warmup
The DAU: Fire dragons are classified into micro dragons and cave-dwellers. Micro dragons resemble typical birds, but are flightless and slightly larger, never growing taller than the knee.
In order. Pes Raptoris - More commonly known as the snake killer. Powerful strikes of the leg render its prey disoriented. Long claws enable it to ward off incoming hits. This dragon, primarily a desert wanderer, has the unique ability to eat virtually anything it can fit in its beak.
Halszkadrac. Inhabiting particularly warm climates, these dragons hide in ambush amongst flowers, luring in unsuspecting insects with their vibrant colours and sweet smell. Remus Raptor. These dragons feed on snakes and smaller dragons- even their own kind. The Remus Raptor is distinct for its nesting grounds- they nest within a volcano, and promptly abandon their buried eggs. Picking the right nesting spot is vital. They are entirely dependent on the volcano's inactivity. The eggs are incubated in the ground surrounding them, but eggs are not fireproof. A nest too close will cook the young inside the eggs.
The DAU: Draconics that are of the frosted variant never tend to grow higher than your hip. At least, ones that are documented. Frosted variants are classified by their long, proud manes and flightless builds. They are not typically carnivorous- rather, omnivorous.
The Nubis dragon. This species has evolved for camouflage, and the antlers on their heads, when not used in courtship, are passable for branches and fool even the smartest predators. But in the harshest winters, Nubis dragons use their antlers not as a mimicry of branches, but as a way to shake the leaves of a nearby Sanies tree. Sanies flowers are a source of nutrition for the Nubis dragon when all else is scarce.
The DAU : Dragons hailed from the ice have two variants: frosted and tidal. Tidal dragons are sleek, slim, and can grow to sizes unfathomable on land. It is said their hide forms the ocean floor, but until now, that has only been a rumor...
