In memories of @qinniart who fought for her life and lived her best as an artist until the very end.

I haven't been spending much time on social media so I didn't keep up with any artist. I knew she was going through some health issues with her heart but I didn't realize she also had stage 4 cancer.

It's so surreal that I won't be seeing her art anymore. It's hard to process this sadness, like a bad dream you'd expect to wake up to. In the back of my mind I always thought I would see her post about her heart getting better one day, like you would expect a happy ending. It's not fair what happened.

At least she's no longer in pain. Rest in peace.

Elsa’s Secret Siren’s Call

Let me share something:

Did you know that each of us also has a secret siren’s call that only we can hear?

It is not mysterious like AH-AH-AH-AH lmao. It usually comes in the form of:

“I want to do it, but...”

“I can’t do it.”

“Maybe I should try it.”

You get the gist.

It is what distracts us and it is what sometimes keeps us awake at night.

Yes, we can hear it, yet we are afraid of following it because we do not want to risk what we have. We are afraid because we are comfortable. We are afraid of going into the unknown because it forces us to leave our comfort zone.

In Frozen II, despite all the fears, risks and uncertainties, Elsa decides to follow her siren’s call. She does not know what will become of her, but she does it anyway, and the result is incredible.

Now, we know that it is a Disney movie, so it will always have a happy ending. However, real-life is no Disney. We cannot possibly be sure if the result of following our siren’s call will always have the same effect like what it does to Elsa, but if there is one thing that we are guaranteed for doing so... it is growth. 

Have the courage to follow your secret siren’s call.
