FIRST DATES DON’T ALWAYS GO AS PLANNED
A/N: As requested by @gintoki-sakata, I’m back with another GinTsu fanfic. I’m sorry it took me so long and yeah. It’s pretty long too. I wasn’t planning on making it this long but..I couldn’t I’m so sorry >.< I hope you guys enjoy it!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
It all started with a “Would you like to go out with me?”
It was just another summer afternoon when Gintoki decided to go out for a small walk and happened to encounter Tsukuyo in Kabukicho. She told him that she had some business to attend and one conversation led to another and now, here they were, sitting on a park bench, asking her this question in his usual nonchalant voice.
Skeptical, Tsukuyo glanced at the man sitting beside him with narrowed eyes. “Where’s this comin’ from?”
Gintoki just shrugged casually at her question. “I don’t know. Maybe because I’m thirty-four and still single?” He threw a nasty look at the couples making out in front of him. “Plus, everyone around me is either getting married or dating someone! Hell, even SHINPACHI IS DATING SOMEONE!”
Tsukuyo could clearly hear the frustration in his voice as he threw his arms in the air. “Plus, what’s wrong with these people!? Are they in heat or something?”
Her eyes turned towards the source of his irritation as she held back a snicker. The Savior of Yoshiwara was growing old and the young lovers surrounding him only made his blood boil. He sounded like a typical old man.
“So, that’s why yer askin’ me out?” She asked anyways.
Sighing, he turned to look at her. “Tsukuyo,” his voice was suddenly serious. “I’m thirty-four and I’ve no experience in dating. And I just thought perhaps…you know, I can try it out a little.”
“Then why not ask someone else?” she asked as a matter of fact.
“Because.” He paused, leaning a little close to her “Why not?”
Her heart accelerated a little at their close proximity. “And, I didn’t want to ask just any random woman out. Luckily, you’re not dating anyone….Right?”
Composing herself, Tsukuyo shifted back a little, gaining a little more distance between them. “No.” She replied honestly, her eyes now looking at the park instead of him.
“Alright.” He almost sighed in relief. “So, Tsukuyo. Do you want to go out on a date with me?”
His formal request didn’t sound like himself, somehow. But she agreed anyways. “Fine. I’ll go.”
It was Gintoki whose heart beat quickened a little. “Great. So where would you like to go?”
“Ya decide.” She said, standing up. “After all, yer the one who asked me out. See ya”
Her playful tone didn’t go unnoticed by him as he saw her leave the park. He slouched back on the bench, his eyes scanning the endless blue sky as he once again thought about her answer to his question.
Well, damn.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The next day, Gintoki was sitting with his legs propped up on his desk as he flipped another page of Jump. Shinpachi was, like always, cleaning up the place with an apron tied around his waist and Kagura was sitting right beside Sadaharu as he hungrily chomped from his huge bowl.
It was just another day in the Sakata household until this question was shot in the air.
“Where do you take a girl out on a date?”
Shinpachi dropped the duster.
Sadaharu stopped chewing.
And Kagura’s eyes almost popped out of her sockets.
The abrupt silence in the room made Gintoki look up from his precious Jump. “Hey what hap- The hell are you all looking at!?” He yelled as he looked at their completely shocked face.
“What do you mean ‘a date’?” It was Shinpachi who spoke first.
“And who in their right mind is going out on a date with you!?” Kagura screamed dramatically. “What did you do, you perm head!?”
He knew it was a bad idea. But what could he do, he had no experience with these kind of things! And he thought maybe, just maybe, these kids could help this old man out a little.
Oh how wrong he was.
“Oi! Shut up!” He shot up from his seat.
“Then tell us who is it!?” Kagura yelled back, pitying the woman who said yes to him.
Gintoki gritted his teeth in irritation. Yes, he knew this was going to get awkward. He had lived with these kids for years and not once have he had any kind romantic involvement in his entire life. Back during the war, brothels were his thing. But dates? He never did dates. But here he was. Asking for some advice because he was a complete novice and he needed help. And if it meant throwing his pride and revealing the woman’s name, so be it! He was not a coward! “…..Tsukuyo.”
His voice was so low it made Shinpachi put a hand near his ear. “Eh? Who?”
God, he was gonna die! “I said Tsukuyo goddamnit! You got a problem with that!”
He knew he was red. Red and fuming and suddenly he wanted to become an ostrich.
“Tsuk-ki/Tsukuyo-san?” They said simultaneously, their mouths agape.
“Yeah. Tsukuyo. Now help me out here, will you?”
Both of them looked at the man standing in front of them. Then they looked at each other with horrified looks on their faces.
How!?
He got lucky when Tsukuyo agreed to go out with him. Alas, it was not the case this time.
And before he could speak again, he saw them rush towards the door. “OTOSE –SANNN!!!!!” That was the last thing he heard before the shoji door was slammed shut.
Now, the whole Kabukicho was gonna know he got a date with the infamous Courtesan of Death.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
It was late in the evening by the time Gintoki reached the festival. He was finally going out on a date. His usual white kimono and leather boots were now replaced with a black yukata with grey stripes and a pair of geta as he stood in front of the entry gate. After all the commotion and red face and “shut up’s!” two days ago, Otose finally suggested him to take Tsukuyo to the neighborhood festival. And so, he told Tsukuyo over the phone.
But that was not the end of the day. The kids decided to butt in.
Gintsu going absolutely feral when the other is hurt 😩👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💦💦💦💦💦

I - II - III - IV
Gintoki leads the way, trudging up the stairs as if he owns the place. Tsukuyo follows after taking the sake from his hands, lest he trips over and breaks the thing. It’s late and she’s not in the mood for cleaning up after this man’s mess. The hallways are clear and the light in Hinowa’s room that was still on before Tsukuyo left has now been turned off, though that didn’t stop Gintoki from knowing exactly where to turn and which door to slide open, drunk as he is.

“Don't tempt me,” Gintoki grumbled, taking another bite of his parfait.
“The doctor said one a month, not one a week.”
Gintoki didn't retort, merely took another bite and chewed thoughtfully.
FOOLISH LOVE
A GinTsu fanfiction
In the night I whisper your name
In the night I hold you to me
And wait for you to appear
Foolish Love
***
You ran if to meet the moon.
It was a dream, he remembered.
A voice called out and those were the words uttered.
He remembered glancing at her enthralling beauty as she was swept away by the darkness.
He ran, he remembered.
He ran as if to meet the moon.
***
He often found himself looking at her.
It wasn’t intentional. He kept repeating that in his head. But every once in a while, he found his eyes glance at her direction.
Had he been bewitched? Was his mind playing tricks? He didn’t understand.
But he found himself looking. At the little things she did. The small things she said.
How a knot would appear between her brows when she would come back from her patrol. How she would sigh, her eyes close as she would inhale, her chest heaving and sinking with every deep breath. How she would push those golden locks of hers behind her ear, her eyes scanning those papers in her hands as she read every single detail mentioned. How she would bow her head slightly in gratitude at her comrades after a long and tiring day. How his little teasing comments would make her pale cheeks flush with bright pink as she would turn away in embarrassment. How she would turn back at him once again, her eyes piercing and challenging before his vision goes black. How a small smile would adore her beautiful face when she would hear little kids playing on the streets.
But what always took his breath away was the way he would find her sometimes looking at him. She is a witch, he found himself saying in his head for he had completely fallen in her trance. He would again find himself looking, as if she was a fleeting dream just like that one, as if she was going to disappear with the daybreak. So, he looked. At the way her lips moved with every word she spoke. At the way those small, white creases glistened in her amethyst orbs, making his heart race a little faster while he wondered whether he had ever seen such mesmerizing jewels in his life.
He was a fool, he knew. But with every sigh and every touch and every glance and every smile, he didn’t mind becoming the biggest fool in the entire universe.
***
Her presence sometimes made him wonder how a coward like him could walk beside her?
Her shoulders still carried the pain, the betrayal, the burden. And yet, she never stopped. She never blamed the world for the suffering it had caused her and walked forward, a smile so warm it could melt any pain away.
He remembered those words he once said to a man, “This whole time, there was only ever a pathetic little spider, spinning threads into the sky while gazing at the distant moon.”
Was he just another moth, wandering in the dark, blinded with the light which glimmered upon the night sky?
But her voice would break his chain of thoughts. And when his lost eyes would meet her kind ones, he would walk back to her as if that was all he could see, even in perfect daylight.
Perhaps, he was a moth fluttering around her light.
And he would never mind getting lost in it.
***
He worshipped her.
He didn’t know whether Gods and deities exist. But she was there. And he only worshipped her.
At long, cold nights, he would often find his sweat-drenched body wrapped in her arms as she rocked him back and forth.
“It’s alright.” She would whisper. “I’m here.”
He still dreamed of the dead. Sometimes even her. She would be covered in red and no matter how much he screamed, she could no longer hear him.
But she was there. And her voice was a lullaby to his ears, putting him back to his slumber, screams and wails of the dead now replaced with a song he might never hear.
He worshiped her.
With every touch he placed on her bare skin, he remembered every single line gracing her body. Every scar that marked her pale skin, he would trace them with his fingers before kissing them softly.
Her nails would only dig deeper in his back, forming red, crescent-shaped marks all over as he continued to whisper sweet nothings in her ears.
“Tsukuyo.”
Her name was his mantra, and she was his shrine. And with every pressing touch and ghostly kiss, breathy moans would escape her lips as she found her arms tightening around his shoulders, clinging to him for her dear life.
“Gintoki.”
His name was all she could chant and he, with every thrust would pray, pray to the universe, pray to her to never stop calling him.
She was not a witch. She was a goddess.
He was not stuck in a trance. He was now devoted.
And with every breath and every sob and every smile and every pain, he made a promise to himself. He would worship her for the rest of his life.
***
He never desired much in his life, never asked for the impossible to happen during his existence. He was a nomad by heart but there was an exception. If he ever wanted to hold something so badly in his life, it was her in his arms. The foreign emotion that continued to linger in his chest, he didn’t know when it first appeared. But he knew it was never going to disappear.
She was impossible to hold, impossible to reach, her path could never converge with his. And yet, he found himself yearning for her.
He knew he was foolish. He knew he ran after the moon. And it scared him, made his heart throb in such an unknown pain when he thought she would be gone once the morning comes up.
But every time, he found himself sighing in relief.
With their limbs muddled under the sheets, the moon never left his side.

A/N: Hello everyone! So, yeah. I decided to write another fic and this time it’s completely Gintoki-centric. I was listening to this song “Foolish Love” by Allman Brown (the lyrics I used at the beginning are from this song, go check it out if you want) and this inspired me to write this fic. I hope Gintoki doesn’t appear too OOC in here but to be honest, I always kinda felt that he really admires Tsukuyo and when he finally realizes that he’s fallen for her, he’d be scared a little and maybe he’d feel a bit insecure. Because of the life styles they lead and how Tsukuyo is almost unattainable. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Thank you for reading ^-^!

GinTsu Fanfic - Jealousy
Fandom:Gintama
Couple: Gintoki and Tsukuyo
Gintoki, asleep, hugging his pillow, his eyelids fluttering, he opened his eyes open the first thing he saw after opening his eyes was Tsukuyo, who bent over him with a smile on his face and blushes on his cheeks. Gintoki opened his eyes wider with surprise. The samurai’s head lay on Tsukyo’s knees with his hand stroking his hair. “Tsukuyo, what are you doing?” “Like who? I’m with you silly.I love you Gintoki ” Tsukuyo, bent her head slowly, closed her eyes and glares to Gintoki’s mouth “Tsukki” Gintoki, shouted out violently waking up he was covered with sweat, breathing hard, he was wide open. Gintoki rose to his feet and looked around the room. “It’s just a dream. I’m disappointed I woke up at the best moment ” Lazy stood up, washed his teeth dressed. He realized he was home only from Sadaharu, who was asleep, yawning down the stairs to the Otose bar at the bar, Kagura, Shinpachi, drinking juices. “ Kagura and Shinpachi, thank you for recommending this girl to me. She really works great ”

There’s something to be said about how quickly Gintoki had gone through his meal knowing there was a small plate of daifuku waiting to be consumed. He doesn’t look dissatisfied, in fact he looks genuinely happy devouring the meal Hinowa prepared, but his sheer joy of sinking his teeth into the sweet is so genuinely endearing that Tsukuyo has to look away.

Fandom: Gintama
Main Ship: Gintoki x Tsukuyo
Other Ships: Okita x Kagura

Hinowa was holding two cinema tickets for the selected movie. She won the tickets in a street game by drawing a golden ball. She was supposed to go with Seita, but Seita suggested that Tsukuyo should go and have some fun. Then the idea was born in her head that Tsukuyo should go, but not alone. Hinowa wanted Gintoki and Tsukuyo to go together, however, she knew well that the two would not agree. Gintoki is quick to convince. It is enough that Seita asks him and he will not refuse him. The only problem was with Tsukuyo. This is the biggest challenge for Hinowa. She knew perfectly well that her sister would try every excuse not to go. She had to come up with a strategy so that she could not refuse the first time. The woman raised her head and looked at the sun that was between the metal walls.

I can’t help it but share this fanfic! It is about Tsukuyo Sensei and Ginpachi Sensei by Ying @gettinyinggywithit. Thank you! I think this is going to be my favorite! She is immortalizing the Gintama Highschool teachers!

Smol canon Gintoki x Tsukuyo interactions because the Gintama App is saying goodbye so I am sharing mangacaps.

I love this couple so much, their relationship started from enemies and look what they’ve become. They can relate to each other’s pain, they saved each others asses numerous times already. They call each other by 1st name without honorific (they’re already 1st name basis during Yoshiwara arc!) Gin-san is comfortable around her and never fail to tease her whenever she shows up. And they will remain forever in my heart.
GinTsu is THE BEST SHIP - My Ship is so beautiful
This ship is wonderful, their development in the whole series is the best of all gintama couples. I stan GinTsu couple so much!!! I love them so much and l’ll always grateful sorachi Sorachi sensei for them!!!
“The Umbrella of Togetherness”
In Love Potion Arc, to think Sorachi Sensei really did write in this chapter (銀時) Gintoki x (わっち) Tsukuyo under one umbrella means a lot and it fuels the gintsu ship ❤️❤️❤️
They say 2 person sharing one umbrella — at the same time is a romantic imagery. And in this scene it was written under a drawn kasa - “傘” (umbrella).
And わっち or wachi means - (me / I) was used instead of Tsukuyo’s name (月詠). It is very unique because Tsukuyo is the only one who uses this classic accent - wachi. Leaving this symbol means so much and used everywhere by japanese gintsu fanartist 💕
