For my next relationship:
I shouldn't have to long for your approval because I have been there before with the toughest critic and never got it. I shouldn’t need anyone else’s approval because I am happy with who I am, and I will continue to do the things I love no matter what. Yet, this doesn’t mean we shouldn’t compliment each other, I won’t wait or beg or wonder for compliments because it should be automatic. Hearing nice things from your significant other should give you the same feeling as saying them, making you happy makes me happy.
I want to have fun with you, that means doing things we both enjoy. Or suffering through something because you like it, and more times than none I will come to like it as well. I believe in you (whoever you are) and you should know that. I will push you and talk you through anything. I will stand by you or guide you if I need to, as long as you do the same for me. I will love you with my whole heart and you should trust me because I will trust you. I won't yell at you or call you names, I won't tell you what to do or doing anything out of spite, but just know that because of this I expect you to not take advantage of my kindness and give me the same in return. If I am with you it means I see a future with you, but it doesn't mean we should stop trying. I want to experience the world with you, and build things with you, whether physically or mentally. Even if you feel like you don’t have things figured out right now that’s okay because I want to grow with you.
Our sex will be amazing because we make it that way, we will both give what we receive. I will look at you with the same eyes I did when I first fell for you. Just know that sometimes I get sick, and in the mornings I'm cranky. I like to cook but that doesn't mean it will always be that good. I have a sense of humor and like to fuck around... oh and curse a lot. I love music and if you tell me my music is weird, I’ll call you weird. I love my dog so if you don’t like her this relationship will never work. I like to get my hands dirty and make things, so if you’re ever working on something count me in. Don’t ever exclude me out of a project or conversation because you think I “won’t get it”. I would love to learn anything that you’re interested in, which is why I am a great listener and spectator. I don’t believe in religion, just life. I don’t believe in hope, I believe in doing what you need to in order to get what you want.
I like to be honest and I expect the same from you. I put my all into everything so just remind me sometimes not to spread myself thin. I'm clumsy but pretend not to be so just grab me by the hand and help weigh me down. I am smart, so if you are keeping something from me don't(unless there is good reason), I can understand more than you can imagine. I appreciate beauty this means of the world and of others but it doesn't mean I don't appreciate you. Sometimes I get anxious and my mind goes on a ramble, all you have to do is listen and touch me in just the slightest way. If you love me just your touch can do wonders. I am my own worst enemy, any flaw you feel the need to point out.. Trust me when I say I already know. This also means that I take things to heart, so please when your angry don't say something you don't mean. I don't always feel pretty, this doesn't mean you need to compliment me or dress me in nice clothing, it means I just want you there whether I'm ugly or not.
I am a strong person so if you ever decide to leave me know that I can take it, but give me the time to see if we can work things out because I am not a quitter. I am strong but I am also weak with emotions so give me time to process things and I promise I will understand. If you do something bad I will still love you, and if you go away I will still love you. Once you enter my heart you will always remain there, whether fully or faded, a part of you still remains. So treat me as such, treat me like you would treat your first home. It's something you are ecstatic to have and build upon no matter the expenses, as time goes on you still love that house. Sometimes you feel like you don’t because it comes with its flaws but you remember its an investment you made that can be improved upon. It’s built on a good foundation so after any hit it takes you have the power to make it bigger and stronger. There are so many memories there, once you leave you will never forget it. So your probably wondering why am I telling you about the end before there is even a beginning? Because if you go into something great knowing that there is the possibility of an ending, it makes you want to fight to keep it alive that much more!
