Rio was starting the morning off doing exactly what he loved. The lake was almost perfectly still as he and a few people launched their kayaks off the beach and into the calm waters. Rio intentionally guided himself near the back of the group, knowing that people tended to enjoy themselves more when they weren't being micromanaged by their tour guide. Rio was just about to point out a bald eagle that was perched in the trees when he heard the unmistakable sound of a splash. Head on a swivel, Rio found the disturbance in the water, "Hold on, I'm coming!" Rio called out, guiding the kayak in the other's direction.

Rio loved hiking and finding people that enjoyed similar hobbies was no hard feat in Kismet Harbor. The two men had set off well before dawn, hoping to beat the heat on some trails just outside of Kismet Harbor. It wasn't so much a change of scenery as much as a change of difficulty. They had parked as the sun was beginning to rise, lighting up the trails enough for them to start. He had his backpack slung over his back, buckled at the waist to distribute some of the weight before turning to Josiah. "It's been a while since I've hiked these trails." He admitted to the man, "But I don't think we need to grab a trail map."

Rio's steps were steady as he made his way from City Hall. With it being his lunch break, Rio was taking advantage of the hotter weather to get a quick walk in. As he rounded the corner, Rio was met with two paws landing on his chest. "Whoa, there," his lips parting in laughter as he took in the sight before him. He immediately recognized the dog that the Cooper household was fostering. "Well, lookie who it is." He grinned, patting the dog on his head as he spotted Tomas making his way toward him. "Someone's got some energy today, huh?"

Rio opened up the front door of the home he shared in Emerald Mist with his wife and their dogs. "Honey," he called out in a sing-song voice. A typical greeting for the man as he was rushed by both of their large dogs in a greeting. He bent down, rubbing his hands through their fur for a few beats before he caught a glimpse of his wife. "Nico went to his new home and seemed to be having a great time when I was leaving." He pushed out his bottom lip in a pout. "Honestly, I was pretty offended by it," he said, speaking of their foster dog that just got adopted. "It's like all we did for him meant absolutely nothing, you know?" He continued to pout, though only for a beat before his smile betrayed his theatrics.

The sun had not yet started to rise and Rio was waiting in the parking lot with two cups of coffee. He'd made them at home, just before he left with his backpack filled with some breakfast foods that they could snack on one they reached their destination. With a headlamp strapped on, he had it on a low beam while, tipping his chin down so that he would not blind Lance when he arrived. Gravel crunched in the parking lot as another vehicle approached. It wasn't often that he were able to convince others to meet up before sunrise. Once he spotted Lance, he lifted his hand in a wave, though he were obviously standing there. "Mornin' Lance. I brought you coffee in case you hadn't had any yet."
