"The Icon Handbook" by Jon Hicks looks great. Must add to my reading list. Hit the title link for a sneaky peak.
Make sure you add in some click tracking, screen recording and heat mapping software to add to the data you are seeing in your standard google analytics package - hit the title to follow the link.
Do Merill Lynch not realise the Chrome browser has over 1/3 market share?
Visit www.ml.com in chrome or visit this page direct to see what I mean.
I like the way they use 'Bad Browser' in the URL too... Google, are you listening? Your browser is bad! Apple, sorry your browser is bad too.
Apparently we need to use IE5 or Netscape instead.
Merill Lynch - you may want to stop using a browser detection script - this is not the 90's.
Stats: Browser market share on Stat counter and W3schools
UPDATE - Looks like Merill Lynch have been prompted to making the fix (I'd love to take the credit). I wish I had taken a screenshot of the page now - It just looked plain stupid for 2012!
Another good example of a data-exchange piece. In this case, a share to get the document call-to-action
Example of value exchange for an item. In this case an email address to get a document/resource. The follow-up email sequence works well too.

What does a digital strategist do?
Oooo, the suspense "was" killing me!
Visit the URL now .... They are out of time and only 60% complete.
Lesson learnt: Don't set a count-down unless you know you can meet your own deadline.
RIP Google Adplanner
Sadly Google is withdrawing the decent part of Google Adplanner - the ability to look at the demographics of visitors to pretty much any website on the interwebs.
You can still view profile data about sites in the GDN (Google Display Network) but that is only helpful for digital media planners using GDN... not alas for the rest of us who used it for understanding the demographics and profiles of web visitors within a neighbourhood or competitor-set.
As a sort-of-replacement, try the IAB directory.
