I don’t usually post things this messy, but I really really want to explore the idea of maid V being a tad bit sassy, explosive (as much as is able to be in the manor that is) & emotionally drained with this sort of numbed anger beyond her cute shy demeanor
this stems from the fact V tends to mask as a form of protection & we see this very clearly through her arc on copper-9, where she initially portrays herself as a bloodthirsty violent & uncaring killer until we see her layers peel away. This is that, but in the other direction. portraying herself as a demure polite maid when there’s a more unstable core inside waiting to be let out, both of these have glimpses of V, but neither of them are truly, authentically her, & in the end she finds the balance of Herself
Trauma absolutely changes a person but its plausible to believe all of the “new” personality/traits V has already existed inside of her, but buried and only let out when it was safe (which was rarely, maybe she did lash out once and was sent to the swamp. She made sure it would not happen again) that she took the same method of protection but in the other direction. & I like the idea of this being why cyn chose her first. She didn’t make V like this, V always had it in her. The urge to hurt & tear. Cyn only gives her the ability to actually manifest it. At the cost of Everything Else
