CONNOR STORRIE for Cultured Magazine
ai is a bliss bestowed upon us for the sake of our bleeding hearts, that were severely damaged years ago by the most queerbaiting show in the history of mankind.
Created for fan purposes only, driven by the urge of restoring justice. Love the show, love these boys.
thank you heaven god bless us all
Being in fandom spaces is so surreal-
Bc once your age hits a 'serious' number, you start to think - "damn, I should probably stop geeking and get more serious." But then you scroll and see a 34y/o woman writing fics after driving her kids to school, a 40y/o dude making fanart of his fav super heroes and you realize - "nah, I'm actually good"
âi never see you at the clubâ ok well i never see you on ao3 at 2am reading about the same two bitches falling in love for the 1000th time in the 500th way
Why do the "let dudes be friends" ppl only ever say that about the gayest motherfuckers who have ever walked the earth??? So many good examples and good representation of dudes being pals, but you have to say this shit about the two men who stare at each other's lips for a living and clearly dream about each other at night???
FELLOW FRIENDS!
Iâd be so happy if you could check out my first zosan fanfiction on AO3 and let me know what you think about it.
The title is It tasted like salt and mint. In short: lots of introspection, lots of feels, lots of filthy sex. What else.
Summary (the real/serious one) :
Sanji knows that he is attracted to Zoro, but has always tried to ignore that inconvenient feeling, believing it to be impossible. Then, finally, something happens on Skypiea that will generate a lot of sex and many misunderstandings, putting both of them on a path of self-consciousness and reflection on the nature of their relationship.
Iâll see you there, nakamas (hopefully) â¤ď¸
NAKAMA!
3rd and 4th chapter are online. They are quite intense, not just for the filthy smut. Give it a try if you can â¤ď¸
5th CHAPTER POSTED
Check it out hons, thereâs fluff and smut
Benedict Cumberbatch talks about Sherlock and Martin Freeman
Interviewer: Sherlock, anyone knows Sherlock? Obviously, it has been wonderful, but you had said that being in Sherlock that was magic. Why do you think that?
BC: Um⌠It was a lot of things. It was Martin. It was a modern era take on it. It was Steven⌠first of all, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss took something they were obsessive fanboys over with total respect, and they crafted a modern version of it with huge (amount) details, hugely rewarding loyalty towards the original stories, but with a very witty plot twist. And I think it was also, you know, it was the dawn of Twitter, and this guy was on the internet, and John Watson was blogging. And I think there was a synchronicity where television became, you know, it was pre streaming. It was sort of a water-cooler moment made digital. And I think that's why it went global. And I, I don't know, maybe it was the part that had just been waiting for me at the right time as well. I just loved it. It was just a heck of a thing. And again, the mental geek a bit. He had to be in the digital space the equivalent of the computers. He had to have an AI speed so that he was speaking as fast as most people think, but very quickly. And that was an acting challenge, and also to some extent having him work on this character, how that fits in society now, where you have asexuals, autists, whatever those, you know, you know, whatever theories of those kinds of wonderful superpowers are, you know. And I think that spoke to a lot of people, that he had a superpower. And socially incredible also such a lot of people take pleasure of other people being vicariously rude or straight, or direct.
Interviewer: No filters for him.
BC: Yeah, no filters for Sherlock. And I think that is a part of his appealing. He's brilliant. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant mind.
Interviewer: What was the first time you walk around the street without being unnoticed?
BC: Oh, you know, it was a particular type of hair, which I don't normally have. You know, I have dark hair and I don't usually have it that long. When I just stepped out of some, you know, pre-production, it literally was that I'd go to the hairdressers and come out, dyed and with the shade, and people literally crack it and sort of, oh, Sherlock! Itâs him. It was the first time. And I remember when we were making it, Martin was already very famous from the Office. And when we kind of spent time with each other, started all sorts of, you know, people would sort of go, oh, this is Tim Canterbury! âYeah, yeah, I mean, he's being younger than me, doesn't he? Yeah, yeahâŚâ He just joked about it.
Interviewer: He's such a fun and nice guy.
BC: Yeah, he's great. He's very funny. One of the funniest human beings I've ever met. And just so inventive and brilliant. And he filled that role with so much nuances and care. He's a precision artist, he's technically brilliant, but he's also a musician I mean, he's got jazz in there as well as every other kind of music. He's wonderful to work with, and like I said, I think that was very early in my answer, that was a huge part of it - that chemistry - that I liked to be there really well.

happy zosan/sanzo day!đŤśđ˝
O my god I didnât survive this
what the FUCK did johnâs WRITTEN LETTER say to sherlock like what was he thinking about when he WROTE sherlock a LETTER like what the FUCK DID HE SAY??????? what was sherlockâs reaction? his facial expressions? did it hurt? what was the letter. WHY BOTHER MENTIONING A LETTER IF YALL AINT GONNA TELL US ABOUT IT. EVER. [storms off the ted talk stage] I WILL NOT SPEAK OF IT IN THIS TED TALK UNTIL MOFFTISS CONFESSES TO WHAT IT SAID. WHAT DID IT FUCKING SAY
Chekhovâs letter never came back.
Chekhov's Troll.
Perhaps I'm really late in noticing this, but no matter:
While looking for watches online, I came across Sherlock's Rotary wrist watch; he wears it throughout the show.
It's stunning, but more so because of a little detail that I saw by chance among the reviews:
Since 1895
1895!
Seemed like a lovely little coincidence, but Mycroft would say that the universe is rarely so lazy! Therefore, I'm assuming it's a deliberate easter egg and such a fitting one.
To have a watch - the keeper of time - be a reminder of the eternal constant in the Holmesian universe that is 1895, is perfect. It is indeed, always 1895. <3
it's been fourteen years but i still think of sherlock whenever i'm fumbling to plug my charger into my phone
Three Times - (2024)
Three times Sherlock and John couldn't resist kissing in the London means of transportation.
So, I was watching The Princess Bride yesterday
- correction: I somehow forced the movie on my friends yesterday (and they love me all the more for making them discover this gem).
And WOW, Moftiss are SO pulling a Princess Bride on their audience! Right now, most viewer are basically like the kid who is so upset at his grandpa for turning the story into sh*t - the mean prince is seemingly about to win, true love wonât save the day, Buttercup & Wesley wonât be reunited nor triumph, all this build-up about true love was apparently for nothing⌠The kid is mad at his grandpa for even beginning the story in the first place, telling him âyou are wrong, you must be! It canât beâ, âwhy were you even telling me this story?!â.
The grandpa (bless Peter Falk btw, I love him) keeps reading the book and we realise a few minutes later all these tragic events were all Buttercupâs nightmare (Buttercup = John, imo: heâs Sherlockâs âdamsel in distressâ, whoâs gotten engaged at a bad person when he thought Sherlock was dead).
When Buttercup wakes up, we hear the kid triumphantly claiming âI knew it! I knew it was wrong!â and the grandpa grumpily replies âYes, youâre very smart. Now, shut upâ before resuming the story.
Moftiss are making the audience mad on purpose, so they root for the real story: true love will save the day.
Series 4 is probably a sort of nightmare - mixing bits of reality with intense fear & insecurities => in reality, events will almost happen like that⌠but the end changes everything. Wesley/Sherlock & Buttercup/John will be reunited and kiss before the setting sun; true love prevails and saves everyone.
And the kid doesnât mind the kissing anymore. :)
