i think the thing i regret missing the most actually isn't the Invitation from the Slumbering Moon or Across the Galaxy of Dreams updates. it would actually have to be not getting the sea of stars train station. the worst part about this is maybe that I WAS THERE FOR THE UPDATE. I PLAYED SONG OF THE NIGHT SEA, I EVEN PLAYED SUPER MAYHEM: DREAM STATION AND GOT THE GUARDIAN OF DREAMS ARENA STATUE. curse my f2p ways </333

if i could go back in time once, i would use that one chance to purchase this perfect station, i'm so serious

i am going to be so honest i really miss that one specific set of kingdom updates from vanilla to cacao. to be clear we don't play the game anymore.

i think we started falling out of the game between odyssey and triple-cone because we thought the new rarities were stupid (and the more they added the stupider they got), and then came the beasts. i don't think we've said here but we cannot staaand the beasts. we never could. okay fine salt is the exception. the other four though? especially milk????? we never really enjoyed them even after trying to be more open. so by the end of the first b-yeast update (and after a long period of on-and-off playing) we dropped the game fully.

(side note i think we are eternally cursed to have our favorite characters in any media be the most neglected or actively-disliked. most of the commons and rares are so precious to us you wouldn't believe it)

it's just that recently i've been longing for the few updates from back when we started playing the game. i almost wish i could have it all back in some capacity. something about them felt so enchanting, it was a sort of warmth-in-the-blizzard for us, especially lantern in the snow. we have suuuch fond memories of that update, along with the cacao update (where we woke up at 4 to play as soon as it dropped and IMMEDIATELY got dark cacao first pull. we had a friend on voice chat and we were both losing our entire minds).

it makes me especially sad that the character designs aren't as simple anymore? the newer cookies always have some weird eyes or showy hair or whatnot, and i personally think it's too much complexity for what is meant to be gingerbreads. i think it was nice when they sometimes had a little flair, but it was unique; they weren't all trying to outshine each other or mimic other styles.

i do realize i sound like a stuuuupid old guy yelling about the ""good old days"" after all this. i don't know, i guess i just miss the nice feelings this game used to bring us. i wish i could feel it all again.
