this isnt related to the jarrich dynamic you talk about, but my high school buddy 10 years ago wrote a few sentences long jarrich fic where Jared is watching birds and Richard also identifies a bird and Jared gets an erection. Basically silicon valley is in the San Francisco Bay area, which has a really important habitat to birds "The San Francisco Estuary is a critical migration stopover and year-round home for hundreds of thousands of shorebirds, waterfowl, and waterbirds. Key habitats like tidal flats, salt marshes, and managed ponds support indicators such as the endangered California Ridgway's Rail, American Avocet, and Western Sandpiper. The estuary's birds are highly dependent on specific micro-habitats and seasonal variations" so I think Jared would visit the different marsh nature preserves in the SF bay area to go birding

This is so adorable I love this.... Love Jared having sexual feelings about birding. Reminds me of an AU a friend & I came up with where Jared meets a teen Richard on a birding forum and starts trying to groom him. Of course I immediately connect a normal Jarrich idea to grooming LOL but re: dynamics I do enjoy many different interpretations of them, part of the fun is how many directions you can take them in due to the amount of throwaway lines & gags & stuff that individually can be easily ignored but have insane implications if you take them seriously. You can pick and choose what to put under a microscope and come away with a totally different relationship for each combination. In a way they are everything all at once. Certain readings have a lot more basis in the text than others, and I prefer certain readings over others on a personal level, but at the end of the day it's a goofy satire and no one involved took Jared and Richard's relationship anywhere near as seriously as I do. Except maybe Zach Woods. Anyway. Man I wish I could read that little fic
