kakashi and iruka scenes are few and far in between but the ones we do get are so intimate. like:
they're alone 90% of the time (on the bench, on the roof, in kakashi's office, in that hallway during the wedding episode, during the wedding itself, in iruka's office)
even when they're not, at least one if not both of them have their attention fully on the other (kakashi listening to iruka on the roof with hiruzen, with naruto knocked out in the back hills, at the mission desk, during chuunin exams nominations, in tsunade's office, painâs attack, vice principal convo in ichiraku, after the graduation exam in boruto)
they're either opening up to or helping each other in most of them (advice on the bench, sincere apology on the roof, tsuande's office with pakkun, during pain's attack, in kakashi's office about the wedding, conversation at the wedding)
there's usually a picturesque background/aspect of some sort framing them in these scenes (the bench with the sunset, standing under flowering trees, in iruka's office in front of a sunset, softer lighting in general)
THE TOUCHING AND BLUSHING AND SMILING AND GAZING. ALL THE TIME. EVERYWHERE.
Even the implied interactions they have in Kakashi Retsuden are like this. The sleep chakra point thing in particular (ESPECIALLY IT BEING ON THE BACK OF THE NECK-- like iruka was not teaching him all that in public, that happened in the privacy of one of their homes or offices)
not to mention the promotional/merchandising materials (of which there are too many to point out but im thinking about the sunflower field one in particular)

Stranger Things Finale and Byler
None of us are wrong. The Duffer Brothers, Shawn Levy, Netflix are wrong. This was the most elaborate queerbait in media history (My video). They are ones who embarrassed themselves and should be ashamed.
Instead of having Mike's behavior in seasons 3 and 4 be explained by internalized homophobia and a powerful, touching slow-burn childhood-friends-to-lovers queer romance, they decided to make canon Mike being an inconsistent, poorly-written ASSHOLE who was a terrible friend and terrible boyfriend for no reason. And they decided to feature Mileven, an awful model of a "healthy" relationship taped together by Will's love, as the show's "main romance," after all.
In an interview, the Duffer Brothers had the audacity to compare Will's love for Mike to unrequited "crushes" they had growing up. They required "realism" for the long-suffering gay boy who sadly said he was "never gonna fall in love." If this show is about "realism," then why did they make Mike a hetero male self-insert fantasy of a nerdy boy finding a superpowered girlfriend who you can satisfy simply by saying "I Love You" despite treating her like shit? El's line saying Mike has always "understood" and "seen" her, when he completely did NOT understand her, gaslit her, and made her feel like a monster in Season 4, was a travesty. He didn't even say "I love you" when she said she loved him before she died!
Why does Max get to have a boyfriend whose love saves her from Vecna? Why is there no sign that Robin is dating Vickie -- or any girl for that matter -- in the epilogue? (They even made Robin present as more femme as well! And in this scene, while we hear about all the other characters' lives, we don't hear about Robin's -- god forbid that it's gay!) Will never even got to fuckin KISS his epilogue date. Duffers: why do only straight people find love in your show? And why did you present us as "safe" and palatable for straight people? Why did you have Will ultimately assume his love was unrequited in advance, when you DID show hints Mike likes Will back and even had Will have a look of recognition when Robin talked about shared looks and bumps of the elbow? Why, after Will made clear he had a crush on Mike, NOT have them hug when Mike said they were best friends? Was it because that would've been too icky for homophobic viewers? Why did Will only plead with Vecna instead of use his powers to kick his fuckin ass? What's "gay empowerment" if Will doesn't ACT on being gay and doesn't use his POWER?
They absolutely built up hope that Byler would happen with how they wrote Mike, El, and Will's relationships, including first and foremost the Cyrano Trope where they had Mike fall in love with WILL'S painting and WILL'S feelings thinking they came from El. (Now that we know the end, they literally let a gay boy's sacrifice and love be what tapes together a straight couple.) And the mountain of other clues and how Mike clearly viewed Will differently -- "It's Hawkins, it's not the same without you." They planted easter eggs even into the last season -- having Ted smash down Mike's closet door, the gay sexual references, the blue and yellow swings -- that they knew Byler fans would catch on to. And all this time the creators never clarified that Byler wouldn't happen, in order to keep queer people watching. In my last video I asked: "With every choice you made, were you in fact LAUGHING at the LGBT+ people you were giving hope to? And opening up to ridicule?" They apparently DID. This was needless and cruel.
And still, Byler lives in subtext. All the evidence is that Mike has more-than-friend feelings for Will, and is grieving over the loss of his first love. And El's imagined happy ending did not include a romantic future with Mike.
And, after seeing comments, I rewatched Mike putting his D&D book next to Will's. Mike stares at Will's D&D book which takes up half the frame, and breaks down when placing his own book next to it. It was a nod to Byler. The Duffers never explicitly ruled out Mike having romantic feelings for Will in canon, and Will's painting is on his wall. It was cowardly, but Byler lives on in subtext.
BYLER IS REAL. It ABSOLUTELY is there. They just didn't make it canon. But they stoked in US a hope and fire that will not burn out. I'm sure there will be many MORE amazing fanfics that come out of this beautiful relationship that was prepared but not made canon.
It's my opinion -- and this likely might never be confirmed in a public statement, and might even be contradicted by the Duffers -- that the Duffers were preparing for Byler at the time Season 4 ended. There's just too much evidence for it to have been otherwise. And that at some point they chickened out: some internal power struggle occurred (with Netflix? with the Duffers future employer Paramount?), and the consolation prize is the subtextual ending we got.
They absolutely knew we exist and who we are, when they played David Bowie's "Heroes" during the credits. A song about forbidden love that society looks down on, which they didn't have the courage to actually portray. They gave lip-service to heroism, but weren't heroic themselves. Money walks and talks, and the Duffers SOLD OUT.
But no network corporate execs or the Duffer Brothers have the right or the ABILITY to dictate what WE do.
We will continue to live the lives we were destined to live, fictional shows be damned. If we can survive the dark ages of the 1980s, we can survive now. If Byler were canon, it would have been a fictional story after all. What would have mattered is what we'd have done with it after. BYLER LIVES: we'll create fanfics, we'll fight for the millions of Mikes and Wills out there to be themselves and find love. As far as I'm concerned, Will's moment at the end of Sorcerer is the canon conclusion of his coming-out arc -- not pleading for acceptance, but asserting his RIGHT TO LOVE. THAT is the fierceness of OUR COMMUNITY who has managed to fight and win the progress we have. We didn't need a Stranger Things when we rioted at Stonewall. We don't need a show to raise our fists and live OUR lives the way WE want to and WILL.
Take care of yourselves, everyone! And you are RIGHT to be angry!

Why is Will called a wizard & a cleric? [d & d/show analysis]
I wanted to discuss this because of a recent anon ask. And because many people joke how Mike says Will being a cleric is a huge plot holeâŠwhen I think itâll be revealed as the opposite. I mean-donât you think itâs strange that Mike calls Will a cleric but in the same season a scientist calls possessed-Will (a wizard)? For instance Mike in s2/comic specifically says âWILL is our CLERICâ. But in s3 we also see a tape that says âWILL THE WISE WIZARD mixâ (and in the comic Will says âwill the wiseâsâ clothes is obviously not for a cleric but a wizard) .
So whatâs the distinction?
Well⊠Will the wise (is a wizard -and what we know as the mindflayer) aka why the ep Will is possessed by the mindflayer is called âWill the wiseâ(and all the other evidence Iâm not getting into here) .To keep it short- I explained in my D.I.D analysis all the times Will in s1 used powers was possibly will the wise. At the end of s1 Will the wise became the mf. in d&d putting a slug in a human creates a mf (like the end of s1). And Will is just ⊠the boy-cleric we know. Of course, both are heavily linked, but they have different classes cause they arenât simply 1person. in d&d a mindfayer can be wizard (Will the wise) BUT a mindflayer canât be a cleric (Will).
Let me elaborateâŠ
Will the wise /MF (WIZARD)
in d&d Mindlayers can be an undead -wizards called (ALHOONs). So YES, IN D&D CANNON a mindflayer can also be a wizard too. And are undead like our zombie-boy.
Before we talk about the differences between the mf, wizard, and cleric letâs talk about the similarities first
1.Spells  Mindflayers, Wizards ,& clerics have in commonÂ
-p.s in this list when I say a mf has the same spell as a wizard, this is referencing a normal non-wizard mf who coincidentally has the same spell as a cleric or wizard. But if our mindflayer is a alhoon (wizard cleric)- technically he has all the wizard spells I list below as well.
âMONSTER SUMMONING (cleric & Wizard spell):âmonsters appear and serve the magic-user faithfully.â Monsters you can summon: include Mindflayer, dopplegangers (billy dopplegangers in s3), hellhounds (demodogs) ,zombies (flayed in s3), demons (in d&d demogorgans are a type of demon), chimera ( any mythical or fictional creature with parts taken from various animals-aka the flayed humans/rats merging to become the flesh monster). And the list goes on⊠possible forehadowing for vampires, thesylhydra, and dragons?â
SHADOW WALK (wizard spell) Dustin says the only way to enter the veil of shadows -the upsidedown - is to have this ability.Â
-in d&d being able to shadow walk means means youâre a âshadow magicâ user. âShadow magic was a type of Weave-based arcane magic that channeled power from the Plane of Shadow.â
- âshadow magic users can shadow walk,  are icy cold to the touch, have a âhound (demo dog) spellâ to scare foes, and were previously  between the line of life/deathâ-which made them more powerful). pretty much Will the wise/mf after being given CPR at the end of s1.
at one of the highest levels a shadow magic user you can cast âŠ
UMBRAL FORM (shadow magic spell) : âyou can transform yourself into a shadowy form!!!!â
official st promo pic before s2Â
Again when Will is possessed what is the episode called âWill the wiseâ.Â
remember the mindflayer is first called a shadow in s2/ âa giant shadowâ by Billy in s3. And in s1  mr clarke tells Dustin  the upsidedown contains ânecroticâ ( zombie-boy/alhoon-undead mf wizard ?) and âshadow magicâ (shadow monster?) While susie in s3 (references the book âwizard of earthseaâ) and tells Dustin for a character to save the world âGed has to confront the shadowâ
The book Is about a male wizard Ged who casts a powerful spell, but the spell goes awry and instead he releases a shadow creature! The new Archmage, Gensher, (wrongly)describes the shadow as an ancient evil that wishes to possess Ged. But the âshadowâ turns out to be a representation of the aspects of his personality Ged doesnât want to accept. And Ged and the shadow have to merge back together to save the world/stop the chaos.
one myth in d&d-shadow magic lore also reminds me this novel and of Will/will the wise. âThe Shadowking fought for control of a magic user, causing the magic userâs personality to split in 2, that new persona could control undead shadows. Finally, they were transformed bodily into the  Shadowkingâ. (Aka Will the wise became the shadow monster at the end of s1.)
I also need to mention in d&d the mindflayer ISNâT a shadow creatureâŠso i think changing this detail for the show was an important narrative choice. (To better connect it to Willâs shadow magic abilities from s1?)
LIGHTNING BOLT (wizard, cleric, mf spell): âThe bolt begins at your fingertips. The lightning bolt sets fire to combustibles and damages objects in its path.â*In s1 we see  Mike holding a drawing of Willâs- where Willâs wizard has lightning powers (coming from his hand). Will (the wise) in the comic has lightning come out of his hand. In s1 everytime Will (the wise) uses tech in s1, the phones explode and lighting appears out of them- hopper makes a BBQ joke about the burned phones.later in s2 the mf has these same lightning abilities and the lab technician makes the same BBQ joke.Joyce even describes the tunnels of the mf/ what Willâs draws as âlike lightning.â  We also see the russians eviserated by lightning in s3.
In Willâs journal (Will byers secret files) He draws the mind flayer with red lightning, and later  uses red paper to sketch clouds/lightning and pastes a picture of s1-Will on to it. Because Will the wise is the mf). Why we also zoomed into the will the wise drawings (during the s2 mf possession) and in s3 when Will at castle byers says the mindflayer is back-it zoomed on the Will the wise drawing as well.
MAGNETIC FIELD (Wizard & cleric):âyou can manipulate nearby magnetic fields to create a variety of powerful effects.â
*Mr clarke mentions how electricity (like Will the wise/mfâs powers) can create a magnetic field (which affects Joyceâs magnets). In s1 mr clarke also says opening a gate to an alternate dimension and transporting yourself to that world would take a huge amount of power, and this electricity would affect electro-magnetic fields . Later Dustin mentionâs how the gate- affects his compass and magnets-because of the gateâs affects on magnetic fields.
GATE (Wizard & cleric):âYou conjure a portal linking to a different plane of existence.Travel through the portal is possible only by moving through its front. Anything that does so is instantly transported to the other plane, appearing in the unoccupied space nearest to the portal.â We see El refer to openings to the upsidedown as gates- and open one in s1 and the s2 flashback and Will (the wise?) attempt to do so in s1
COLD SNAP (Wizard)- âyou banish heat from a targetâ (like how the flayed had lowered body temps)
FIREBALL (wizard &cleric) (the spell Will uses in s1)âA bright streak flashes from your pointing finger to a point you choose within range, where it blossoms with a low roar to engulf a single creature in searing flameââGREEN FLAME BLADE (Wizard spell)-remember Will the wisesâs green flame in s1):âOn a hit, the target suffers the attackâs normal effects, and green fire leaps from the target to a different creature of your choice that you can see within 5 feet of it. The second creature takes fire damage equal to your spellcasting ability modifier.â i still think Will the wise made that radio light on fire in s1 Heck Will the wise is even drawn with flames on his coat- he can cast fireball, etc.
SNARE ( Wizard spell) âThe caster creates a magical snare out of any flexible vine, to ensnare a creature that steps within it.â Clerics have a similar spell called âGRASPING VINEâ. Also interesting that snares irl are hunting devices (like Lonnie and teaching Will to hunt.)
DETECT MAGIC (wizard& cleric):âsense magical creatures in close proximity to yourself.â (we saw that with Will in s3).
FORESIGHT ( wizard & cleric ): âgranted the caster powerful warnings about the futureâ. (Will about the demogorgan, and the zombies/flayed in s3, and technicallly in s2 he also said Hopper is âgoing to dieâ-which was œ true in s3).
MODIFY MEMORY ( wizard/cleric spell):âYou attempt to reshape another creatureâs memoriesâ. (mf taking Willâs memories in s2)
PLANE SHIFT (wizard, cleric, mf spell):âto banish an unwilling creature to another plane of existence.â Like we see happen to human characters in s1 (Will, Barb, hunters), billy in s3,etc
DOMINATE PERSON (wizard & cleric ):âWhile the target is Charmed, you have a Telepathic link. You can use this Telepathic link to issue commands to the creature , which it does its best to obey. â (pretty much what the mf did to Will, billy, and others)
TRUESIGHT ( wizard & cleric) [like Mike said Will had in s2]: âIt allows you to see into the Ethereal Plane and other coexistent planes.â (Will seeing the upsidedown). Similar powers are scrying & arcana eye.ARCANE EYE(wizard & cleric):âYou create an invisible, magical eye within range that hovers in the air for the duration. You mentally receive visual information from the eye, which has normal vision and darkvision .The eye can look in every direction .â(sounds similar to what we saw in s2 with the mf -finding Willâs loocation at the byerâs house).SCRYING (wizard &cleric):Scrying was both an arcane and divine magic spell that allowed the caster to view a subject at great distance and possibly across the planes of existence. The effect was very similar to using a crystal ball but with differences in scope, duration, and components (like him tracking Hopper to the cave).
