I went backpacking for my birthday this past weekend. On the way up to the trailhead, my windows were down and an animal screamed/screeched (what sounded like) it was right in my ear. I didn't really look back, but it sounded like a cat's angry meow. It must have been right near the treeline on the forest service road. I was in the North Cascades around 3,000 feet elevation. Any idea on what it could be?
