What if Tanya is the Sword from the prophecy and Eunseom the Bell?
During Asa Hon’s dream/vision we see Eunseom/Saya telling her that the child is cursed and if she wants to live she has to abandon him.
Now we can’t be for 100% sure if one of the twins is indeed Aramun Haesulla because throughout the drama we are given hints that it could really be Tagon, as he is Igutu and Eunseom is more of a reincarnation of Inaishingi. BUT! This would be a good diversion of events.
Not to mention Tanya was the one to connect to the horse, he wanted her to give him a name and so she did. And by the time Eunseom was captured into slavery again the horse pretty much decided he was weak and just left him there. (so he might choose Saya.) Not to mention Tanya is shown riding him at the very end credits, so .. it seems the horse chooses you, not the other way around. I guess you have to earn it to be on his back. And we don’t know if the horse will go to Eunseom or Saya.
I would go and say that it could be Tanya, but she is already a pretty well-established character as the direct descendant of Asa Sin and the one to confirm/recognize the identity of Aramun.
Now I don’t think it is THAT important which one of the three is which, but it could be a good diversion as Mubeak thinks Tanya is the bell. (Why tho? Because she rang a bell??) For such a complicated plot and story, this is just too easy and obvious.
So I looked into the hints we have in episode one:
Asa Hon’s vision after she and Eunseom enter Iark.
She sees the tree from her dream, she sees the flowers and the knife? that Tanya has. (The one made from an animal jaw).
The flowers and Tanya’s knife are quite symbolic as we interpret them as the sword from the prophecy and the bell. Why? Because the flowers resemble the bellflowers, which Eunseom is holding while Tanya is holding the knife, which resembles/symbolized the sword.
Then the boy from her vision tells her not to follow the one who sings, and the scene cuts to young Tanya staring at Asa Sin in confusion. And sure, we know that Tagon hums, but we also know Tanya whistle like a bird. So she is also someone who is considered to sing. The tie between the two (Tagon and Tanya) is quite interesting here because you don’t really know who this warning is about and what timeline exactly. Since the two of them come to quite the debates so far from the prophecy trio, Tanya has had the most political confrontations with Tagon. And the trio is supposed to be the one that ruins the world aka destroy Tagon. So far Tanya has been cutting him more than Saya or Eunseom. (Since Saya has served more as his advisor and has helped him shape his plans)
Episode six, ending states that 20 years ago 3 heavenly objects appeared together. Aka the birth of the twins and Tanya. The reincarnations of godly beings. Aramun Haesulla, Inaishingi, and Asa Sin.
(Not to mention that is has been alluded that only Inaishingi was strong enough to fight Aramun Haesulla. So this suggests that Saya and Eunseom are more likely to fight against each other, rather than join hands if we assume Saya is Aramun Haesulla and not Tagon or Eunseom. Which to me honestly is a valid point and I hope I am right.)
The bell to echo around the world: we are shown Tanya in the Fire Chamber ringing a bell. Convenient.
The sword to slay the world. Cut to Eunseom with a knife in his hand ready for a fight.
The mirror to illuminate the world. Saya’s reflexion in the mirror. Smart.
Now these things can be interpreted very differently but this is what I think:
The bell to echo around the world: to echo means a repetition or imitation of a sound. In our case the actions of our characters. It could suggest that the effect of their actions might be multiplied as it will be echoed and reach all the people.
Every action has a reaction is also a solid interpretation. Because Eunseom has been reacting to every action that has been coming his way.
The knife to slay the world reminds me of the scene in which Tanya was forced to give the order to kill/slay the people that were involved in the coup. She doesn’t need a real knife/sword to cut people. She already has a lot of power and people around her with swords to do it for her. If she manages to build the trust of people completely, as we see her with the kids and her fellow followers of the Asa Clan and even Yangcha, she could potentially make them her swords.
To illuminate the world would mean to shine a light on it and make it brighter and more visible. And who is desperate to go into the light? A legit quote from the drama? Saya! Who wants it to be known that he is an Igutu and so is Tagon? Saya.
I feel like they fit right into the characteristics of the heavenly objects.
And with the different views of both Eunseom and Saya, and their approach to things, it really seems like this is one prelude to their fight. Since Aramun is of Arthdal and Inaishingi of Ago and they fought once … this is pretty much the setting of their inevitable fight. Also, the end credits of the season (the animation) shows them meeting in a fight.
