More practice pages, this time with Twin and Aluco. I think this is the closest to canon of any of these sidestories.

Aluco's reasons for disliking Twin don't actually have anything to do with Twin himself.

Random lore dump in comic form because this is the only way I know how to do things apparently.

Having grown up under the thumb of Breaker, all Acer really knows about magicians is in terms of how to hunt them-- what he explains here is true to an extent, but there's a lot about himself he doesn't really know.

How do Ollie and Clover get along? They don't! Ollie's fully aware that she's terrified of him and teases her about it regularly. Acer will usually put a stop to the teasing when he's there, but whether Ollie intends to be or not, he's still a threat to the little magician.

Magicians come in three types, told apart by their eyes: Contortionists ♦, Tricksters ♥, and Ventriloquists ♣.

With no abilities of their own, some Humans ♠ are specially trained to fight these rare beings.

Some more test pages from a while back to help me figure out these guys' dynamic.

Acer is Clover's figure of authority who prefers to give support over guidance. Acer's also not used to comforting children or the idea that people could be worried about him. On the other hand, Clover isn't used to not being relied upon, or having someone look out for her (at least, not altruistically).

Some more sketchy quasi-canon pages from when I was figuring how Acer and Twin would interact at first. Twin's a shifty kid, but still a kid, and one who thinks he's immortal.
