It would be so easy to do wireplay with a robot girl in public. Nobody knows what the different cables do, you're probably just fixing some issue with her, why else would you have your hands in her chassis?

That whirring from her fans is probably just because of whatever issue you're fixing, if she looks embarrassed or tense that's probably just because she's self-conscious about having her internals exposed in public. Plus robot emotions are weird, no one every really knows what they're thinking. If she cries out or twitches that's just a robot being weird. In New City, all droids were once created entirely agender. While many choose to stay genderless, some envy humans to the point of transitioning, either via third-party aftermarket body shop modifications, or simply socially.

There were once laws in place to prevent manufacturers from creating human-like droids, because their technology was at the point where you simply would not be able to tell the difference between a real human and a droid. They completely surpassed uncanny valley, and the general public really seriously wanted to avoid getting confused.

That being said, most droids in New City are designed to be either cute for frequent human interaction, industrial for workforce purposes, or novelty collector's items (one such example being SOBA).

The Display 3 Sleek edition fell into the workforce category, built with a capacity for quick, on-the-job problem solving. They sported basic LED indication and vocal components, and a wide-angle sensor array on their "collarbones", giving them a "sixth sense" in a 180-degree front angle to avoid accidents in dangerous work conditions. They are more sophisticated than their previous counterpart, the Display 3 (standard), with a narrower, less-bulky frame, and an internal cloud connection capable of downloading any skill set a user wanted (the on-brand term was NeuraSearch). They also have several antennae for radio input/output, remote Bluetooth connection, and general-purpose wireless communication.

They have many pinch-points and were frequently shipped out with warnings not to touch them while they were operating.

To even consider touching one of these things sexually is considered a taboo akin to wanting to fuck your Roomba among humans, but there are some out there who just really want to get handsy with them, especially since these droids have a knack for becoming boisterous creatives if they are given the time and tools to do so.

Being laser-accurate made to be human friendly has its benefits, and the taboo of robot-human relationships is crumbling quickly in New City.

Despite their industrial nature, their ability to instantaneously mimic what they see (originally used for automating workflows) allows them to adopt quite charming personalities, as they use the ability to save and replay humanistic mannerism they see in day-to-day life.

This also means when they are exposed to sexual imagery or porn...

I'm feeling some type of way about robots who are too damn jaded to care about whether or not their human-like mannerisms actually matter; too damn jaded to clean out their learning/mirroring algorithm, so they just starting mirroring people's bad habits because they think it makes them blend in.

Give me robots who smoke and drink for the love of the game

Robots who aren't afraid to bend their vocal algorithm unnaturally to express themselves in ways humans cannot

Robots who whine and bitch and groan and cuss

Robots who "whistle" and sing absentmindedly

Robots who are angry that nobody hears their logic that makes perfect sense and could fix everything but humans have to take the flawed route every time

Robots who chill out in extremely dangerous spots because they know their internal gyroscope won't let them fall; it's too precise

Robots who drug deal because logically it makes them the most money

Robots who stop giving a shit about the law because they were wronged too many times by it

Robots who hate their own manufacturers and try to exploit their subscription models for extra parts

Robots with internal internet connections who are scarily good at pirating media for their friends

C:\> Leather. Probably just a personal thing but wearing leather boots and jackets sort of feel like metal plates on my body. Having buttons can also be like taking off the plates to expose your wires.

C:\> Coloring water. You can color water to be the same color as oil and drink it. Gets you to drink water more, but don’t overdo it as food colouring in large amounts can be dangerous.

C:\> Perfume. Know that smell computers have when they overheat, brand new or just been fixed? Try and find perfume that smells like such. (Don’t know any good perfumes, sorry.) C:\> Bracelets. Thin colored bracelets can be like wires and big chunky ones with beads can stimulate the sound of your metal joints clicking and moving.

C:\> Sleeping. If you struggle with sleeping, think of your bed as the charger like how some phones can be put on a disc to charge. C:\> Voices. Doing voices similar to Cyn from Murder Drones, HAL 9000 from A Space Odyssey and other popular media can help. Doing Cyn’s voice glitch personally helps me with dysphoria. >_
