📍Meteora Greece 🇬🇷

I bet you’ve never heard of this place in Greece!

Okay maybe you have, but if you haven’t, welcome to Meteora, located in Northern Greece Between the 13t and 14th centuries, twenty-four monasteries were established atop the rocks. Access to the monasteries was originally (and deliberately) difficult, requiring eithe long ladders lashed together or large nets used to haul u both goods and people. This place is also home to Theopetra Cave, the oldest known example of a man- made structure! I had wanted to visit this place for five years and finally I got to see it with my own eyes last summer. What an incredible place!
