Scott could feel it. The beast rising in his chest, the world flickering in and out around him. He felt defensive, for reasons he didn’t understand, but against his own will his claws itched to break through his skin, and his throat tightened with a roar he refused to release. Inhaling deeply, he tried to steady himself. You’re freaking out, it’s not real... He tried to convince himself, but the fire inside of him still grew.
