Ice Bucket Challenge comes to Bangalore: Ridingo-GSF 10K Run

Mark did it, so did Sergey and Larry.  

Elon did it with his kids and Bill did it in style. 

Ice Bucket Challenge is now coming to Bangalore City to promote Greener Cities through Ride Sharing.

Rajesh Sawhney has accepted the challenge and will face the bucket after Ridingo – GSF 10k run.

  The Ridingo – GSF 10k run is part of the GSF conference #WhereDoWeGoNow and will take place this Monday, 25th August at Cubbon Park. The run is open to all interested parties and we are expecting a huge turnout of people from the Startup Community (VC’s, Angel’s, Founders, Enthusiasts) Now this is the best part, post the run, Rajesh Sawhney (founder of GSF) has been challenged by the founders of Ridingo to the Ice Bucket Challenge in order to increase awareness for greener cities through ride sharing. So if you think, having Ice Cold Water poured down your head at 8am is difficult, imagine doing this post running 10km’s. We think it would be Double the Fun and Double the chance of raising the awareness. Once nominated, participants will have 24 hours to challenge three more people to do the same. If someone refuses, the penalty will be to go and personally thank a Traffic Police cop and post a selfie from the act on twitter with #RidingoGSFIceBucket.                         There is no substitute for the experience when amazing things happen. The experience of a bus ride back home or an cab ride back home, they don't really cut it. Because, the Ridingo experience is an amazing experience and we LIVE for that experience. 

At Ridingo we never set out to do something big. We never measure success by the number of rides we do everyday . It isn't about the number of users or the number of cars . Thats not what makes it a success .

Years from now, you won't remember the colour of your first car you took a ride in , the rides you shared , or the rides you missed . You won't remember the car you first sat in , but you won't forget who you were with . You were there and they were there . And in that moment of meeting someone new and sometimes cheesy bro hugs time stood still and thats why we do it . 

We are taking the road less travelled . Ridingo isn't made by flashy cars or buttoned up drivers , its made by you and the people you are with and the memories you make. Because when those years go by and the images blur, when the sands of time and distractions of life take a toll we still have the feeling I AM RIDINGO.

                                                               At Ridingo we believe that every vote counts and have set out on a mission to make sure that every person has a chance to exercise their right to vote. Now, you might be wondering how are we going to achieve this? This will happen only with the help of awesome people like yourself. Through this week Ridingo is running #HelpBangaloreVote campaign. All you need to do is register yourself as a car owner on the Ridingo elections page and help citizens of this amazing country reach their polling booth.

For Car Owners :

Log onto www.ridingo.com/elections2014.

Click on the “I want to help others vote” button.

Register yourself as a car owner by entering your details along with your Voter ID number for security and verification purposes.

Find riders in your locality who are willing to share a ride.

Help them reach the polling booth and in turn you are doing your bit for the country.

For Ride Takers :

Log onto www.ridingo.com/elections2014.

Click on I Need a Ride to polling booth.

Register yourself as a rider by entering your details along with your Voter ID number for security and verification purposes.

You can also just send us an SMS with by the 16th of April to 51115.

An awesome car owner from the same locality will get in touch via phone.

On the Voting day that helpful car owner will drive you to your respective polling booth and back.
