Happy Completion of the 2018 Rick and Morty Big Bang!!!

To everyone who participated, from our fantastic writers, to our amazing artists, to our patient betas and our wonderful cheerleaders, and to anyone who will read, like, and comment on the inspired works of literature and design crafted this year: THANK YOU! Thank you for making this, my very first big bang, and absolute delight! Thank you for being supportive to one another, being driven enough to participate! Thank you even to those of us who didn’t quite make it. It was a tough run, but hopefully you will still show your support by reading, giving kudos, and reblogging the many mind-blowing pieces the collective talent of this group has produced! <3 

This is a piece I promised back when the BB started, a kind of tribute to the entire project and everyone in it. Though these Mortys and Ricks all stand for someone who requested a place on the image, the overall point is not to simply support those few, but everyone who made this project such a success! Almost 500,000 words were written for the BB this year! (I produced a whopping 53k story myself, which I’m super proud of. Hehe.)

I look forward to reading every chapter of every entry posted! I’ll kudo, comment, and share all that I can, it just might take me a while. (I’m a slow reader ^^; ) But bear with me and I’ll be there!

Anyway… I hope you all like the image. It’s the biggest group of anything I’ve ever drawn! It’s just a colored sketch, but I put a lot of love and work into it. The RNM Big Bang is a non-for-profit challenge, however when we make the final round-up post we will be providing the links to the social media for all the artists and authors that participated this year, from which people can find Ko-Fi and Patreons for both groups if they would like to show their support!

Are people adding random works to the collection that are not supposed to be there?

No, at this time all stories posted to the Rick and Morty Big Bang collection and Unfinished Collection are registered participants!

The primary Big Bang collection is also now closed, though the Unfinished collection will remain open for another week or so to allow people who didn’t complete on time to showcase their efforts.

Late and Unfinished Works

Unfortunately, not every piece could be completed within the given timeframe.  However, that doesn’t mean that the authors working on them didn’t invest plenty of blood, sweat, and tears into their creation.  For this reason, we’ve created a separate collection for late and unfinished works that couldn’t make it in on time.  If you’re interested in checking out the stories and accompanying art that didn’t quite make it, you can view them here!

We Did It!

And as midnight ticks by for Hawai’i, the inaugural Rick and Morty Big Bang is officially closed! 

A couple of stories are still waiting for their last chapters to be uploaded due to technical and health issues on the part of the authors, but all should be up and complete within a couple days.

An official close out post with more details will come soon, but for now we’d like to say thank you and congratulations to the sixteen wonderful, fully illustrated fics we have posted, totally around a whopping 475,000 words of new stories!
