Here are some fun little facts about Makoto Naegi!

~ During DR1, he is 160CM tall. In DR3, he is 161CM

~ He was originally supposed to be the mastermind of Danganronpa: Goodbye Despair (supposedly). During the final trial of Trigger Happy Havoc, once he gains the title of Ultimate Hope, if you look at his report card, it'll say he's the Ultimate Despair instead. However, this decision changed and Izuru became the mastermind instead.

~ He canonically has a huge pain tolerance. This was especially shown during his execution, After School Lesson, when he fell down the trapdoor. The fall is estimated to have been around 470 metres (though that may be wrong, so don't attack the messenger) which is taller than the Empire State Building to the very top (443 metres).

~ He became the Ultimate Lucky Student via taking a longer route home which resulted in the postman's motorcycle blowing up, meaning the letter to go to the original Lucky Student got burnt up, so Hope's Peak had to send out another letter which got sent to Makoto. (Based off of Makoto Naegi secret file)

~ He was born on the 5th February, making him an Aquarius.

~ Makoto and Nagito share a lot in common and are two sides of the same coin. This is shown from:

- Having the same talent

- Having the same VAs

- Both are obsessed with/related to Hope

- Nagito's name is an anagram for Makoto Naegi Da, which translates to "I am Makoto Naegi"

- Both have a ridiculous amount of luck. (However whilst Nagito's luck cycles between good and bad, Makoto's seems to just do whatever it takes to keep him alive, whether it be good or bad)

~ He has survived a total of two killing games

~ He and Byakuya Togami are the only characters to appear in every canon anime and game in the Hope's Peak series

(Which includes DR1, DtA, DR2, DR3, UDG)

They also appear in V3 when Tsumugi cosplay as them.
