“Hey MC, wanna go on a date?”
MC didn’t expect him to ask her out on a date. She was hoping for that to happen soon, of course, bet he had been working for several days.
“Sounds fun! Sure!” she smiled.
Seven took her hand. Although they had gone on many dates together before, this time he was smiling like it was their first time.
“Great. Let’s go!” he said, leading MC to one of his cars.
“Wait. Now?”
“No better time than the present!”
MC shrugged with a grin and got into the car with Seven. She was hoping for a walk in the park or something, but she knew that with Seven, that would never happen. However, it would be a lot more personal.
“Where are we going?” She asked, starting to think of all their previous dates – 36-hour movie marathon, roller skating, skydiving… all their dates were quite odd, yet strangely romantic.
“You’ll see.” He grinned, and before soon they arrived at a building that had a large sign, reading…
“…Laser tag?” MC asked.
“Stop one!” Seven replied, and they decided to play against each other. Since he has so much training from being an agent, he must be pretty good at laser tag, MC thought. And she was right – he was staying in the lead, although MC had him down to low health.
“I’m winning!” He laughed, teasing MC.
“Not for long!” MC had a plan… She knew exactly how to defeat Seven.
“You sure about that?” Right after Seven asked this, MC pushed him into a nearby corner and kissed him. While doing this, she readied her gun, and shot him several times, making him run out of health.
“Gotcha.” She smirked, laughing.
“Hey! That’s cheating!” Seven argued but still laughing.
“No, it’s not. Next stop?” They turned back in their equipment and walked out.
“It’s pretty local. We can walk!” Seven ran back to his car and started opening the boot of the car.
“Why are we stopping by your car?” MC asked.
“I brought something for this.” Seven pulled out a large box, full of Honey Buddha Chips. The box was decorated with ribbons, hearts, and a robotic cat.
“Did you plan this out already?” MC smiled.
“Ha… Maybe. Let’s go!” Seven and MC then started walking, holding each other’s hand, and the box of Honey Buddha Chips. After a half hour walk, they got to a console gaming arcade.
“How did you find this place?” MC wondered out loud in awe… It was a place you could rent games for any (newer) console imaginable, and consoles you could rent and play them on.
“I know a lot of places,” Seven replied, walking in and paying. “Pick a game!”
“Um… maybe this one?” she said, picking out Mario Cart 8. “It’s a shame they don’t have any of the older ones…”
They played together, and somehow MC was in the lead this time – Seven decided this was not going to happen again. Just behind MC in the end of the final lap, while still paying attention to the game, he leaned over and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
“I love you.” He said, smiling, and the sudden affection made MC lose control and stop accelerating for a while. Seven quickly sped ahead, winning the race, and furthermore, the Grand Prix.
“You can’t cheat!” MC pouted but quickly realized why this wouldn’t work.
“And you can’t say I’m cheating when you did the same thing.” Seven pointed out, as MC expected.
“Fine. You have a point. Next round?” she giggled, rolling her eyes. Of course, she did the exact same thing to Seven.
“Okay, but I’m going to win again.” He said, confidently.
“And I’m going to prove you wrong.” MC teased. However, after the race was over she found herself cursing Princess Peach for barely beating her… and Princess Peach just happened to be played by Seven.
“Lol. I told you!” he bragged, them both returning the controllers and game.
“Okay, what’s next?” MC asked, getting in the car with a box of empty HBC bags. However, instead of a direct response, Seven just grinned mysteriously.
“You’ll see.” He grinned. Wait a minute, MC thought… he said this… at the beginning of the date.
“Again?” MC questioned, hoping for a clearer answer, although she knew this wouldn’t happen with him.
“Yup.” He smirked. They continued driving for 10 minutes. 20… 30…
“Are we there yet? Where are we going?” MC asked. What was he planning? She hoped this wasn’t one of those dates where Seven decides it’s romantic to break into somewhere, like a cult. It is kind of romantic in its own way, but…
“Don’t worry, this is the best place yet!” Seven assured her. After about 20 more minutes of driving, they arrived at a cliff. You could see the city from there, but the area seemed so natural. The sun was just setting, and you could see some early stars, but the sky was still a bright orange… It was breathtaking.
“Wow… It’s beautiful.” MC said in awe.
“I know… and you know what else is beautiful?” Seven smiled, implying a pickup line.
“You.” MC kissed him and smiled, satisfied that she ruined the pickup line.
“This is why we’re dating, MC.” Seven said, kissing her again.
A couple minutes went by. Then MC piped up again, asking Seven a question.
“So… how are we going to get back?”
