Rigby licks the corner of his mouth. “I’m not seeing anyone either.”
runfastemery:
“Nope, not worth it.” Emery shook his head. “You?”
“Not worth it?”
runfastemery:
“A surprise gift? Wow you’re so lucky.” He teased. “Visited my mother. Made her breakfast and wrapped a few gifts. Went for a run and then did nothing.”
“No new boyfriend?”
runfastemery:
“But I liked the innuendos.” Emery replied with a a smirk before shaking his head. He set down his cup and pulled the other closer so his arm was around him. “Alright, tell me about your day.”
“Just work, then I got a surprise gift, which made it stand out among the rest of my week. How about yours?”
runfastemery:
“No, no,” Emery shook his head with a small smile. “There’s no meter or something of how much time I can spend with you before I go all hulk and start stripping.” Emery teased. “Im just adjusting to small talk with you instead of how we used to talk.”
“We can still talk how we used to. Minus the innuendos.”

“That’s good. Washing is good.” Emery nodded trying not to bury his head in his hands for the awkwardness that’s occurring.
Rigby can’t really say anything to that, except smile, as he brings the tea back to Emery. “If this is your limit, you can go, you know. I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable around me. It’s okay, I won’t get offended.”

Emery straightens up and averts his eyes, shaking his head. “Nope, just seeing if you still had the same sheets.”
Rigby snorts. “I mean, I wash them, but yeah. Haven’t gotten any new sheets in a while.”

Emery looked at the mug in his hand and then back at the other and nodded. “Uh, yeah, sure um thanks.” He leaned back on the couch after handing his mug over, his eyes maybe lingering on the open door to the bedroom and that enticing bed.
“Should I close it?” Rigby asks from the counter top, noticing the direction in which Emery was looking.

“Oh well I’m glad you’ve at least kept the scheduling up.” Emery replied trying not to let the fact that Rigby not only winked at him but also touched him get to him.
“Do you want a refill on the tea?”

Emery raised an eyebrow as he looked at the other with a small smirk. “If you do it all the time then it’s definitely a problem. But if it’s not a regular think then maybe I got you the wrong beverage for Christmas and you’re more of a drinker than I remember.”
“No, see, the tea is during work, and the alcohol is for after. I have a schedule,” Rigby says with a wink, lightly elbowing Emery.
