NO NAME FOR THIS. this is my 3rd attempt trying to post this from computer im so MAD STOP

okay whatever. WARNINNGGSS: alcoholism, violence, drug mentions

Samuel was living on the streets in his old city after being fired from his 3rd police gig. He was sleeping under nothing but newspapers and with dumpsters for food and daily news when things were thrown out. The one thing he always managed to keep on him was a crumpled pack of cigarettes stuffed with marjiuana tucked safely into his coat. They were love from a cheap pack that he could throw away the next day, but they gave him something to hold onto when everything else had slipped away.

He thought he lost hope, until he remembered something important. Something special. His brother. The two were never close, but he should have somewhere to stay if he went and talked to Eddie. Maybe he’d have enough warmth in his heart to truly let him in.

And with that knowledge he had in mind, he got up, and began traveling. He didn’t know where, but he knew Eddie was somewhere.

The trip was anything but easy. He walked for hours until his legs ached, hitchhiking whenever someone was willing to spare a seat. Most weren't. Days blurred together beneath gray skies, and the hunger never truly left him, but hope kept him moving. It was a stubborn thing, refusing to die no matter how many times reality tried to smother it. Whenever he stopped to rest, he'd fish a roach from the pack, strike a match if he still had one, and let the smoke drift into the air. It did little to ease the ache in his body, but the familiar ritual gave him a brief sense of normalcy.

Eddie. The name echoed in his head with every step. They haven’t spoken since... What... they were 18? 20? His memory was so muddled, he could barely remember WHY they stopped talking. Even as children they were never close, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t try now. Family was everything. Well. It WAS everything. Not since Samuel moved to pursue his job and school.

Depression won over his thoughts as he trudged through the woods. A colorful array of trees, bugs, and plants surrounded him as he walked. He was getting tired. Usually he’d be asleep on his bench a few towns over, but he was getting close. He could feel it. He knew.

Samuel reached into his coat, pulling out another cigarette with tired hands. He lit it, taking a slow drag before exhaling toward the canopy overhead. The smoke curled between the branches, disappearing just as quickly as it had appeared. He watched it for a moment, then flicked the ash aside and continued onward, each step just a little heavier than the last. His pace slowed for a second. Pondering as he slumped against a tree, lifting his head “What if he’s gone..?” He wondered. People moved, changed names, died at a young age from stupid decisions. He got back up, and turned around to go home, before pausing “One more mile.” So, he continued his journey, knowing after everything, he was never leaving a bench, or a couch, ever again. Whatever or Wherever he could end up, he knew someone would eventually take him in. Samuel walked for about 25 more minutes, not knowing if he even reached a mile. Considering it being the 70’s, until he spotted something. A mailbox. People running around. Another town. He sighed and exited the forest, rubbing his eyes as he approached a bench, sitting down on it, flicking his burnt out cigarette out of his mouth onto the ground “Maybe this is where I should stop.. I give up.” The bench, however, unstable, crumpled under his weight, causing him to grunt in pain. But he didn’t move. He laid his head back on the metal armrest, and shut his eyes. But before he could even get rest, he felt someone roughly grab his shoulder, causing him to wake right back up, and sit up, his head bumping into the towering man's chest. He rubbed the back of his head “CAN YOU WATCH It..mack..?” He looked up, to find a bodega keeper. A pretty pissed off one if he did say so himself! He got up off the broken bench, rubbing an eye in confusion. Before he could even get a word out, said bodega keeper grabbed his arm, and just began shouting “YOU REALIZE YOU’RE PAYING FOR THAT, RIGHT?! I'm pretty sure it was 2… no! 300 in cold hard CASH buddy! I swear! Not only that but you’re loitering on MY property! That's a fine! Do you hear me?!” Samuel frowned, and sighed, pulling out his wallet, handing him a 50$ “Sorry. That's all I have. Have a good day.” He tried walking away, but was pulled back, causing him to roughly smack his hand away “Get your hands off of me?! Who treats a stranger like that?!” “THATS ASSAULT.” “YEAH, WELL, MAYBE DON’T LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME! Asshole!” Samuel adjusted his coat, and sped off, speedwalking up the hill to where the rest of the neighborhood was, Howdy shouting about payment fading in the background as he was quick to storm back inside.  As Samuel slowed down to catch his breath, he recognized that this neighborhood was trashy. Most of it anyway. Houses were either weirdly colored, broken, or… Decent looking. He noticed a Library, it was cozy looking. Somewhere he could take time to rest and continue his journey. He approached the library, and opened the door, it seems like they were open today! He went inside, and sat down beside the door, burying his head in his hands, his fingers digging into his scalp He sat there for a bit. 30-45 minutes at best, until a hand… paw? Rested on his shoulder. He lifted his head up, and wiped his nose. He spoke to the man above him “Are ya’ gonna scream at me too? I'm not looking for trouble.” The beagle shook his head, and sat beside the sad officer. “Why would I scream at you? I just want to know, what's got you all glum?” Samuel scooted away from the beagle, and looked him in the eye, his voice low and rough

“Im not glum. I just need a break from traveling.” The beagle tilted his head in confusion “Traveling? Where are you headed? I can probably help you.” Samuel looked back down at the floor, a small scoff escaping his lips as he forced himself back up, his legs trembling from the exhaustion he was facing “I can handle myself.” Barnaby got up, and reached his paw out but paused, speaking “Now hold on there just a second. You kinda look like one of our neighbors. Except the skin. But everything else seems about right! is’ name is Eddie.” Samuel paused by the door, letting go of the handle as he turned to face the beagle “Eddie? Like–Eddie Dear?” “Why, yes, He lives in the post office down the street! You know the guy?” Samuel nodded eagerly “Of course I do! That's my little brother!” “Well, I won’t pry anymore. Maybe you should go see him.” And he did. He left the library, jogging down the street in desperation. Not for Eddie of course, but for a couch to sleep on. Maybe a bed if he was lucky enough. But before he could even reach it, he bumped right into ANOTHER resident. He was about the same height as her, if not less. He sighed and backed up, about to run past her, before she got in his way “Where ya headed?” Her voice was rushed as she spoke “Wh- psh- that don’t concern you!” Samuel responded, shoving past the lady, just to be stopped by her again “But you bumped into me, so it does!” Samuel groaned in annoyance “Do you have to be- mm- just MOVE!” He shoved her away again “Don’t you think its a little rude to shove a lady?!” She lunged, biting him, causing him to flail his arms as her sharp teeth sunk into his skin. She eventually got off, and walked away, muttering about how rude men were to women in that neighborhood. He finally made it to eddies post office, and banged on the door, heaving and coughing. At first, there was no answer, until he banged harder. After his second attempt, the door opened, revealing his brother. A bit taller, but not all that much. Eddie was holding a bottle of some type of alcohol, swirling it in his hand “Who are you and what-... Oh boy! My brother! The one that should’ve stayed in his town.” He tried closing the door, but Samuel stopped it with his foot. Eddie scowled “Move your foot before I crush it.” “Eddie, please.” Samuel begged, it made Eddie waver through his alcoholic daze. 

“Eddie, I need somewhere to stay!” “Then find somewhere to stay? You have connections, you’re a cop for pete's sake.” Samuel looked at Eddie, grabbing his shoulders pleadingly, but it caused eddie to stagger back“Don’t you get it, brother?! I have nowhere to go! I’ve been on the streets for weeks!” “Then stay with mom?” Samuel walked inside, cornering Eddie, not touching him“She’s been up and around in many different places, what makes you think I keep up with her?! I'm a grown ass man, who stays with their mother, Eddie?!" Eddie sighed, then shoved Samuel away“Do you want to sit down over a beer and talk about it?. Also, don’t touch OR corner me.” “I would LOVE to sit down over a beer and chat about it.”

Samuel. I honestly looked at eddies reference and read through it before actually desinging it by itself.

I think Samuel would be an addict, not to drinking, but to drugs, TCH, that sorta stuff. He is either constantly couch surfing or living with his brother, whichever suits him best. (Hes probably mostly found at the library)

He REEKS of marijuna and beer. Mostly drugs though. Beer is just something he drinks. It's like apple juice or soda to him. "Aww... I want something sweet to drink... No matter I'll go grab a beer."

Despite being officer of the law, he. Doesn't even do his job, he partakes in the illegal stuff. Leading to his eye. I remember JACE saying something about Eddie being hurt by howdy, and I have no clue if that applies now since its 2026 and you're just now working on it.

Id imagine he got attacked by howdy for trying to steal drinks from his shop, leading to his eye. They don't talk anymore. But he still comes by to get a drink or something "cheap"

(Something bigger led up to his eye I gotta write more later)

My personality idea for him was;

Hes cynical, untrustworthy, and manipulative.

An official introduction to the Don't Come Home AU

The DCH/Opposite AU is an au i made Ages ago, way back when i first started on Tumblr. I recently decided to revamp it for the sake of FUN and proving my improvement over the last three years. That's why it might be kind of cringe and self indulgent sometimes. hahah.,,,,

General Content Warnings: anything extreme will be warned beforehand post-by-post, but just as an overview:

what IS the DCH au?

the DCH (Don't Come Home) AU is an au in which Welcome Home was an adult parody show by the same name

Basically: OG! is sesame street, DCH! is Awkward Puppets. OG! Is MLP, DCH! Is any MLP fan content.

It's also been compared to Avenue Q! which i haven't seen (YET) but based on what i've seen i agree.

At it's core, it's an opposite AU. Taking the premises of all your favorite characters and inverting them to be less child-friendly and general opposites of the versions you know and love. That's why the characters can also be referred to as "Opposite" instead of DCH interchangeably

Happy 21st birthday! Woohoo! I got some things to say to you @diggitydoggo

It's honestly hard to put into words how much you mean to me, sometimes I sit and think about how long we've known each other, and it makes me emotional. You were there for me when I was 14 years old, during some of my hardest moments, you have continued to be here for me. You've seen me at my lowest, understood my pain when I struggled to explain it, and helped me stand back up when I felt like I couldn't do it alone.

You are one of the few people who has ever made me feel truly understood. Around you, I don't feel like I have to hide parts of myself or pretend I'm someone I'm not, I can speak freely and be honest about how I feel and I know I'll be accepted, that kind of comfort is rare, and it's something I'll always be grateful for.

It's crazy to think about everything we've been through together. From Welcome home, to TADC, to Dandy's World, and all the conversations, memories and moments in between, if I had the chance to relive the day we met, I think I would. not because I want to change anything, but because I'd get to experience all of this with you again.

You've inspired me in more ways than you probably realized your art inspired me to draw, but your kindness, strength and support inspired me to watching you grow over these past years has been such an honor.

I hope 21 treats you kindly. You deserve so much happiness and love, and I'll always be cheering you on.

Ok, let me explain what's going on in my life.

For the past week (or 5 business days) Ive been experiencing pain on my abdomen. Its not excruciating, but it does hurt. I went to the hospital to get scans done, and I got a huge cyst, bigger than my palm on my ovaries.

What does that mean for me? There's a chance I could get open surgery done to get it drained. Meaning posts will slow down so I can take care of myself.

If its optional surgery. Let me be completely clear: I will get it so it doesn't come back. For the sake of my health and happiness and what's best for ME.

Some obvious questions:

"Will you still be active"

Yes! Absolutely! Surgery might make me less active but I'll be here for chats and to occasionally post things if i have the energy.

"How long will drawing be out for?"

Depends. I could draw a day after, a week after. I can't give a time frame, it all depends on how my body wants to work.

"Are you okay?"

Completely fine. I'm just being careful and riding the waves as easy as I can.

I'm completely open to questions about my situation. Anything deeply personal won't be answered, but I wanted to give insight on what might happen in the future

Let me be clear: I am unsure if I'm gonna be offered surgery. But the post is to be clear. I don't want to be confusing or just stop one day and come back weeks later.
