What do Valentino and Velvette think of the whole Vox and Morningstar family dynamic?

it's pretty normal for them, since Vox was already under the Morningstar's employment when he met both of them.

Valentino was the first to notice when feelings began to bloom for the RoyalStatic throuple, but since he adores Charlie this was the opposite of a problem. he's usually the first one Vox goes to when he needs to vent, so he gets all of the latest drama

Is Vox's suit the same as in Canon or is it different? (by the way, I liked your art style)

this ask gave me an excuse to make myself a reference for nanny Vox's suit so I don't have to keep looking back at old art

it's not terribly complex, but I think it reflects how different Vox is in this AU

it's less flashy, more practical. the colors are similar but the blue highlight is muted. he wants to be taken seriously while staying out of the spotlight

Is Vox officially an overlord? Does he come to meetings? Do the others know how powerful he is

the way I imagine it, Vox is still technically an overlord, in that he owns VoxTek (a company with a lot of influence and power) and is an incredibly powerful demon in his own right.

but he doesn't really show his face anywhere, so the average sinner doesn't know who he is. Val is the CEO of VoxTek & the Vees (Velvette & Valentino) run the entertainment district publicly while Vox is content to give direction from the background.

Vox does attend overlord meetings, but as a representative for the royal family.

I had a thought for your royal nanny au:while vox tries to keep his two lives separate,Val and vel will sometimes comes to palace to discuss business. They've both met charlie and adore her. Valentino would play with her and fly her around. And velvette would occasionally design outfits for her and give her new hairstyles.

right on the money with Valentino! in this au, Val's a lot softer around the edges and definitely has a soft spot for Charlie. while Vox at least tries to pretend he has some restraint, Val absolutely spoils her

unfortunately, Velvette doesn't die and go to hell until Charlie is already an adult, so they're not as close at the beginning. their conflicting personalities rub each other the wrong way and it takes some time for them to warm up to one another, but once they're there it's great. a very older/younger sister type dynamic

My ancestors would have wanted pasteurization, vaccines, antibiotics, disinfectants, birth control, psychiatric medications, pain management, anesthesia. My ancestors would have wanted to be able to keep their loved ones around longer, and not lose them too early/too soon to childbirths, injuries, bacterial infections, mental illnesses, and diseases that are curable and/or preventable in our modern day life.

Modern medicine saves lives.

In fact, we know they did want these things, because they invented them. They gave them to us out of generations of struggling to understand and make use of nature itself. "Ancestral knowledge" includes the unglamorous things like germ theory, the functioning of the immune system, and how to manufacture lifesaving vaccines. It's not just magical or mystical or remote, it's present in our lives at every moment. It's the reward of human connection: the sum total of human discovery and the boundless ingenuity of human invention, surrounding us at all times with absolute miracles made banal by their familiarity.

If we reject modern medicine, then we reject all the labors and trials our ancestors went through for us; we reject our very nature.

Please, for your ancestors' sake: vaccinate your kids, and take your goddamn medicine.
