Daisy laughed lightly to herself then shook her head. “I mean to be fair, the height that you are you could have just jumped and reached my window so, come to think of it.. It’s not all that impressive.” The brunette teased him with a quick wink, hand moving to tuck a couple of curled strands behind her ear. “My parents did always call you Ridiculous Riley.” She smirked, it was her attempt at a joke and yet.. The mention of her parents only brought a somber expression to her face. Quickly shaking her head, Daisy then allowed her gaze to shift back to settle on his face, the smile that graced his lips immediately forcing one to hers. That damn smile.. Merlin, it was something she could certainly get used to seeing. In response to his statement, the brunette laughed lightly then delivered a gentle slap to his shoulder without thinking. “Crap, sorry!” She exclaimed, laughing as she massaged his shoulder once again, head rolling to the side to rest her cheek against the mattress as she peered toward him.
Tilting his head to the side, Riley raised his brows. “How dare you.” He said in a playful tone. “That climb was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do in a while.” He assured her. Hell, after that potion he’d taken not too long ago, he was lucky that he even managed to get all the way to the window. Riley was about to reply when he saw her expression change and thought better of it. Instead, he said something different. “Well, if you’re brother had walked in while I was on the floor, then that name might have stuck again. Or maybe even a worse on.” He said, nudging her arm with his shoulder. The smile on her lips was more than enough to cause his to grow even wider. Of course, the slap on his shoulder shocked him a bit. Though, it seemed to shock her more, and Riley simply laughed. “You’re a weird one, you know that?” He asked, gaze falling back on her as she lay down. Without a thought, his hand came up and brushed the hair out of her face and behind her ear, allowing him to see her face more clearly.
