypicals, but to us it's a pretty big milestone. ✌🏼️❤️😎 . #autismawareness #prouddad
