Finistère region of France and the Island of Ouessant, at the extreme West of the country. Finistère is for “fin des terres” meaning “end of lands”. It’s a beautiful place and one of the wildest in continental France with beautiful beaches, lots of dramatic lighthouses and a changing weather that makes for beautiful sunsets!

Rediscovering my own country this summer and spending July in the Drome region, a unique place between Provence with its flower fields, the Rhône and its wineyards and the mountains of Vercors :)

Colors of winter in Northern Norway

Kvaloya, Norway

It’s been a while since I posted here but I’m back in Norway chasing northern lights so here it is! I haven’t had any luck with northern lights yet because of the very cloudy/snowy weather but the landscapes are still breathtaking with the very mysterious lightning of the polar night. And I kind of like the monochrome and almost abstract quality of some of my images :) (Still keeping my fingers crossed for northern lights though!)

Iceland has a lot of abandoned and/or very remote places. Combined with the often dark, misty weather, it creates quite the mysterious weather. The first one was close to Borgarnes, the three other were on the Westfjords, the wildest, most remote part of Iceland. To access that church on the third picture, we had to take one of the worst mountain road I’ve ever taken (probably where we lost part of the deposit on the rental car :D) Fun fact, we were there in June but even though the Sun technically didn’t pass under the horizon, the weather was so bad we barely ever saw it :D

It’s getting hot and kind of suffocating again in France so I’m looking at my Iceland’s pictures from June 2018 for a bit a fresh air. I miss the wind, dramatic skies and deserted places (And I’m very ready for autumn to be here :D)

Midnight Sun in Finnish Lapland.  I still miss the colors, fresh air and the reindeers. (Not the mosquitoes though)
