Yellowband Society ❀ Yien + Minha
Grace was always saying that she was trying to be healthy and stay in shape. Yeah right. Whenever a cup of ice cream disappeared from the freezer, everybody in the Tuan family knew who to blame; Grace. So, of course, when this place in Hongdae announced this promotion she had had to go there. It took her two trips there to finally get matching bracelets. Which meant that she paid twice in order to get her 50% off. Yien just couldn’t understand her logic and resonating with her was nearly impossible. He was sure that his older sister knew how wrong she was already, she just had too much pride to let Yien scold her. In the end, he inherited a yellow bracelet (that she didn’t need) and a stormy dramatic exit from his sister. She was the one who had asked him to meet her in Hongdae after finishing his training and now she was leaving him there alone without a car.
Siblings.
That’s how Yien ended up in a café. He was hungry and tired and needed a boost of energy to head back home. Bus or taxi, he wasn’t sure just yet. The teen was playing with the yellow wristband while waiting for his order and pondering about how he would get back home. Hopefully, he thought, Grace would get off her drama queen mode and come back to take him home. Hopefully.
The waitress finally came back and the young put the bracelet down on the counter to pay. He then grabbed his order and headed to the first free table to enjoy his small treat, completely forgetting the yellow wristband still on the counter.
Minha slips from the backroom quickly and quietly. Hoping to draw the least amount of attention as possible. After this last order she fully intending to wait out the last few minutes of her shift in the quiet solitude of the kitchen. Avoiding the customers at all cost and leaving the other waitress to deal with any of the last minute stragglers that were bound to come in. But before she could do that, she first had to serve her last customer.
With hurried steps Minha crosses the floor and makes her way to the counter, placing the warm croissant and coffee down in front of the patron. The money exchanges between the two and Minha slides it into the register drawer in a hurry, before uttering a quick "Have a great night" to the male.
Turning hastily Minha grabs a cloth and begins to wipe the counter down , the last step before her freedom.Or so she thought until something caught her attention. On the counter to her immediate left laying all alone- was a yellow wristband that looked almost identical to the one she had stashed in her pocket. "what in the world" she mumbled as she glances around for it's owner, and spotting the male she had just served taking an empty seat.
"Hey" the female calls out as she crosses around the counter making her way towards the male. "Hey, I think you may have forgotten this at the counter" she says extending her hand out to the male, offering him the yellow wristband. "I'd hate for you to lose this- after all - you just might be the only other person in all of Korea with a yellow wristband - well besides me" she chuckles before patting her left pocket.
As soon as the words slip from the r girls lips a thought popped into her head. “This might be weird, but are you planning on heading to Macaron tonight by any chance?” she asks, hoping that she wasn't coming off too creepy.
