Ritva Westenius synonymous with the terms cut, simplicity and elegance has been sculpting, designing and creating haute couture wedding dresses in London since 1977. The foundations of the Ritva Westenius Brand being a loving, extraordinary, creatively driven family run business.

  Chenca Williams the head designer of Ritva Westenius oozes flamboyancy, theatricality and movement prevailing from her 35 years as a principal ballerina at The Royal Ballet. This translates into her latest 2016 collection where Chenca reasserts the parallel between her two different artistic licenses, both that accentuate and beautify the human form- bridal and ballet.

  The Ritva Westenius 2016 catwalk show is a final bow to Ritva Westenius herself. Presenting the everlasting graceful and simple designs reincarnated with a contemporary  refreshing twist. As ever movement is key. Chenca naming the newest collection the Pas de Deux (Dance for two) where each gown has a carefully handpicked inspirational name- Margot Fonteyn, Sylvie Guillem, Natalia Osipova, Tamara Roja & Antoinette Syblev.

  Versatility is key within the brand/core values of Ritva Westenius, thus several themes are presented. Sensual ultimate silk satins with handmade tulle ribbon work fabric, flattering in the right places- for the modern bride. Flirty open silk shirts, with a lace skirt. Billowing printed Kimonos that push the boundaries between high fashion and bridal, capture the theatricality of fluidity are used as a statement instead of a traditional veil.

  For the Elegant Bride, Italian Crepe gowns that are figure embracing & silhouette emphasizing.  That feature lower back-lines with hand embroidery bringing the creations to life. To the juxtaposition of flamboyancy, bigger A-line gowns that are made to pirouette in as either the box pleats or organza petals envelop the wearer.
