i think ppl in the imperial core especially need to stop thinking of things like petitions as communicating our wishes to our politicians, and start thinking of them as threats by which we enforce our demands
a petition or a demonstration etc isn't inherently useless but it has to be conveying an action threat. otherwise what the hell is the point of having numbers, no one cares if a huge swathe of people are just going to sit silently being really mad. we need to think of these political displays as the thing that precedes and threatens about the action, not the end goal in themselves

[ IMG READS: 'Microsoft killed my online life,' Microsoft is reportedly banning Palestinians in the U.S. for life for calling relatives in Gaza.
A BBC investigation reveals that Microsoft is permanently banning Palestinians in the U.S. and other countries who use Skype to call relatives in Gaza. /END OF IMAGE]
On a separate note, I think it's worth posting this article as well titled Microsoft killed my online life after I called Gaza.
"Remember how long you've been putting this off, how many extensions the gods gave you, and you didn't use them. At some point you have to recognize what world it is that you belong to; what power rules it and from what source you spring; that there is a limit to the time assigned you, and if you don't use it to free yourself it will be gone and will never return."
