samuellarsen: seconds before hitting the stage in Winnipeg đđ
nealpercz:
âDude. That fucking bird almost took a shit on you.â
âHey, if you gotta go, you gotta go!âÂ
camilabeaumont:
A loud sigh left Camilaâs lips as she closed the magazine resting on her lap. âDo you think Chris Pine will like me if I dye my hair blond?â She had been reading about how people though he was seeing someone, so her mood was pretty down. âRiver, we should go to his house, sort of like an excursion! Maybe if you help me serenade him, he will finally propose!â
River blinked as he looked up from the book heâd been reading as he and Camila sat in the library. âUm...â He started, thinking it over. âI mean, maybe but why would you want to change yourself for someone? Especially someone you donât even know?â Really, he didn't understand his friendâs obsession with the actor, by Riverâs opinion there were plenty far better looking ones out there. âSure,â he laughed off her suggestion, âand then we can pay Hemsworth a visit... just go through all the Chrises till you get one.â
kelseydrvke:
Kelsey loved cosy environments. The feeling of familiarity that came with being a regular at a certain place was something she didnât have while growing up so, in a way, by having a favourite place she was filling that void â or attempting too. As she dug into her pancakes (most would argue it was a weird snack to have but when munchies attack, you have to fight fire with fire), she saw the waitress putting another plate in front of her. Swallowing the half-chewed piece of pancake in a hurry, Kelsey turned to the waitress. âExcuse me, I didnât order this!â she tried to say, before the man behind the counter told her it was on the house; pretty rad but she wasnât that hungry. Looking at the person walking right next to her table, Kelsey made them an offer. âHey, want some free pancakes? I swear, thereâs no catch.â The pink haired girl spoke, taking another piece of her snack.
Pancakes. That was exactly what the day called for and once River got an idea in his head, he tended to fixate on it. Of course not real actual ideas, but things like he needed a triangle for his percussion collection or to plant a fruit tree only to forget about it after two days. Pancakes and syrup was the current focus and he had a few coins to spare from busking earlier that day. Treat yourself! He thought as he waked into the place of choice. Normally heâd have been wearing headphones, but heâd left them at someoneâs house (he really needed to remember whose house, too) so the voice caught his attention. âFree?â he asked, looking to the pink haired source of the offer. âYou sure?â He asked, turning to face her properly, quizzical expression playing on his face. âWant some company?â It was the least he could offer in return for free pancakes, but he hoped it didnât come across as a weird thing to suggest.
adipng:
Adi rolled her eyes at the comment muttered by the comic book know it all that had just approached. âIgnore him, some of these guys are gatekeeping douchebags, but the owner tells âem off when sheâs here,â she explained, waving her hand at him when he glared in their direction. âBzzt - go back to your cave, Eric,â Adi tucked the comic she was reading under her arm and moved toward him until he scurried off to the other side of the store. She sighed and turned to the stranger heâd been annoying, leaning over to see if they had anything in their hands.âYou need help looking for something?â she asked, trying to be helpful.Â
Honestly, River had no idea how heâd missed the comic book store until that afternoon. Sure, comics werenât really his thing, but the store itself should have been enough to catch his eye before the one time heâd set out to have a productive day. Heâd printed off a bunch of resumes even though he was sure places just wanted them over email these days, and had set about getting a more steady incomeâeven a retail job would have been good. Instead, heâd stumbled across the store and stepped inside, and heâd quickly forgotten about his pile of papers, which also contained things like bank statements and the receipt for the repair his favourite guitar was currently undergoing. Without it, he probably wouldnât be able to pick it up from the shop. He wasnât one to get frantic, but if he didnât find them... âUmm... yeah...â he mumbled trailing off. Truth be told if the guy had been trying to insult him, River hadnât understood it (probably much to the otherâs delight, but he didnât really care). âNot to buy though. I put my things down and I donât remember where..â he explained, before turning to look at the person offering their help. âHi!â He added, his signature friendly smile. âDo you work here? Iâll buy something if you can please help me find them,â he said, never mind the fact that all his money was tied up in the aforementioned repair anyway.
â RIVER OLSSEN IS A 25 YEAR OLD LAYABOUT, LOOKS A LOT LIKE SAMUEL LARSEN, & HE IS ORIGINALLY FROM CYPREMORT POINT BEACH, LA đ
TW: divorce
Born to a visual artist father and a musician mother, River has always been a rolling stone kind of person. As a kid, his family moved around a lot and theories abound to where he was actually born, but he presumes it was some kind of beach town due to his love of surf and sand. A sweet soul who sometimes doesnât think before he acts, heâs always been quick to make friends (or so he thinks, sometimes people find him a bit odd) and try to find a place to fit in for whatever amount of time he has in one place.
Fairly easily distracted, he learned to play guitar as a child when his mother would leave hers out. Fascinated with guitars, he would toy with the tuning and the strings so much that eventually, one of those guitars became his to keep so his mum didnât continue picking it up to find it had been altered away from her liking. This eventually progressed into him finding other instruments to try his hand at and he amassed a collection of guitars, basses and percussion instruments mostly. Though he has no formal training, River has quite an extensive collection of songs he has written and flitted between bands, flexible with what role he took up (guitar, vocals, bass, drums, keys) in almost every town his family moved through. While he doesnât possess nearly as much talent for painting or other visual art forms, he does dabble from time to time. When his parents eventually broke up (âartistic differencesâ the told him, in an attempt to keep the mood light), he stayed with his mum.
Once he finished high school, he worked various McJobs while balancing basic courses at university though none really grabbed his interest wholly.  Moving to California seemed a natural move to him once heâd saved enough money. He loved his upbringing, but moving to one place on his own was the first time River experienced proper stability. While he scrapes by with the money he makes as a session player and busking musician, he is on the constant hunt for work (his current obsession is becoming a green grocer, though he previously was hell-bent on working for Subway until he actually did half a shift there and realised he didnât even get Sandwich Artist on his name badge) and love, be it platonic or romantic. A true people person, River is always looking to make meaningful connections with people, which sometimes leads him to trouble. He is fast to fall for a pretty face or a heartfelt laugh and that occasionally ends up in him over-romanticizing his place in peopleâs lives. River Olssen: Looking for love, friendship, job stability & a good time? Yes!! River OIssen: Capable of maintaining any of those things? âŠ. Questionable.
