“When you look like that,” Katherine shrugged, letting a devilish smirk fall onto her lips. There were quite a few girl’s throughout Beacon’s Harbor that she had developed fashion banter with. For a town filled to the brink at fashion week, the epidemic of taste didn’t catch on. “I don’t see them ending anytime soon, sweets.”

“ There’s nothing wrong with the way I look, ” Davina said, shaking her head -- though a red blush crept up her cheeks and she tugged at a brown curl, frowning slightly at it -- it was her insecurities at their finest. “ --- sounds like a personal problem. ”

“Y’know what? Just – don’t worry about it, I got it,” Lydia told the smaller girl in front of her, bending down to pick up her books. “You should probably just watch where you’re going next time, and you’re incredibly lucky I didn’t have my usual mug of coffee with me.”

“ If you say so -- ” Davina told the redhead easily, collecting her own things. She was the sort girl who did as people asked. “ I’m sorry, again. I guess I should count my blessings. Now -- damn, I missed my slot to visit my counselor. ”

“Don’t worry, senior year – most of it is a breeze. I can understand prepping, though. I do it every year, even though Faye always makes fun of me for doing so. I think it helps.”

“ I hope so. I still haven’t picked my classes yet, so it’s all a blur of what’s too come. I won’t over do it with like, six AP classes though -- or at least -- I’ll try not too. How do you prep?? Are you and Faye close?? ”

“Someone’s got quite the bite today,” Kat laughed, brushing a long, curled lock behind her ear. “You know, I really think a less pretentious attitude might look good on you,” her voice mused, grabbing an array of credit cards and jewelry that had fallen out of her purse. “But I do have a tendency of always being wrong.”

Davina cocked a brow at the other brunette, her mood not really the greatest at the sight of the woman. She remembered their last interaction -- it hadn’t exactly been what the young junior would call enjoyable. “ Do you always have to comment on my appearance?? ” she asked, a more rhetorical question than anything.

“I don’t know why they act like we’re going to us this stuff. I don’t know what I’m doing with my life, but it’s not going to be chemistry. But yeah, I’m a sophomore at Devenford. I used to go to Beacon but yeah. Oh, blowing stuff up is great. The lab reports on said explosions suck.”

“ It’s to experiment. Some of us might become Chemists -- how are we supposed to know if we don’t try it?? I do think the school system over does it. Forces a lot on us, if we’re not good at core subjects -- they’ll call us incapable which is ridiculous. But... ” Davina shrugged, trailing off. “ You transferred schools?? Luckily, Chem teachers aren’t English teachers. They’re just looking for the facts. It’s easy to fake it with some big words. Anyways, I go to Beacon. I’m saying a lot, but -- if you ever need help, I hang out in the library sometimes. ”

“ You poor baby, ” Davina told Stiles teasingly, shaking her head at his antics. “ I never said it’d be easy. ”

“All of it,” Katherine’s voice snapped back, mixing a hint of sarcasm with annoyance. “I take back any thought that you could be a waitress,” her eyes rolled. 

Davina put her hands up, a look crossing her young face that didn’t o so open. “ I’m not a waitress, ” she murmured; defending herself and nothing else, also picking up her own things.

Jeremy’s surprised noise was probably the least manly thing that had ever come out of his mouth, but it was quickly covered up with laughter as he dropped down to his knees to start trying to separate their things. “It’s all innocent sketching stuff,” he told her. “Don’t worry about it, D. No witchy hunting objects. Are you alright?”

Davina shot him a small smile at the noise that came out from her old friend, she shaking her head. “ You come up with anything new?? ” she asked curiously, her hands itching to flip through his sketchbook -- but the brunette knew how to respect privacy. “ Thanks for the tip. I’m fine, don’t think I even bruised. --- can I look?? I’ll let you look at my stuff. ”

“Is it bad if I say I don’t know the name of it? It’s the equations and stuff. Like, balancing them? I don’t know. I made something blow up the other day, but it was on purpose, so there’s that.”

“ --- nah, not at all. I got away with an A in that class and I don’t remember a single thing from it besides the fact that I should probably wear gloves when touching unknown substances. So you’re a sophomore, right?? Making things blow up on purpose is fun -- writing about it is... tiring. ”

Her bluntness brought an instant smile onto his lips. That was, in fact, very true. Enzo grabbed the arch of his nose, shaking his head with musingly low laughter. “Well then I am absolutely charmed,” his voice held a slight chuckle. “Sidelines isn’t the worst angle either,” Enzo teased back. “You’ll have a role to play eventually.”

And cue something of a smile and smirk from the little witch at his comment, she only shrugging at his reaction. Davina tended to be a girl who was blunt when she was comfortable, not wanting to play around. “ And the same goes to you. ” The brunette shrugged again, her fingers tracing against the patterns of the table. “ I’m sure I will... not sure how I feel about it. It’s a bit of a wild world out there. ”
