Hello! I love your writings so, so much. You are one of my favorite yan OC writers 💓💓
I have a request for 2 drabbles: how would modern day!Taron and modern day!Aurelius initially meet the reader?
warnings|| blood, killing.
a/n|| tysm for your kind words, they really make my day! hope you enjoy ♡
you basically threw your things at your desk in frustration, once again your insufferable boss–taron–had made you come to work in the early hours, before even he arrive, you don't know why he's doing that, he's always getting on your nervs in the most dumb ways possible, making you redo your papers, making him another coffee as he throw the previous one in trash right in front of your eyes, flirting annoying you as you work, making you work extra hours, and now coming to work ahead of time.
being his assistant must be the most hell of a job in the world, you've tried to resign, quit, but then you couldn't find a single job that hired you, so you eventually had to come back as he was the only one who opened his company for you.
you hear footsteps come near you and you don't have to lift your head to know that it belongs to him, those loud–arrogant steps, he stopped in front of you, leaning a little to see your computer screen, you've learned to ignore his action so you can live in peace.
"do you always write this slow?" he asked suddenly. you paused for a second then took a deep breath before continuing to write on your computer ignoring him still. "ignoring your boss once again? what employee do this to their boss?" he said with a grin.
"one who's done with him" you mutter under your breath, making sure he doesn't hear you. he hummed in question at you which made you finally look at him "i get my work done, it doesn't matter how fast i type." you tried to say it as politely as you can.
"it does if it didn't finish in time." he said with a shrug. you smiled forcefully and it was really clear "I'll finish it in time."
"i hope you do" he said before walking to his office, all the other offices in this floor has glass walls that you can see through, but his was wooden with a huge black door that looked too fancy.
it's 10 p.m. and you were packing your things eager to go home, but all that quickly shattered when taron got out of his office "stay, i need you to do couple of papers more." he said in a VERY serious tone like this all wasn't maddening you to the point you were about to laugh instead of cry.
"it's past my working time! i did extra hours last week!" you snapped at him, but he looked at you boredly "i know and you'll do it again, it's not like you have something right now, do you?"
"yes i do! i have a date, please let me go this time I'll work extra tomorrow." you said desperately because you were not about to miss the chance at living your life.
taron didn't utter a word after what you said, he looked at you in mix of nervousness and shock, which you met with confusion "you got a date?" he asked calmly despite his expressions. you let out a breath of frustration "yes, so let me go."
he looked to the side with a frown, seemingly thinking it over, he pressed his lips together before letting out a sigh "fine go.", for a minute you looked at him shocked that he really let you go, but then you quickly gathered your things so he doesn't have the time to change his opinion.
as you vanished down the hall he returned to his office, anger filling his body, he ran his fingers through his hair in distress–walking to his desk, he threw the nearest vase in frustration, the sound of it shattering filled the empty building but he couldn't hear it above his shallow breathing and racing thoughts, a date you said...a date.
as if something struck him he quickly grabbed his keys and went running to his car hoping he can catch up with yours, the road was half empty, which made it easier for him to go past the speed limit and catch on to you, as soon as he got glimpse of your car he slowed down and started driving behind you slowly careful to not see him.
soon he saw your car stop in frot of a restaurant, he waited for you to get out and inside the building before he drove closer to see clearly.
your table was near the window, he could see you greeting your date, his grip tightening around the steering wheel to the point where his knuckles turned white, he let out a frustrated breath as he got his phone out and took a picture of the man, even if its blurry it should be enough for him to find more information of the person.
at 3 am he called you to come to the company, you were so close to just ignoring him but he said it was so important you just gave up and went. what you didn't expect is seeing the body of your date lying down on the ground in front of the company, swimming in their blood, their eyes and mouth were wide open yet there was no sign of life.
you couldn't even scream, you just stood there looking at the body in shock, then you felt a pair of eyes burn into you. you look around in confusion and horror, and then you catch them–his eyes, looking at you from above with so much disappointment and obsession it nearly brought you to your knees.
warnings|| death, hospital, medical terms, and anything that happen in a hospital. not proofread!
"here's your coffee." you set the paper cup in front of your colleague, who was focused on the patient file in his hands. he looked up at you with a smile "thank you." he said in alow voice–taking a sip from his cup before going back to the file.
"what's the case?" you open your file that was set in front of you, "a 65-years old male with scarred heart, he needs surgery as soon as possible because of his age." aurelius explained while looking at the ultrasound of the heart.
you let out a low 'oh' as you flipped through the file pages "it's a pretty drastic operation, has the cardiac surgeon decided if we should do it or not?", aurelius shook his head no "they said we'll have a meeting to decide soon."
in the end everyone agreed on doing the operation, they decided that they should get help from an external surgeon, the set date was a week later.
the surgeon came three days earlier so you all would have enough time to prepare yourselves.
the surgeon was a young man, despite his young age he had a big reputation for his work and success, he had a really good first impression, he was polite, professional—had good judgment and was really kind to the patient, you two quickly hit it off together, hanging out in the office or gossiping about patients—much to aurelius's dismay who was holding himself back from punching the man everytime he was a little too close to you.
by the time the surgery date arrived, he was so fed up that he entered the operation room with an obvious scowl on his face, he forced himself between you and another doctor, pushing them aside, he frowned at them as they looked at him confused so not wanting to get on his nerves they just step aside.
you were focused on adjusting the machines that were connected to the patient before the operation began, at first it went smoothly–no mistakes and no change in the patient's states.
you were sucking the blood with the suction machine when his bp spiked up, so the young surgeon held your hand to stop you—it was for the patient's own good, aurelius knew that yet he couldn't help himself when he slapped the surgeon's hand away, it was unintentional really, but god didn't it feel good despite the weird looks he was getting.
you retreat your hand and push the suction machine away as you all tried to stabilize the patient, but aurelius stood still, amidst all the room's chaos he was focusing on the man that lied down, and then slowly look at the surgeon–who was put in charge of this case so if anything happened to the patient he would get the bigger piece of punishment.
aurelius shouldn't think of that, he knew that he shouldn't, but with all the bent up frustration and the memories of seeing you so so close with the foreign surgeon got the better of him and like a snake he turned the ventilator off, no one noticed him doing it.
everyone was doing their hardest to stabilize the patient and aurelius pretended to do the same until he heard the heart monitor beeping one long beep that he stopped and looked at everyone, the ones who were in horror, the ones who the guilt was so evident on their faces, the surgeon who looked really scared, and then you who looked so stressed–evenif he felt guilty for that, just looking at you was enough to calm his racing thoughts...
an investigation was held on the case, the medical council interrogate every person that was on the case, and in the end the nurses and helper got suspended for a short period while the surgeons got their license revoked.
you were drowning in your guilt and sadness at your apartment, but no worries because aurelius is always here to cook for you, give a shoulder to cry on, and even clean! no need for thankfullness or repayment, as long as you'll be always available for him that's more than enough.
