For me interior design can cover an enormous amount of things. From a simple as rearranging furniture so that a room looks better to designing that furniture and the space around it. Interior design is putting your new chair under your old table, it’s creating a simple space to sleep or creating something a little more complicated like public library. As an interior designer you can put an old abandoned building to new use an make it into the most amazing house. And that house can be light and open with lots of designer furniture, or cosy with the first couch you ever bought.
You can create a small apartment with different heights to make it interesting. Everyday I see new project online, new solutions to everyday problems, like overpopulation of the city’s. I think it’s important to learn to love the small spaces, more and more people need to find a place to live. As a person how as the ability to make small places fun and attractive you can have an interesting mission.
As an designer of space I think that the most interesting furniture are the ones that can transform into multiple things. This closet is not just that, it’s a work space. Giving your designs more than one purpose is sometimes a big challenge, but totally worth it.
Also we need to bring the outside into the inside and make our spaces bigger like this. By doing this we can create better house for in the summer. Designers need to stop thinking about what you can’t do, because there is nothing really we can’t. A slide in a living room? Done! It might be crazy, but the world is crazy and the best way of handling it is have fun.
