Bye bye Apple watch, hello tech-tattoos

Wearable technology takes a step closer.
Iâve seen talk about this on multiple social media sites now, but never really read into it. This is pretty sweet! Itâs crazy to think about how far technology has come even in just in our relatively short lifetimes.
Thatâs crazy! Definitely something to keep an eye out for!
Bio - tech tattoos seem really futuristic and out there compared to the general wristband such as the FitBit! I would definitely give it a test run and see how it works out!
What, When, and How to Post on Social Media
Very insightful article. Too many companies/corporations who arenât successful in regards to digital marketing attempts is because they do not know what or how to post. These are easy ways you can ask yourself if the post is worth while!
Love this article on how to properly use social media! It has a lot of great insight on how to leave a good impression on social media.
Love this! Goes over how to really use social media in a promotional and helpful way.Â
Want to make it big on social media? Follow these steps and youâll be well on your way.
This is something everyone should keep in their back pocket for when posting on social media.
These are great tactics to utilize for each of the different social media platforms in order to get your message out at the right time!
"Before you and your business jump on the blogging bandwagon, consider these seven guidelines for business blog success." 1. Fine print. 2. Know what you're doing. 3. Create blogging policies. 4. Avoid the marketing blog. 5. Keep it fresh. 6. Reinforce the company's core values. 7. Encourage employees to use it.
Balance Your Media Diet!
Practicing good nutrition keeps your mind sharp, your body fit, and your life long. The same could be said for consuming media. (Seriously, knowledge is power.) When you add it all up, the average American spends roughly nine hours a day glued to some kind of screen, and like your diet, quality is as important as quantity. Here are some suggestions servings for optimal media health.
It is crazy to think that we spend an average of 9 HOURS per day occupied by technology and social media. We are becoming less connected with other people and our surroundings because of this âmedia dietâ we have all gotten accustomed to.
During these 9 hours, we spend about 1.25 hours on social media, making for a smaller window for social media marketers to grab the attention of scrollers. That being said, marketers need to be strategic about what, when, and where they are posting in order to trigger consumer interest and engagement.
The amount of time spent occupied by technology is disturbing! I know for myself that the 9 hours is pretty accurate. I use technology in class, at work, doing my homework, and of course you canât forget the hundreds of social media breaks in between. As I continue working towards my HR degree I need to not only focus on the developing technology but how to incorporate personal interaction within an office! Crazy to think that we have to âtake time out of our daysâ to interact with people in person.
I agree that it's crazy to have to take time out of your day away from technology to collaborate with ours. I miss the days the only way you knew where the neighborhood friends were at, just by the pile of bicycles in the front yard of someone's house!!
People with passion can change the world for the better.
Steve Jobs (via forbes)
Going off of Steve Jobsâ quote, it is important to do something you love and are passionate about. First off your career field is something you most likely will be surrounded by the rest of your professional life. Choosing something that you truly care about will allow yourself to put in your full potential into creating solutions and new ideas to help out your career. I know my passion is working with people. Whenever given the opportunity I always volunteer myself to be the face of the company, group, organization. etc. I understand how important first impressions are and I want everyone to feel welcomed and comfortable wherever I may be. I also know a passion of mine is helping people out. I originally wanted to be a teacher to help children learn and develop. Now as I head down the human resource management career pat, I will still be able to teach people and help them develop just on a different level. My passion for working with people will help me tremendously in my chosen career field. Not only will it help me succeed, it will also help me enjoy what I am doing. I will feel as if my efforts are making a different.Â

Poor Performance Management
Sooner or later you will have an employee who is not performing. Many managers choose to ignore the warning signals. By doing so they are building up future problems. Deal with it early on, stating clearly the standards expected, where the employee is falling short and the improvements required. Make sure everything is written down and agreed with the employee. In tricky or complex cases seek advice from the Human Resources Department. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/741326
Itâs in our hands.
Anheuser-Busch is a company who seems to really feed off of social media. Anheuser-Busch has a lot of different beers: Bud Light, Budweiser, Michelob, Busch, Ultra, specialty brews and seasonal beers. However, Iâve noticed that Bud Light is often posted about more than their other beers. I think Bud Light became my beer of choice through the posts I have noticed all over my social media, commercials, and various advertisements. Enjoying the taste has also persuaded me. However, I may not have ever paid attention to Bud Light if I did not see it around so often. I may have stuck with Miller Lite or gone for Corona instead.
With all of their social success though, they also face the challenge of managing their brand on the social web. For the past several years Bud Light has been aiming to gain younger beer drinkers as they are âmore promiscuous in their brand choices, than preceding generations,â Eric Shepard, the executive editor of Beer Marketerâs Insights, stated. While they are seeking the younger generation though, they have to maintain loyalty among all of their customers and not only focus on one group. Therefore, there is a new Bud Light design that will be appearing in the spring of 2016 that is more of a authentic design. This could appeal to older generations as well. Seems like a good idea to me, more of a step forward. For instance, Miller Lite brought back an old can design from the â70s last year, but thatâs what all companies seem to be doing; recalling the past. Personally, I am losing faith in society having the ability to come up with anything new anymore. Bring back what was cool in the past, but eventually lost itâs sensation, and now making it cool again is getting old to me. Â
Gaining a younger, more promiscuous crowd has brought its failures, however. In April, 2015 Bud Light hit their consumers the wrong way in an advertisement. âThe perfect beer for removing âNoâ from your vocabulary for the nightâ was the message posted on a Bud Light bottle. Many saw this as a message that somewhat encouraged rape and sexual assault as many cases involve alcohol as a rapistsâ tool to take advantage of their victims. This advertisement was not intended to encourage irresponsible behavior. It was intended to encourage spontaneous fun, which is their promotion in their Bud Light Up for Whatever campaign.
Speaking of their Up for Whatever campaign, that is a large reason why I started drinking Bud Light. They did well, the videos and pictures looked like a blast. Drinking the right amount of alcohol is a blast. Therefore, why wouldnât I want to be up for whatever? Especially when with a good group of friends. It is the campaigns second year now and I feel like it is promoting light-hearted fun more than disrespectful behavior than the add above may have condoned.
In the end, the amount of alcohol consumed and the behavior that follows is in our hands. Yes, companies may need to think a little harder about the perception they could be sending out, but that is what is in their hands. They have their own brand and we have our own brand. What we do with it is up to us.
I donât know how I chose Bud Light but it is my brand of choice for several reasons - mostly because I spent a few years as a merchandiser for AB - but I remember the PR nightmare that came from their Up for Whatever campaign and was pretty bummed. I think, as you said, it was meant to encourage spontaneous fun but got taken the wrong way. I thought their Pac-Man commercial was awesome! I donât know how I feel about their new advertising style though.
Thatâs awesome that you worked with them. I imagine it would be a pretty fun work environment! I agree though, I am not sure about the new advertisements. They are somewhat making fun of the politics going on right now. However, having those who donât pay attention to politics see their new style could be reminding them of the real campaigns going on. So it could be a good strategy. Only time will tell.
Both of these are really interesting and awesome! I did a project back in Jerry's BIS101 class on AB

Just the sight of Jon Taffer will send people running due to his extremely successful managerial experience and background!
One of my life goals is to own my own restaurant/bar. I am a huge fan of Bar Rescue show with John Taffer. I am inspired by his way of managing both the business and the people who work there, including the owners. Taffer insists a bar or restaurantâs success is not about the food or drinks they serve. âWe serve reactions,â he asserted, âwhoever creates the biggest reaction wins.â Taffer considers bar ownership âa noble causeâ because we âprovide smiles.â
To Become a Restaurant Owner
Health inspectors are not the people you want on your bad side. After having the experience to witness a general manager at a pizza restaurant deal with a health inspector while they were conducting their duties, the manager should have had a better attitude towards them and they would have had a chance to clean things up and stay in business. 7 Tips for working with health inspectors: 1. Be polite and professional. 2. Correct mistakes as soon as possible. 3. Demonstrate progress. 4. Be proactive. 5. Get involved. 6. Share your food safety plans. 7. Seek inspectors advice.
