because it can escape

when things get dark

and a dead soul

will not stop my bones

from craving your touch

what a naive phrase

told by happy people 

with pretty things 

 

for if I shared 

how my mind torments me 

you’d bleed just by listening

 

so I keep my thoughts

to let you in
