Robots 2005 Double Trouble AU
So in this AU, Diesel actually has a twin sister named Petrol Springer, from whom he was separated a long time ago. The reason he hadn't told his friends sooner was because he didn't have a voice box of course what else, and he didn't trust them when he first met them. Back then, he was kinda a bit cautious and bitey towards the Rusties.
But once he got to know and trust them, he tried other ways to communicate with them, though he wasn't very successful cuz it always fails. Though he sometimes worried that Petrol might be gone, but he told himself that she wasn't really the type of bot to just give up on him. So he waited, believing that one day they would find each other again.
They reunite after the celebration in Rivet Town ends, just as the Rusties are about to head home. Out of nowhere, Petrol rushes in and tackles Diesel with full force, catching him completely off guard and Diesel yelp in suprise, before the two of them fell to the ground. At first, he’s startled and confuse, but then he realizes it’s his twin sister, and he’s overwhelmed with joy, nearly tearing up at the sight of her again.
The two siblings pull each other into a tight hug while Rodney and the rest of the gang stand there in confusion, wondering what the heck just happened—and why there are suddenly two DIESELS!?.
After the hug, Petrol immediately begins scolding Diesel in annoyance and anger, demanding to know what he’s been doing while they were separated. She tells him he has no idea how worried she’s been about him, and everything she went through trying to find him. (Like literally you have no idea how hard she searched for him all over the city while trying not to have another breakdown and just internally screaming of trying to find him).
She’s still a little mad at Diesel, but she tolerates it and lets him off the hook—after all, he’s her twin brother.
She and Diesel are now spending some sibling bonding time, getting to know each other better and probably doing mischief. Meanwhile, the Rusties are doing their best to earn Petrol’s trust, as she’s a bit — well, a lot — harder to win over than Diesel.
Her literally going full detective mode when she was still looking for him
